We love this location for walking along the river and getting to everything in Dayton. The free breakfast is better than most and the staff are so kind and helpful. We love the free parking but struggled with the new app. Fortunately, the staff were great and helped us figure it out!

We tried to use the parking pass to leave the garage & it wouldn't work. We had to pay $32 to get out. Then it wouldn't give us a receipt. When we contacted the hotel, we were tomd to call back that afternoon for the manager. When we called the manager they said without a receipt they couldn't reimburse us but to call back on Monday to speak with the general manager. This made an otherwise nice stay in a pain. Hm..perhaps a bank statement will do.

Throughly enjoyed staying here. Courteous staff from check in to check out. Make sure you visit the lounge/bar and hang out with Aaron! Conveniently located in Dayton within minutes of attractions and restaurants.

Staff was excellent. The property was clean and offered a small bar in the lobby. A parking garage behind the hotel provided plenty of free parking with a tag provided by front desk staff. I am not sure that the area around the hotel was walkable. I would like to commend the individual who checked us in (Mohammed) for his exceptional service.

I liked the area and restaurants around and in walking distance to the hotel It also is across the street from a minor league baseball field. The rooms and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is included and many choices are offered. The staff is friendly and professional and there is a bar in the lobby and the prices are reasonable.

Absolutely wonderful stay!! The front desk staff ladies were the BEST, specifically, Lisa. I had a few minor issues and Lisa went above and beyond to be certain I was happy. I travel often and Lisa is honestly what made my stay the most memorable. What an asset she is. The hotel is in a great location in the city center with great views of the river. Love that the parking was free in an enclosed parking garage with an assigned spot. Rooms were nice and clean.

Completely satisfied customer here. Front desk staff have warm wonderful personalities. At check-in, the first woman I encountered was very generous with her time and advice on where to shop, eat, etc. Great location. Loved the noise machine on the nightstand and the shower, too. You do need the noise machine as the walls are thin. Just saying!

Well, I had reserved a single, king bed. When I checked in and went to my room, I discovered that it was a hearing impaired room (that was not really an issue) with 2 queen beds. I tried to call the front desk to see if there were any other rooms, but no one answered. It was very late, so I moved forward. The walls were so thin that I could actually hear, and understand, what the people in the room next to me were saying, and it was not an adjoining room with a door between us. It was after 2am, so I just moved forward to hope that I was tired enough to fall asleep, but they continued to talk and laugh and then they discussed the burritos that they were putting into the microwave. I finally fell asleep, only to be awakened by snoring from the other side of the wall. I began to understand why this was a hearing impaired room, because the walls were so thin. Upon checking out, I was asked how my stay was and told the desk agent my story. She looked up my reservation and discovered that I had indeed reserved a king single. She stated that she would talk to the manager about this, as she couldn't understand why I was put in that particular room. Overall, the place is ok, but I was forced to start my very busy day with less sleep than I was hoping.

The hotel and the room was one of the best we have seen, and we travel quite often. The best part for me was the room included a white noise machine that helpws me sleep because I have a hard time sleeping...it was wonderful!

Very clean and well maintained. Nice to have free parking at a downtown hotel. Breakfast was okay - scambled eggs, sausage, etc. Can be a bit loud from the motorcyles going by outside on the street. The room did have a noise-masking unit (a box that plays white noise [like radio static]), but the box would not have masked out the motorcycles. But that quieted down by midnight or so.

The property was OK. I was charged an "extra night stay" after checking out at 8:30am with keys returned and printed receipt in hand. Almost 3 weeks later cannot get in touch with the person who authorized the charge to get it resolved.

Staff are very nice and rooms and common areas are attractive. Ample free parking in the garage though you have to walk down a driveway to get to it. Breakfast was okay and there's in-room fridge and microwave. I liked having the option to decline housekeeping as it's less hassle that way. Main drawback here is location, unless you're going to the ball park or the Southern Belle. There's not much else around, you have to walk about 15 minutes or else drive to find coffee, restaurants and shops. Hotel has no restaurant or food beyond breakfast and doesn't even offer all-day coffee. Also some sketchy activity happening in the building next door/ adjacent to the parking garage, that involved a few dozen people on a Sunday afternoon hanging around the garage dressed in revealing clubwear smoking cannabis and blasting very loud rap music that could be clearly heard from my 6th floor room. For location and dining, the UD Marriott is nicer, or else I'd try to stay closer to the Oregon District.

For location and dining, the UD Marriott is nicer, or else I'd try to stay closer to the Oregon District.

Absolutely wonderful stay!! The front desk staff ladies were the BEST, specifically, Lisa. I had a few minor issues and Lisa went above and beyond to be certain I was happy. I travel often and Lisa is honestly what made my stay the most memorable. What an asset she is. The hotel is in a great location in the city center with great views of the river. Love that the parking was free in an enclosed parking garage with an assigned spot. Rooms were nice and clean.

The staff at the Fairfield were great! We were driving an unusual vehicle and they went above and beyond for assisting us with parking. The hotel is the closet one to the River Walk with the Dayton Dragons baseball field right across the street. Walkable to numerous restaurants.

room was clean and spacious, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and the shower was really nice, with good soap/shampoo provided. i appreciated having a microwave and fridge in the room and being a short walk away from the convention center, Arby’s, a cute independent cinema, and a nice little park. the included breakfast options were really good too, and for a variety of dietary needs. would recommend this hotel!

Great location, room, and check-in. My only complaint is the pictures of the hot breakfast are not exactly accurate. I’m sure they’ve had what’s pictured once, but I’m guessing that’s not the usual offerings. They have your basic oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and bagels. The hard boiled eggs were tough/rubbery and the scrambled were not eggs, but rather an instant powder with a lot of watery residue. No meat option like sausage, ham, or bacon, but rather a thick gravy with minced sausage. Other than those misleading pictures, it was a pleasant stay.

The only way to use the microwave was to slam the door shut and then program it. Also, the refrigerator didn’t work (it was reported). Was told it needed to be replaced but wasn’t given an option of what to do with our food which went bad. The breakfast sausages needed to be cooked longer as well as the eggs; they were very wet!

Had a great time in Dayton at this conveniently located hotel. Was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the friendly welcome and explanation of how to work the free parking. Free breakfast was also a plus and the coffee was great! All staff we interacted with were above and beyond friendly. Would stay again any time.

There aren't too much hotel choices in Grand Haven for a short stay. This Baymont is dated all around. The positives about our stay: The beds were comfortable, the sheets were clean and the shower pressure was solid. I did not eat at the continental breakfast, but other family members said it was good with lots of options. Improvements needed: The pool area had many lights out and the water was so cloudy you couldn't see your feet when you looked down. The sink in my room did not drain. The A/C worked but did not dry out the room. The room smelled dank and moldy. You could hear sounds from the hallway and rooms next door. I could hear a dog barking next door very clearly. I will try another hotel when I return to Grand Haven.
