Flagship Inn

A solid clean room with 1/2 mile of walking to Boothbay harbor. 2 stories high, no elevators. Less expensive than those around it. It fit our needs well

Roo was good and pool water good but no outdoor shower. Only negative was railing broken at end

We were very comfortable. Beautiful pool and landscaping. I wish the hot tub worked. Delicious hot breakfast. Easy checkin and checkout. I wish there was handicap accessible to second level.

Well known two story motel just outside Boothbay Harbor. Nice pool and breakfast. Clean rooms. Property overall well kept. Grocery store very close walk.

We cancelled our stay after 1night due to the amenities they advertised were not available. The bar/restaurant was closed, the hot tub wasn’t working and desk staff was unfriendly and curt to our concerns.

It wasn’t a fancy place, but they had a heated pool, even though the Jacuzzi was empty, and a nice breakfast the next day

Our sheets were dirty - late at night so we slept on top of covers. There were no washclothes. My feet were dirty again after I walked from shower to chair to put my shoes/socks on. Breakfast was terrible. Not a pleasant experience at all!

What a pleasant experience! Our room was immaculate, it looked like no one had been there before. The shower was amazing, the towels were soft, the fridge and microwave were retro modern and adorable! The tv was large, the bed was good…. The staff made check in quick and easy, no issues whatsoever! We come to the area at least once a year and we will stay here every time going forward.

Room was not clean, our fee included cleaning which is shocking because the room was not clean when we got there. So very difficult to operate the TV, extremely confusing. Very friendly people, they took care of our concerns the day we brought them, they were very accommodating for our later check in ( I got there at 2:30 AM the day after check in) beds were comfy. Due to the uncleanliness I doubt I’ll stay again

Staff friendly enough. Dead moth on pillow and candy wrapper flew out when we pulled the covers down.

Not the cleanest. Property needs attention. Floors, walls dinged up and worn. Bedding and bathrooms stained and worn. Ok for a quick nights stay, but would rather not stay again.

Ok stay for the wedding next door. Everything was fine, a little dated but it worked. Extremely disgusting floors!! Would stay again.

Very clean and quiet!

For it being a motel we did not have high expectations but the lack of cleanliness made me feel extremely uncomfortable. The floor was visibly dirty, leftover food in the microwave, etc. It made me question whether the bedding was clean or not due to the lack of attention with the rest of the room. Was very noisy at night and beds were uncomfortable.

The check in was wonderful. The room size is good. Ac did not work, at all. Bathroom could have been cleaner, there were hairs on the floor. Beds were older and not super comfortable.

Filthy rooms

The hotel was a good value, not high-end but convenient and fairly comfortable. We arrived a few minutes early and were told, by a not very friendly clerk, that we could check in “early” for $25. We chose to drive around and come back in 25 minutes. This struck us as very unusual, and unfortunately set a negative tone for the start of our three-day stay. However, the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a decent breakfast each day and found our room adequate. I must add that the lighting in the room was terrible; no overhead light and minuscule reading lamps over the bed. On the plus side, the water in the shower was instantly hot and at full pressure; the towels were large and thick; and there was a newish (aqua-colored) fridge and microwave reminiscent of the 1950s (but they worked well.) Would we stay here again? Probably not, but if your travel budget is limited the Flagship Inn would be okay. There is a nice looking outdoor pool but they were shutting it down for the winter while we were there; not the season for outdoor swimming, not their fault.

Everything was fine. Wish then was more lighting in the room.

The room was clean, but initially smelled a little musty. The bed could have been more comfortable with nicer pillows. The room was a good size and we appreciated having the refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was better than we expected, fresh and well maintained. The grounds were very nice, with picnic tables and chairs. The proximity to area sights was the best. Overall very good value for the money, we would stay there again.

The place is Very Dated. Thin walls but for a night or 2 it’s ok. Rusty towel rack, painted tub/ shower, chairs were kinda nasty looking. Probably not going to stay there again.

Noisy room...could hear tv and voices next door all night. Hard beds. Old rom newly painted but old style.

The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning system was very bad. It was too noisy when on and too hot when off.

Friendly staff, large pet relief area but no bags, rooms clean but mattresses a little stiff. Pillows nice, water pressure great, nice hot water. Walls thin…heard neighbors tv.

Breakfast and room was great, location too. Also loved having a fridge freezer and microwave in the room. My only complaint is the AC unit wouldn’t stay on and should be upgraded

The front desk staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I called to ask if I can add or adjust the name on the reservation as one of my staff members was arriving earlier than the other, although both were sharing the same room. I was met with “that’s not my problem” and “sorry, nothing I can do”. Then he informed me that the individual NOT listed on the reservation can show an ID and be permitted to head to the room. This is concerning considering there is no record of this person being on the reservation (because it wasn’t his problem), so I assume they’ll let literally anyone enter a room if they show an ID. Be cautious, obvious issues can arise from this. All in all, pass this place up. No one deserves to be treated that way.

No staff after 9pm, and unclear in breakfast in the morning. Asking a person at the desk would have been helpful.

The young lady who checked us in for our stay is amazing! She welcome us with smile and was able to change our room from second floor to main floor due to my partner as MS, she was very empathic! When we got to our room the tv wasn’t working g and I went to the desk and was told by the young man he’d sent someone but after an hour know one came so I texted the front desk and within 10 mins the young lady that had given us amazing customer service came to our room with a young man to attend too the issues with the tv! I’m a HR Manager and I wish I had employees whom were that attentive too our customers!

They went above and beyond when my earring dropped down the sink. The maintenance man came quickly and was able to retrieve it. Everyone was kind and friendly only downside was no hangers or place to hang clothes no closet rack.

Room clean on arrival. Housekeeper came once, told her to come back in about half hour--room was never cleaned. Found electrical outlet plates missing. Plenty of pillows! Room comfortable. Arrived hour before checkin..desk clerk was not very friendly--very blunt. Told me check in was at 3:00 and to come back.I asked him if we could talk, and he said I could talk to him, but it would cost $50 if I wanted to check in now and to come back in an hourl Lady who checked me in at 3:10 was very friendly. Room was nice, clean and comfortable--nothing exceptional.

Great hospitality and staff very friendly. Nice place to stay! Will be back when we visit Boothbay Harbor next!

Staff courteous and helpful.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Horrible and unsafe check in process, hidden fees. The hotel emailed me saying that you can’t check in after 6pm or they will forfeit your reservation, but to call and let them know if you will arrive after 6pm. I called the hotel and was rerouted to a third party service in India. The representative told me someone would be on site to check me in until 11pm. I felt weird about this call, as the caller did not say what hotel they represented, nor did they ask for my name. I also emailed the hotel to let them know. I arrived at 9:30pm and the lobby was locked up and no one was there. Alone in the dark, I had to use a ring doorbell, which connected me to the third party call center in India. The service was HORRIBLE and I couldn’t hear the woman. Eventually I was given a code to open a lockbox, which I was greeted my 10 other sets of keys for everyone else’s room! So unsafe. The caller kept asking for my credit card information, even though I already prepaid. Super sketchy and I would not recommend giving any credit card information. The hotel was trying to tack on extra cleaning and “resort” fees I later learned. Very inhospitable and super unwelcoming and very unsafe. No cleaning service throughout our stay. Stay anywhere in Boothbay but here. Awful experience, worst check in experience of my life. No one actually works here, it’s just run by a call center in India.

The room was basic but clean. The guy checking us in, manager or owner (not sure), was rude and unfriendly. I wouldn’t recommend.

This place was a great value! Breakfast was wonderful pool lovely and clean. Location was great. Hiking trail head right next door and less than a mile walk into Boothbay Harbor

Great value very close to downtown

Perfectly located for the activities we wanted to pursue. Staff very friendly and helpful. The exterior grounds were delightful. If we ever return to Boothbay Harbor I can’t imagine why we would stay anywhere else.

Close to Boothbay Harbor with easy access to local attractions. Close to Botanical Gardens. Very pleasant stay. Nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy the evening.

The hotel is dated but room was large and comfortable. Had to ask for maintenance to fix hai dryer and coffee maker. Breakfast was blah. Paper plates and cups. Too few tables. Close to town but not walking distance. Exterior was a bit shabby.

heat not on in room when we arrived. heater was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep. November 20th in Maine! "breakfast" was a joke.

the heat was off when we entered the room. It was 36 degrees. The heater was unbelievely loud making it almost impossible to sleep. The bathroom door,s top hinge was very loose so the door would not close. Perhaps if the restaurant was open (closed for season but not stated and charged $2 for Breakfast) breakfast would have been different. It was a tiny nook with 3 metal chairs and a small metal table. Small selection with nothing I wanted to eat. Room was okay. Of the many hotels we have stayed at, this is the only poor review I have ever given.

Great little place. New and adorable for a motel like stay. Very clean however it says free breakfast but it was just a voucher for an off property diner. The breakfast was good but it wasn't free, only $5 off per person. The hotel staff in the am was pretty rude about my confusion over breakfast but a safe and clean stay overall.
