The staff were very friendly! They have an inclosed parking option attached which was really nice! Recently remodeled! The stairs were a little wild but they are building an elevator! And the beds/pillows were a little uncomfortable. Overall a really decent price for the location and what you get!

Rooms ok, have been updated. Problem was noise all through the night. Also if you park, your car may be blocked by other cars and it would take some work to get it out in the morning.

Had to Pay $30 extra to be able to Park inside their parking lot. And you had to leave them your car keys so they can move the car for someone else to leave or move there car. Breakfast sucked. But the rooms were just ok. Could've been better for the price i payed for that room…

The Signature is very convenient for access to the city. There are many transportation stops within walking distance to the hotel. They have limited space for parking which cost $30/night. It can also be very tight if it’s full. The hotel was going through some renovations including installing an elevator so it currently isn’t wheelchair accessible. There is a set of stairs that they direct you to through the parking area that is pretty narrow, but there is another set of stairs adjacent to those that will give access to the opposite end of the hall on each floor. These were really convenient for me since my room was across the hall from these stairs. The room was very clean and clearly recently renovated. It had the typical hotel amenities and The floor has a shared microwave if you need to heat up any food. I would say that the hallway floors were a little uneven and creaked a little as you walked down them. Seems like they were wooden floors that they laid thick carpeting down over. The hotel was very secure being in the area of the city that it is. Access to the lobby requires a room key and the garage remains closed.

The sheets in my bed where not clean. Calle the front desk to complain and they only delivered a clean sheet and pillow case for me to change them my self. If a pillow case and one sheet were stained/dirty it only means all the sheets were not freshly washed but only one sheet and pillow case handed to be replaced. Advertisement said a continental breakfast was included, the actual breakfast offered was very poor not even closed to a continental breakfast. I payed $30 per day for parking lot, I had to leave my car key with the attendant because the space is very limited and cars had to be moved to be able for other cars to get out of the parking lot. I didn’t like the fact of them driving my car and holding to my car key over night.

Room was small. Got what I paid for. I chose this space for the parking and the lot was “full” when I arrived. I was told the 6th and Folsom paid parking lot was available but it was blocked due to construction zone. Found this out late and SF street parking is nightmare around there. Parked in yellow until 7am. Better communication and alternate parking options would’ve been appreciated

Nice stay with my wife and my son's family. Bunk bed option was great for the grandkids. Parking was available and reasonable, although tight manuevering at times. Breakfast was adequate. Elevator was not working, so we had to use stairs to the third floor.

First off the elevator is still not working as of mid October 2025 so expect to walk up their very narrow steep steps up to your floor. The hot water took 10+ mins to become warm every time i tried to take a shower… they don’t let food delivery go up so you have to walk up and down said raggedy steps every time you get food delivered if you do so… air conditioning unit isn’t very efficient but gets the job done. Area is rough but that’s out of their control.

Hotel was under renovation during our stay, so things were not perfect, but we’re completely acceptable. Paid parking was interesting as it was gated for security, which was nice, however, it they constantly moving cars around to fit everyone in, and cars had to be moved to get the back one out. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Do not go here. Room had a weird smell ( like cat urine), bathroom was dirty, the mini fridge light flickered off and on constantly. The rug had yellow and red stains and when we reported the condition to the management, our concerns were dismissed and not addressed at all.

I looked at the pictures and recent reviews and thought this ok place, was booking it last minute. I forgot it is so close to 6th and 7th street, which are not the cleanest in SOMA But i was met with non operational elevator, barely warm hot water in the shower, dirty walls and armchairs and absolute filthy state of the carpet.

Service was very friendly and easy to check in/out and get parking— the downfall of the stay was the cleanliness, our rooms shower was dirty, the toilet barely flushed, there was hair of previous guests on the bathroom floor, the hallways had open closets and janitorial stuff out. Besides that, the pillows were absolutely the worst pillows I’ve ever used and rooms are not noise canceling at all, you can hear everything on the street and the conversation of the people across from you in the hall.

Great place to stay for those weekend trips to the City. Central location, across the street from Sight Glass coffee, close to Folsom Street and the Mission isn't far either. Rooms were clean, comfy and updated. Can't say anything really negative about this cool little SOMA hotel. Definitely will book again.

Loved staying here. The front desk guy was very nice and helped with everything! Parking so convenient and easy! Location was great too, it felt safe and wasn’t ghetto at all. Room was perfect for my husband and I and my best friend! Will be staying here from now on.

great value for price. comfortable rooms with lots of amenities. fantastic coffee shop across the street. on site parking with an extra fee if you get there early enough to claim a spot. complaints: they are rebuilding their elevator and the stairs to the third floor are not fun, it took forever to get the hot water going, the shower head was really low - barely the right height for me and I'm 5'3"! would definitely return again in the future though!

The staff here were very kind and helpful, so the review is definitely not an issue of service. The elevator was out and apparently has been for a long time. The room was somewhat dirty (no bedbugs though!) and minimally appointed. But mainly my issue is that this was the noisiest room I've ever stayed in. You can hear every footstep and breath from outside the room, which made it very hard to sleep!

Great Customer Service. Room was freshly cleaned upon arrival. The secured parking was a major plus as vehicle thefts are high in SF. Stairs are a little narrow but they're currently working on their elevator so it wasn't really too much of an inconvenience.

They were great, easy parking, cheaper than other places around. I forgot a coat there, I called them back and they put it aside and had it available a week later. Next time I need a hotel in that area I will be staying there.

What or any issues that may be experienced are will/would be promptly resolved to the guest's complete satisfaction, e.g., the people in the room above my room were "heavy walkers" and staff was very gracious in resolving the issue. In addition the staff are extremely helpful, courteous and friendly!

Room was small. Got what I paid for. I chose this space for the parking and the lot was “full” when I arrived. I was told the 6th and Folsom paid parking lot was available but it was blocked due to construction zone. Found this out late and SF street parking is nightmare around there. Parked in yellow until 7am. Better communication and alternate parking options would’ve been appreciated

I recently stayed at the Signature SF and had a very pleasant stay. It's not a fancy hotel, but for the price point, I got my money's worth. My room was clean, quiet with decent room amenities. The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive when I needed something. I was coming in from out of town so wasn't too familiar with the location. But the hotel was within walking distance of a lot of the places I wanted to check out, or easily get a Lyft or Uber. I was able to park my car right across the street from the hotel with no problem. I would definitely stay at the Signature Hotel SF again.

Great place to stay for those weekend trips to the City. Central location, across the street from Sight Glass coffee, close to Folsom Street and the Mission isn't far either. Rooms were clean, comfy and updated. Can't say anything really negative about this cool little SOMA hotel. Definitely will book again.

I know parking in SF is both inconvenient and unsafe: that being said, there was a GATED parking garage with security, which was a big plus for me. Staff was nice, rooms were VERY small and snug, but super clean. The biggest con was the area. It's like straight-up "The Walking Dead" outside, full of homeless and druggies 24 hours. I especially did not feel safe crossing into the subway. Even though the hotel was fine, I will def not be going back to the outdoor safety.

Great place to stay. Felt both safe and clean. Free coffee and beverages were provided in the lobby as well as a small complimentary breakfast in the mornings. Right across the street from a coffee shop and down the street from a Vietnamese owned donut shop/cafe. About a ten minute walk to the train, other eateries, and plenty of bus stops around! Staff/service was excellent. Only “downside” (wasn’t really a downside to me personally) I would note is that walls are pretty thin so if you’re visiting on a busy weekend then you will likely be able to hear people at night/in the morning. I would definitely stay here again!

Good room for the price. This was one of the only hotels that accommodated our family of 6 in one room, and a very reasonable price! Room was clean, hotel staff was kind, helpful and very responsive when we needed help. The breakfast was very basic: coffee/hot chocolate machine, two types of cereal, yogurt cups, and toast. We walked about 10 min (3 long blocks) to 7th & Market St station to hop on public transportation. This is not a good area of town to be in, especially at night, but the hotel has lots of security cameras and keeps the front door locked at all times. Secure parking was $30/night. It didn't bother us much that there was no elevator, as it is "under repair," (which seems to be the case for the past few years,) but it was an inconvenience when bringing our luggage up/down the stairs. Overall 3.5 stars: clean, great staff, easy access to public transportation and different neighborhoods.

This was a very pleasant small Hotel. The management was friendly and helpful; the room was clean and comfortable. Nicely updated with all that we needed. I would stay here again The neighborhood was mixed...good and bad things around the hotel. It was close to where we needed to go.

Cheap and casual, clean, felt safe. Car garage locks at night. Front door locks at night. Area has some homeless but I felt comfortable walking around. Just look like you know where you're going.

Excellent stay for our party of 6. Elevator broken and area a couple of blocks away is not great but we felt safe. We only walked during day and used uber mostly. Walked to oracle park. Other destinations close so we could see a lot in our 5 days in SF.

Had to Pay $30 extra to be able to Park inside their parking lot. And you had to leave them your car keys so they can move the car for someone else to leave or move there car. Breakfast sucked. But the rooms were just ok. Could've been better for the price i payed for that room…

I was very disappointed. The room was small but ok. The shower looked good but there was no water pressure, it barely worked. My daughter did not take a shower because she got thick hair and she would never be able to get all the shampoo out of her hair. It came with a continental breakfast, but the coffee and juice machines were not working. There was nothing else to drink. The choice of food was pretty lame. the rooms are not very insulated because when people were in the hallway it sounded like they were in your room. There was no carpet in the hallway so that made it very noisy. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will never be back.

The staff were welcoming, competent and accommodating, and the property was exceptionally clean. The location is excellent, with many attractions, restaurants and shops within walking distance. We had a 2-room family suite. It was a lot smaller than it appeared in pictures, and an awkward layout. But the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. There is VERY limited parking, and we ended up having to walk 2 blocks to a parking garage. The part of town it is in can be rough at times, we made extra effort to be back in the room before dark.

Good and safe location 30 min walk to Union Square and Oracle Park. Parking a major perk for $30.00 a night in congested SF. Must arrive early to secure parking especially on weekends. Rooms are small but have everything you need for a stay in the city

We came for Dore Alley and this hotel was in a perfect location for the price. The room was nice, big shower, awesome AC, small fridge. If you need parking make sure to tell them so they can reserve a spot for you otherwise if you show up to check in they may not have a parking space for you. We had to use one of the nearby parking lots for the first night. Parking is $30 a day at the hotel. I’d stay here again.
