Stayed 3 nights

Room was unbearably hot on the first day. Someone left the thermometer on 30C... It took the whole night & following day to cool down as it was a top floor (3rd Fl) apartment and being under the eaves the heat was trapped. The only ventilation was a velux window in the sitting room. There was no way to ventilate the bedroom, which was steaming hot. All the windows in the bedroom were locked by the hotel. The coffee machine was broken. Expedia website says: "Exceptional service & staff The top-rated staff and service will ensure you feel welcome and pampered." But the property is unstaffed as per small print. We had stayed here (and at other Yays) before, when it was still had a front desk. During a major power cut Numa took hours to reply to guests who had asked for advice. On collecting suitcases from a locker inside the building, my access code no longer worked and I had to wait for online help. Yays said the code did work but it did not and I resorted to take photos showing I was still outside. It all took a bit too long and was stressful. Luckily another guest heard me knocking and let me in. Then had to run to catch my train. Building is clean. Has a lift and very steep stairs. Furniture is fine, bed was fine. Location is great. Personally I prefer a place with front desk staff etc but if you don't require that it is fine.

The television in the room was old and there was only signal for one channel. The shower was spurting water out from the side of the head. There was no luggage locker available, there are significantly fewer lockers than rooms available. No staff on site at any time to assist so had to pay to store luggage elsewhere. Support unhelpful in resolving the issue.

Nice stay, this is more a hotel than a condo. Nice location, easy access from Central Station, close to the tram or walking distance to Jordaan. Only suggestion for improvement would be to stock the kitchen a bit more with equipment. One pot and one pan don’t go far, and the dishes were a bit short so we ended up running the dishwasher a lot.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom canal view space. Very comfortable and good space to spread out after a long day of exploring the city. There's no a/c, which we knew prior to our stay. Thankfully there was a fan provided which made a world of difference in the comfort level. Be sure to use it in the summer! The kitchen could have used a few more supplies such as mixing bowls, measuring spoons/cups, and a spatula but we were able to manage with what was provided. The tram was a short walk away and we were able to get to the museum district in 12 minutes! Otherwise it was a 15 min walk to the main train station. Do not neglect the wonderful park a short walk past the tram stop. We almost missed it and enjoyed it our last day. Sadly we discovered the cute shopping area in Haarlemmerplein after stores were closed and weren't there on the day of the market. Perhaps a summary of local amenities should be added to the checkin email "my trips" to facilitate food shopping and local information/resources for the guests. Overall satified with the stay and would recommend.
