Wow what a gem this place. We've had stayed in this hotel last year and so happy to be back this year. We were travelling all Amalfi cost and stayed few hotels this one the best. We'd arrive before room was ready park on free hotel car park left suitcases and walk down 400 steps to the beach had lovely lunch and swim there. Come back to hotel our suitcases already in upgraded room with absolutely beautiful view and our terrace. Everything spotless in hotel , brakefast- so much choices even healthy what i love it and restorant with beautiful views, we had evening meal in the restorant its so fancy and delicious, great choice of wines as well- i would give 5 stars for restorant. On rooftop bar and pool and perfect sunset and you can see Capri from there . The pool we didn't use it this year but last year after full busy mad day in Positano was so lovely to cool down in the pool , few drinks at the bar and sunset on rooftop. Praiano is only 15 min drive to Positano or Amalfi or water taxi to Positano and its not as mad busy and crowded its nice and quiet so relaxing place , few shops , and places to eat and nice walk . Its perfect place. This hotel the best hotel weve stayed in Amalfi coast i wish we'd stayed longer here . Thank you so much to all staff and the owner xxx

My only comment is that the pool had noisy and loud American tourists that took over, blasting their own loud music and screaming and swimming all over the pool and other customers felt like we were crashing their private party

The hotel had an spectacular view that one could appreciate in the restaurants and at the pool. The pool had a nice size even for laps. Also, it is not crowded at all. Parking from the hotel is a major plus. Food was really good too. If you want to sleep late that can be an issue, there is a church nearby with bells reporting each hour and we acho half hour in the morning. I had earplugs that helped, but did not completely suppress the noise

The best decision was staying in Praiano! Just 20 minutes by Vespa from Positano (which was super crowded) and only 5 minutes from Fiordo di Furore (highly recommend). The hotel has it all; beautiful views, buffet breakfast included, a private beach, rooftop pool and restaurant, plus a gym and sauna. Next time, I’d love to stay longer here to truly enjoy everything.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Tramonto. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. If you're looking for a quiet place in the coast this is a great option but there really isn't much around so just be prepared for that. Our room was really nice and the view at the hotel is also really nice. The one thing was the pool wasn't as nice as the photos depict but at least there was something to cool off in.

This lovely hotel in Praiano is relatively close to Positano. We actually appreciated the location vs. Positano which is just insane during peak season. Tramonto is a beautiful property, perched on the cliff going down to the sea, with a rooftop pool and just amazing views. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful, we really appreciated all of their advice in navigating the area, which can be challenging. They have on-site parking which is key if you plan to drive. It is certainly not cheap but that is understandable given we went during peak season and booked relatively late. I assume if you can book earlier you are likely to get a better rate. Really great breakfast too, and did I mention the views are amazing!

Es war alles perfekt. Nur die Drinks in der poolbar waren den Preis nicht wert. Belini war mit Pfirsich Saft, Menge zu wenig. Campari ähnlich, zu wenig und zu teuer.

Stayed for three nights (mid May), turned out to be a very wet month here in Amalfi coast but the staff here were like sunshine. Made us feel right at home. Excellent rooms, clean and great view of positano (which is probably the best way to see Positano from far :) ). Did not get to use the swimming cause of the rains. Excellent breakfast and room service. We booked last minute and thought we got a great deal.

We had a wonderful stay because this family hotel cares! Everything worked from the delicious breakfasts to the wonderful very well appointed and very clean rooms because of the staff attitudes and kindnesses. The owner makes it plain that it is a question of heart as well as service. We would return in an instant! I hope other travellers feel this way and have a memorable stay too!

We recently stayed at the Tramonto D’Oro Hotel, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The hotel is perched right by the ocean, offering breathtaking views that we will never forget. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the sea, and it was sparkling clean and very charming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we loved the arrangement by the sea, especially with fresh orange juice that made our mornings extra special. We also dined at the restaurant, where the food was fantastic, and the sea view created the perfect setting. Giuseppe, our waiter, was very professional and attentive, making sure we had an amazing dining experience. The rest of the staff were equally helpful and experienced, and we felt well taken care of during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect getaway!

The room was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and views from the hotel were incredible. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as a few bus stops connecting to Positano/Amalfi. Highly recommend!

This hotel is located in Praiano, which gives a beautiful view of Positano without the business. The hotel was lovely, clean, fresh, well maintained. We originally got a room with just a window, but upon arriving and seeing it (it was almost a skylight, so far it was by the ceiling). We then asked to be transferred to a balcony room. Lucky us they had it available for an extra $60 per night. Balcony was a game changer. This is a family owned hotel and the owner lives there as well- lovely people.

Very well managed hotel. Staff extremely helpful, each time we had any kind of request (transportation, reservations, etc) they would carefully take notes in a small notebook and do everything in their power to arrange everything. The room was super clean, great sea view. Food was also delicious, great (free) breakfast. Definitely recommend.

Tramonto D’Oro is truly a special hotel. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and we splurged and got the largest suite with a beautiful balcony, and the views were worth every penny. We recently stayed at the Tramonto D’Oro Hotel, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The hotel is perched right by the ocean, offering breathtaking views that we will never forget. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the sea, and it was sparkling clean and very charming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we loved the arrangement by the sea, especially with fresh orange juice that made our mornings extra special. We also dined at the restaurant, where the food was fantastic, and the sea view created the perfect setting. Giuseppe, our waiter, was very professional and attentive, making sure we had an amazing dining experience. The rest of the staff were equally helpful and experienced, and we felt well taken care of during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect getaway!

Praiano is not for everyone, as you need to walk on the road with cars buzzing by to walk anywhere. The restaurant is beautiful and the views are fabulous, but we had some mechanical noise from the air conditioner fan (it wasn't loud but it was annoying enough that we couldn't sleep). They said they had fixed it but they didn't fix it, so we complained and they finally moved us to another room. It was a bit like pulling teeth to get them to do that and they weren't nice about it. They did waive the cost of our lunch and dinner, which was a nice gesture, but I still fault them for not properly addressing the noise in the first instance. Overall, the property is dated in certain areas, but if you want to stay in Praiano and you can make sure that you have a quiet, nice room, the views and the restaurant are quite nice.

The room was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and views from the hotel were incredible. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as a few bus stops connecting to Positano/Amalfi. Highly recommend!

This hotel is located in Praiano, which gives a beautiful view of Positano without the business. The hotel was lovely, clean, fresh, well maintained. We originally got a room with just a window, but upon arriving and seeing it (it was almost a skylight, so far it was by the ceiling). We then asked to be transferred to a balcony room. Lucky us they had it available for an extra $60 per night. Balcony was a game changer. This is a family owned hotel and the owner lives there as well- lovely people.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Tramonto. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. If you're looking for a quiet place in the coast this is a great option but there really isn't much around so just be prepared for that. Our room was really nice and the view at the hotel is also really nice. The one thing was the pool wasn't as nice as the photos depict but at least there was something to cool off in.

This hotel is top notch. It didn't disappoint. They have thought of everything, down to earplugs,eye patches, robes, slippers etc. Good facilities, great friendly staff and great food. Excellent selection at breakfast,that caters for everyone. Staff, polite, professional and friendly. Attentive to anything asked of them. Definitely one of nicest places Ive stayed. Fantastic views from balcony. Would love to stay again. My only 3 small niggles would be, better hairdryer as doesnt blow fast or very warm. Took forever, so had to leave to dry which took hours. Maybe provide milk for tea and coffee in the little pots in the fridge. Provide info on how to use heating/ aircon as we had a bright light going on and off every night.

One of the best stays we’ve ever had. A stunning hotel with views to die for. The staff was accommodating from before we even checked in, until the moment we left. Speaking with the owner, Carmella, was always a joy and staff had our breakfast coffee orders memorized in just a few days. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay because this family hotel cares! Everything worked from the delicious breakfasts to the wonderful very well appointed and very clean rooms because of the staff attitudes and kindnesses. The owner makes it plain that it is a question of heart as well as service. We would return in an instant! I hope other travellers feel this way and have a memorable stay too!

The team was absolutely wonderful there! We were warmly welcomed, pre check-in communication was smooth and efficient, and they were kind enough to surprise us with an upgrade on arrival. I’d wholeheartedly recommend choosing this hotel for a trip to the Amalfi Coast.

I booked this hotel to celebrate my girlfriend’s 30th and I can honestly say the hotel staff could not of done more to make the trip any better. From the complementary upgrade of our room, to a boutique of flowers and drinks upon arrival.

My wife and I stayed at the Tramonto D'Oro for five nights and loved it. The hotel staff is incredible and we found out that ownership now spans four generations. They make you feel like family and their pride in ownership really shows in every detail of the operation. The views are amazing and the restaurant is first-class. If your travels take you to the Amalfi Coast, you will enjoy the Tramonto D'Oro!

Walking distance to beach and One Fire Beach Club, amazing restaurants everywhere, and a quick 10 minute water taxi ride (or 15-20 minute bus ride) to beautiful Positano. More affordable than staying most places in Positano and definitely less crowded, but so easy to get there when we wanted to, which we loved! We’ve been back for a couple weeks and we’re already talking about how we miss it and want to go back!!! Cannot recommend this place enough!

This is a really special hotel. Family owned for three generations. The rooms are gorgeous - each one appointed with artistic touches. The daily breakfast (built into the room rate) is divine. It is nearby lots of local restaurants and cocktail bars and cooking schools. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again. Also - tea and coffee facilities in the room!!!

Beautiful morning view of Positano for breakfast. In between Almalfi and Positanto. The hotel had a few walking options for dinner or drinks. Not much in that area for shopping. The hotel was clean, staff was helpful and it had an amazing view. I would not recommend walking down 400 steps to the “beach” it’s a concrete slab and getting back was a pain! Take the city bus down 8min to a local beach. Great stay I would go back!

Wow what a gem this place. We've had stayed in this hotel last year and so happy to be back this year. We were travelling all Amalfi cost and stayed few hotels this one the best. We'd arrive before room was ready park on free hotel car park left suitcases and walk down 400 steps to the beach had lovely lunch and swim there. Come back to hotel our suitcases already in upgraded room with absolutely beautiful view and our terrace. Everything spotless in hotel , brakefast- so much choices even healthy what i love it and restorant with beautiful views, we had evening meal in the restorant its so fancy and delicious, great choice of wines as well- i would give 5 stars for restorant. On rooftop bar and pool and perfect sunset and you can see Capri from there . The pool we didn't use it this year but last year after full busy mad day in Positano was so lovely to cool down in the pool , few drinks at the bar and sunset on rooftop. Praiano is only 15 min drive to Positano or Amalfi or water taxi to Positano and its not as mad busy and crowded its nice and quiet so relaxing place , few shops , and places to eat and nice walk . Its perfect place. This hotel the best hotel weve stayed in Amalfi coast i wish we'd stayed longer here . Thank you so much to all staff and the owner xxx

We loved our stay here. It was the best location with access (a few steps) to the best beach in the area, La Gavitella. Also a 5 minute walk to cafe mirante for sunset drinks, and right by all the bus stops so you can easily access other areas of town or other towns such as Positano. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. Overall great visit and highly recommend this hotel if staying in Praiano!

Hotel Tramonto D’Oro was absolutely amazing. The views were spectacular. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was welcoming and warm. Breakfast was delicious every morning and dinner was also very good. Just a few minutes down the road from Positano and half the price and not nearly as crowded. I loved that it was more secluded and quiet. It is right next door to a church so be prepared for the bells to be ringing all the time. I’m a deep sleeper so they did not bother me but they could bother some of you are a light sleeper. I personally loved them.

The hotel had an spectacular view that one could appreciate in the restaurants and at the pool. The pool had a nice size even for laps. Also, it is not crowded at all. Parking from the hotel is a major plus. Food was really good too. Property is sooooo lovely! Breakfast divine. Great location as well. Short walk to get to the marina to catch a boat if interested. Also the Amalfi Mobility and Sita buses stop right near the hotel. And very close to a segment of the Path of the Gods. Please note however that in order to join the more known part of the path between bomerano and positano, we had to hike 1500 feet UP. Don't hesitate to book this stay!

This lovely hotel in Praiano is relatively close to Positano. We actually appreciated the location vs. Positano which is just insane during peak season. Tramonto is a beautiful property, perched on the cliff going down to the sea, with a rooftop pool and just amazing views. This lovely hotel in Praiano is relatively close to Positano. We actually appreciated the location vs. Positano which is just insane during peak season. Tramonto is a beautiful property, perched on the cliff going down to the sea, with a rooftop pool and just amazing views. We had a wonderful stay because this family hotel cares! Everything worked from the delicious breakfasts to the wonderful very well appointed and very clean rooms because of the staff attitudes and kindnesses. The owner makes it plain that it is a question of heart as well as service. We would return in an instant! I hope other travellers feel this way and have a memorable stay too!

Wow what a gem this place. We've had stayed in this hotel last year and so happy to be back this year. We were travelling all Amalfi cost and stayed few hotels this one the best. We'd arrive before room was ready park on free hotel car park left suitcases and walk down 400 steps to the beach had lovely lunch and swim there. Come back to hotel our suitcases already in upgraded room with absolutely beautiful view and our terrace. Everything spotless in hotel , brakefast- so much choices even healthy what i love it and restorant with beautiful views, we had evening meal in the restorant its so fancy and delicious, great choice of wines as well- i would give 5 stars for restorant. On rooftop bar and pool and perfect sunset and you can see Capri from there . The pool we didn't use it this year but last year after full busy mad day in Positano was so lovely to cool down in the pool , few drinks at the bar and sunset on rooftop. Praiano is only 15 min drive to Positano or Amalfi or water taxi to Positano and its not as mad busy and crowded its nice and quiet so relaxing place , few shops , and places to eat and nice walk . Its perfect place. This hotel the best hotel weve stayed in Amalfi coast i wish we'd stayed longer here . Thank you so much to all staff and the owner xxx

Very well managed hotel. Staff extremely helpful, each time we had any kind of request (transportation, reservations, etc) they would carefully take notes in a small notebook and do everything in their power to arrange everything. The room was super clean, great sea view. Food was also delicious, great (free) breakfast. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is beautiful. I was very impressed. The views from the pool and restaurant are incredible. The included breakfast was outstanding. The staff were very helpful and kind. I will definitely be staying here again.

Es war alles perfekt. Nur die Drinks in der poolbar waren den Preis nicht wert. Belini war mit Pfirsich Saft, Menge zu wenig. Campari ähnlich, zu wenig und zu teuer.

Tramonto D’Oro is truly a special hotel. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and we splurged and got the largest suite with a beautiful balcony, and the views were worth every penny. Between the fabulous and clean room and impeccable service (with incredibly kind and happy staff), this place has a wonderful breakfast and lovely restaurant that services a nice dinner (which was a little pricy). In addition, there’s two different bus stations that can take you right into Positano, however, they can be a bit tough to navigate and the taxis are very expensive.

Excellent location for visiting the wider Amalfi coast. The hotel is actually in San Gennaro near Praiano. San Gennaro was a lovely village/town with excellent restaurants and bus service. The hotel has wonderful views of the Amalfi coast to Positano and as far as Capri in the distance. We highly recommend booking a table for dinner on the hotel balcony, both for the view as well as the quality of the food. The rooftop pool area was a delight following a day visiting/touring the coastal towns. I cannot compliment the hotel staff highly enough for the level of service and their cheerful attitude, which is a credit to the hotel owners who themselves were equally helpful. We booked a room without a balcony which was clean (always a priority) and perfectly functional - the rooftop area more than compensated for the lack of view from the room

Alem disso é bem localizado, sendo perfeito para visitar os outros locais da costa amalfitana. Sem.duvida, foi nossa melhor escolha, principalmente por termos crianças pequenas. Sem duvida nenhuma, se voltarmos a costa amalfitana, ficaremos aqui de novo.

The property and its location are breathtaking. The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful in arranging anything you needed. The owner was present each day and ensured our stay was going well. They even picked up that it was my son's birthday and had a small Celebration for him at breakfast.

Amazing hotel, beautiful views and such wonderful staff. Praiano is quieter than Positano which we loved! But it’s so easy to get the buses to different party’s of the Amalfi Coast. There are lovely restaurants near by and the breakfast was delicious, perfect for us. Thank you so much for our fantastic stay with you!
