Great property and amazing staff. Unable to control the tempreture in room, so it can get warm or cold in the room. Also, no mini fridge in room abd limited water in room. Bring drinks if you are thirsty.

What a great summer stay in Wengen! Balcony room is definitely worth the money! Restaurant was wonderful and the staff were helpful and talkative. Also have a baggage cart to go up to the train when leaving. Loved our stay at Hotel Bären.

Large room, balcony overlooking mountains and valley. Easy walk from train station. Shuttle available to take luggage uphill to train station. Great service if raining. Umbrella provided in room and more available at the front entrance. Hotel restaurant had excellent breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed a meal for dinner. Recommend reservations. Staff were very friendly. Can't say enough about the beautiful views! Down side, had to keep BR door closed during shower; apparently steam sets off the smoke alarm. Occasionally could hear noise from room above us. They provided ear plugs, but we didn't need them.

The hotel had excellent food, staff service and amazing view rooms. My only complain would be the fact that the rooms need to probably have a humidifier during colder months (like now it is autumn and the temperature at night is below 5 celcius. I found the room very dry causing poorer sleep at night. You also cannot humidify it while showering with the door open as the steam causes the fire alarm to set off.
The hotel had excellent food, staff service and amazing view rooms. I highly recommend this hotel. This property is Unique, Oriented to Details, All the amenities in the Room are Wonderful, and the View from the window is Perfect, The room is confortable, and I felt I was in a Christmas Post Card. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating to all of our requests. I would love to come back in the future.

Older hotel but well maintained. The view is beautiful from the balcony. It is a hike up to the train station but they will deliver your luggage. Wonderful place and people.

Excellent value for money. The rooms were recently updated and modern. We made a mistake in booking a double room instead of a triple, and the owner went our of her way to get a spare bed for our daughter. They have an excellent restaurant too. It was summer but the room had an electric fan which helped a lot. A/C was not needed at all, at night the temperature was cold. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the future.

Of all the places we stayed in Switzerland, this was our absolute favorite! Starting with the staff, each person was extremely helpful and nice. Then, there's the view. Pay for the balcony, it is worth it! We heard dinner at this restaurant is the best in town, but regrettably, we did not try it. Only downsides - material of the sheets isnt comfy - like jersey sheets that pill. Pillows are uncomfy. Water pressure on top floor is weak, not sure about other floors. Makes washing hair a challenge. But, staff and view make up for these!

My room had a nice balcony and an excellent view of the mountains from the second floor. The breakfast here is also nice with a lot of options. The staff at the reception and restaurant (Melissa) were super nice. They were happy to offer tips about where to go and what to see. The owner/caretaker even offered a ride to the railway station since we had luggage and it was raining. Awesome people. Highly recommended.

Our balcony looks out over the alps.We slept with the balcony door open and woke up every morning to the view of the alps! The breakfast is delicious. They source a lot of their ingredients locally. We also ate dinner here and the food is high quality. The rooms are very clean and the sheets smell so fresh. The mattress is comfortable. It’s a short walk down from the train station.

A wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and had an amazing view. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We had dinner at the restaurant the first night and it was top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and although we didn’t have dinner there, the food smelled great and the restaurant was busy at night. We checked out earlier than usual and they even packed us a small meal since we were leaving before breakfast was served. The room was small but had all that we needed and was very clean.

We really enjoyed our stay! We booked a family room and it was a perfect set up with two twins beds in two separate rooms. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The best part of our stay was dinner at the hotel; it was truly a first class experience...the food presentation is impressive, and the meal itself was incredible. I enjoyed the curry vegetables with jasmine rice and it was delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Any hotel you walk in the person at the reception is the one who can make or break the joy of the stay ..and Daria was fabulous. Very sweet person . So were the rest of the staff Breakfast was good and hospitality great . I was regretting not having planned to stay here more than 2 nights that we did .

Very friendly family run hotel. Great food, hospitality, and service. Also located in a beautiful part of Wengen. The staff are very friendly and are great hosts, and give plenty of advice for places in the area.

Hôtel est très bien situé près de la gare. On a eu un super accueil. Tout a était parfait, chambre propre et avec tout le nécessaire que l’on recherche, propre, confortable… mais ce qui a vraiment fait la différence, c’est le personnel en général et un gros plus pour Nicole Brunner: accueillant, attentionné et d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Merci pour ce moment ! Et encore merci pour la petite surprise Un hôtel coup de coeur

My room had a nice balcony and an excellent view of the mountains from the second floor. The breakfast here is also nice with a lot of options. The staff at the reception and restaurant (Melissa) were super nice. They were happy to offer tips about where to go and what to see. The owner/caretaker even offered a ride to the railway station since we had luggage and it was raining. Awesome people. Highly recommended.

Our balcony looks out over the alps.We slept with the balcony door open and woke up every morning to the view of the alps! The breakfast is delicious. They source a lot of their ingredients locally. We also ate dinner here and the food is high quality. The rooms are very clean and the sheets smell so fresh. The mattress is comfortable. It’s a short walk down from the train station.

This hotel is located in Wengen, which is car-free village, but easily accessible with a train from Lauterbrunnen. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. We booked a room overlooking the mountains and the views were spectacular. The hotel also has a great restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended this hotel and location.

Older hotel but well maintained. The view is beautiful from the balcony. It is a hike up to the train station but they will deliver your luggage. Wonderful place and people.

We really enjoy our stay here and it is the highlight of our trip. Location is great, 3-5 min walk from wengen station. The view outside our balcony is breathtaking. Breakfast is included and everything is freshly made with good variety.

Independently owned property that was truly refreshing to see. It’s a third generation run business and they do such a great job. The place is convenient, clean, and cozy. The restaurant is one of the most sought after in the city so we strongly recommend making reservations as soon as possible. We will definitely be back!!!

What a great summer stay in Wengen! Balcony room is definitely worth the money! Restaurant was wonderful and the staff were helpful and talkative. Also have a baggage cart to go up to the train when leaving. Loved our stay at Hotel Bären.

A wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and had an amazing view. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We had dinner at the restaurant the first night and it was top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay! We booked a family room and it was a perfect set up with two twins beds in two separate rooms. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The best part of our stay was dinner at the hotel; it was truly a first class experience...the food presentation is impressive, and the meal itself was incredible. I enjoyed the curry vegetables with jasmine rice and it was delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and although we didn’t have dinner there, the food smelled great and the restaurant was busy at night. We checked out earlier than usual and they even packed us a small meal since we were leaving before breakfast was served. The room was small but had all that we needed and was very clean.

Rooms were clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast sufficient, and bathroom renovated with towel warmers too. One outlet needed servicing, but it takes a guest to inform staff of such issues. Our loft room could use new blinds but with new hotel expansion in progress, I suspect it will retire soon for other purposes.

Beautiful place to stay. Our room was exactly as advertised with an amazing view of the mountains. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They assist with getting your bags too and from the train so make sure to utilise that as it’s quite a steep decent and climb to the property. Restaurant was also lovely and the food was tasty! Breakfast is worth adding. Thank you to all the staff, you made it a very memorable stay.
