The staff could not do enough for us, they were friendly and very helpful. Our room was very nice and very clean plenty of towels, coffee etc options in the room (loads in fact!) . Two good sized car parks so no worries on that front. The building is a proper pub which is lovely when so many or closing down or being modernised. Overall if anyone is looking for a traditional friendly B&B in a pub I would totally recommend The Farmers Arms

We have visited the Farmers Arms for drinks over the past 3 years whilst owning a caravan in the site next door. Always had a great pint so when we needed an overnight stay, whilst selling our van, we didn’t hesitate in booking a room - if they take that much pride in keeping their lines that clean then the rooms are going to be tip top. We wasn’t disappointed; lovely comfortable room with excellent hostess tray supplies, biscuits, tea and even Costs Coffee pods for the coffee machine. Extremely clean and nice to have piping hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast is served until 9.30 and was again superb. A full English beat us but that is probably because we were still full up from our evening meal the night before, you really cannot fault the size of meals that are served up. A really nice stay and we wouldn’t hesitate in booking again. The staff were really welcoming and extremely helpful.

When we arrived there was a band playing was very loud for a small area. They sounded terrible due to the low ceiling. Was very loud in the room as above the bar. Internet for the tv was rubbish couldn't use Netflix as kept buffing. But the accommodation was lovely well presented coffee machine kettle and plenty of choice beverages. Shower over bath including shower gels. Plenty of towels. Friendly staff. After the music finished enjoyed our evening stay. Will highly recommend 👌

Room and bathroom had everything we needed for one night’s stay. Convenient with good parking. Big pub and restaurant and breakfast included in stay is always a plus. Got to watch the Euro 2024 semi-final in the pub with locals.

The bathroom was fine. The bedroom was a good size but in need of some sprucing up. The bed was sunken in the middle. We had breakfast 2 days out of our 4 day stay. The first day the breakfast was fine but the second day the breakfast took ages to be served , was barely lukewarm and the rasher of bacon was just a bit!!! Hence we didn’t have breakfasts for the last 2 days. Would we stay there again, No.

The pub is run by a lovely family, don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcomed. Room was clean and comfortable with every thing we needed, plenty of towels, great over bath shower, tea and coffee etc. We had a great meal standout dish was home made cow &ale pie and the wonderful home made proper puddings. Good choice at breakfast of cooked to order dishes. Great place to stay and we will stay again if we revisit area.

We had a great 3 day stay at the Farmers Arms. The staff were very friendly and provided us with a fantastic breakfast everyday. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, there were tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished every day. St Merryn is a beautiful village with Harlyn and Constantine being some of the best beaches in the country in my opinion. We will definitely be heading back soon.

We have a problem, checking in didn’t seem to be any record of us which was a shame. The room was very comfortable little crowded Quite noisy at night time in your room as the rooms are above the pub. No Wi-Fi, which meant that you couldn’t watch television as you needed one for the TV

Gorgeous building, super helpful staff but room street view was noisy and too hot to close windows. Apart from the noise 10pm-midnight was lovely and would still recommend as long as you not early sleepers. Amazing breakfast ! Yum

Horrendous experience from arrival. Check in awful as rude landlord that huffed and puffed about questions asked and was derogatory about Expedia check ins at his property. Wanted to leave from arrival. Saving grace slightly was his wife who was lovely at breakfast time but didn’t make up for awful breakfast served. Sadly not a good experience

Gary and Jacqui - the Landlord and Landlady made us feel genuinely welcome as did their Staff. The Restaurant Menu provided a good choice and is reasonably priced. The Room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We will be returning as Guest again but we felt we left as Friends. We both recommend The Farmers Arms in St Merryn as an ideal base for a Weekend or longer in a proper Village Pub. You will need to book in advance for Food and Accommodation as it is a very popular Pub.

We wasn’t disappointed; lovely comfortable room with excellent hostess tray supplies, biscuits, tea and even Costs Coffee pods for the coffee machine. Extremely clean and nice to have piping hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast is served until 9.30 and was again superb. A full English beat us but that is probably because we were still full up from our evening meal the night before, you really cannot fault the size of meals that are served up. A really nice stay and we wouldn’t hesitate in booking again. The staff were really welcoming and extremely helpful.

The pub is run by a lovely family, don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcomed. Room was clean and comfortable with every thing we needed, plenty of towels, great over bath shower, tea and coffee etc. We had a great meal standout dish was home made cow &ale pie and the wonderful home made proper puddings. Good choice at breakfast of cooked to order dishes. Great place to stay and we will stay again if we revisit area.

Jacquie was so welcoming and friendly, as were all the staff. Beautiful room — loved the cushions a real homely touch. Clean comfortable and a good nights sleep. We enjoyed our evening meal as well as the very substantial breakfast — best veggie sausages I’ve had yet ! Thank you we will return

The staff and management were superb, they were friendly, flexible and understanding and couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was ever too much trouble. I booked 3 rooms and they were all superb and represented great value for the location.

We had a great 3 day stay at the Farmers Arms. The staff were very friendly and provided us with a fantastic breakfast everyday. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, there were tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished every day. St Merryn is a beautiful village with Harlyn and Constantine being some of the best beaches in the country in my opinion. We will definitely be heading back soon.

Room and bathroom had everything we needed for one night’s stay. Convenient with good parking. Big pub and restaurant and breakfast included in stay is always a plus. Got to watch the Euro 2024 semi-final in the pub with locals.

Horrendous experience from arrival. Check in awful as rude landlord that huffed and puffed about questions asked and was derogatory about Expedia check ins at his property. Wanted to leave from arrival. Saving grace slightly was his wife who was lovely at breakfast time but didn’t make up for awful breakfast served. Sadly not a good experience

We had a lovely stay for 4 nights and the cooked breakfast is well worth having and would book again. The carvery on a Sunday and Wednesday is delicious and plentiful.

The bathroom was fine. The bedroom was a good size but in need of some sprucing up. The bed was sunken in the middle. We had breakfast 2 days out of our 4 day stay. The first day the breakfast was fine but the second day the breakfast took ages to be served , was barely lukewarm and the rasher of bacon was just a bit!!! Hence we didn’t have breakfasts for the last 2 days. Would we stay there again, No.

Gorgeous building, super helpful staff but room street view was noisy and too hot to close windows. Apart from the noise 10pm-midnight was lovely and would still recommend as long as you not early sleepers. Amazing breakfast ! Yum

The staff were amazing & we enjoyed our large breakfast & as well as a delicious carvery meal on Weds evening (I believe this runs during the summer in addition to Sundays). The room had everything we needed & was nicely decorated. The reason I've had to put 3 stars is because the room was insanely hot despite the weather cooling outside (it was raining in the morning but the room was pushing 30 degrees) so we struggled to sleep. There was a fan but it didn't do a lot & really there needs to be the option for a portable air con in that temperature to make it bearable.

Very hot, needed fan on all night as room was sweltering hot, and wasn’t even a particularly hot day. Check-in took half an hour as they wanted to serve all the people at the bar first! But overall service was ok and breakfast very good.

Stayed at the Farmers Arms for 2 night, ate first night and food was amazing, the cow pie was perfect, the meal cooked to perfection, Guinness was best I have drunk outside of Ireland, will defineatly stay there again in the future.

BEWARE!! WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Had to sleep in our car. I received two letters of communication from them stating check in was until 11:30 pm. We arrived at 10:45 and it was locked up, dark and no one answered the door or the phone. Hotels.com also tried to get a hold of someone but no answer. NOTHING!! We spent the night in our car with our daughter as no one else had availablity at that hour. Cold, no bathroom facilities — sitting in our car with our daughter all night—-simply the worst. We left multiple voice mails, texts, emails. No one even got back to us to apologize or refund us. I’m still in shock we could be stood up like that after two communications saying check in was until 11:30. Am still stunned. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
