Adorable place- loved the shared kitchen and lounge area with fireplace- felt like being home with family. Bed was comfy - very convenient to cashiers etc. ;) will stay again!!

This was a beautiful property with thoughtful amenities clearly focused on the comfort of guests. The owner made us feel welcome and at home. In the room, I especially appreciated the fact that there were pillows of different heights and densities, a sound machine, easily accessible outlets for devices, and nice quality toiletries. Yes, it's the little things that make all of the difference. I also applaud the guest lounge and kitchen access. I look forward to my next stay!

This is a great choice! Very clean, the staff is amazing, and we had a great time at the fire pit! I would also recommend making a reservation at Osteria del Monte next door and walk to an amazing Italian meal!

Our room was clean and nicely outfitted with a refrigerator and coffee maker. Julie and Holly were so hospitable -- Holly made eggs and bacon for breakfast each morning and Julie brought banana bread. What a personal touch! The grounds were clean and accommodating for our (much traveled) labradoodle. Having bottled water and a stocked coffee station was a plus! The convenience to Highland and Cashiers was a bonus. We would recommend to everyone without hesitation and would stay here again! Also, it looks to be an amazing venue for family retreats with how it is set up with common areas and games.

A lovely property made up of 3-4 buildings each with a few accommodations. We had a 2 bedroom family unit that was very comfortable, clean and perfect for 4. The lodge is very nice and accessible at all times to guest with a fire, games, books and tea/coffe

This place is such a hidden gem! It was so comfortable and they thought of everything! From the 24/7 accessible kitchen, to the details in the check in instructions, to the little ocean sound noise maker by the bed, and so much more! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We stayed overnight on the way home from a few days in Pigeon Forge. The efficiency apartment we had was roomy, clean and recently remodeled. They welcomed our 9yr old Australian Shepherd and we had a nice Trout dinner from Mica's restaurant just up the road.

The Inn is a quaint comfortable hotel. The 2 staff I met were lovely…..welcoming and kind. But the inside and out needed a good cleaning. Floors, windows, porch, blinds, steps….bathroom needed to be cleaned.

Overall, this was a decent place to stay. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast area was nicely decorated. However, I think we got the worst room on the property. Room 302 is downstairs, behind the building, next to the laundry and dumpster. This room is dark and very musty smelling. The beds were not comfortable. That particular room felt like an afterthought and a place to simply book one more guest. We couldn't help but feel we got the worst room on the property. I think other rooms would be a much better experience, though we did not get to see inside any. Breakfast was...okay. The location was nice and right off Hwy 64, so that was helpful. We would go back if we could guarantee never to stay in that room again.

What a cute little place! Breakfast was wonderful, staff could not have been nicer. Free use of washer/dryer to do our laundry once. A big help. The only negative is that the room and the bathroom are very small. We will stay there again but hope to find a larger room next time.

The owners and our wonderful breakfast maker are very helpful, welcoming and friendly. It's a very nice place to stay while enjoying the many hikes in the area (Rainbow Falls, etc.). Comfort was great except that our room and bathroom were a bit crowded for my husband who is larger. The walls are thin if you have neighbors. The facilities are relaxing and nice. We enjoyed a nice (expensive) Italian meal at a fine restaurant next door.

Nice, quaint place in a good location. The street noise can be a bit loud but it wasn't awful. The walls in the room are very thin so you can hear the other people in the adjacent rooms a bit too much.

The owner was super friendly. Breakfast was good…lots of options. The room was small but comfortable. Check in/out was super easy. We did self check in. Our room was close to the road so you could hear the trucks going by at night. I wasn’t sure where to park but everything was right there. It’s like a mini lodge. Cute!

I travel for work 270 days out of a year, and this is hands down one of our absolute favorite places to stay when traveling. The place is such a cozy little getaway, rooms are rustic and spotless. It is super quiet, and I conveniently located right off of Highway 64. Julia is so welcoming, friendly and our most recent stay she cooked us breakfast to order. She keeps the commons area beside the office well stocked with goodies for breakfast! How many other places do you get breakfast cooked FOR YOU? I surely can’t think of one. Thank you for such exceptional customer service. As always, I will look forward to the next time. Highly highly recommend.

This is a great choice! Very clean, the staff is amazing, and we had a great time at the fire pit! I would also recommend making a reservation at Osteria del Monte next door and walk to an amazing Italian meal!

Our room was clean and nicely outfitted with a refrigerator and coffee maker. Julie and Holly were so hospitable -- Holly made eggs and bacon for breakfast each morning and Julie brought banana bread. What a personal touch! The grounds were clean and accommodating for our (much traveled) labradoodle. Having bottled water and a stocked coffee station was a plus! The convenience to Highland and Cashiers was a bonus. We would recommend to everyone without hesitation and would stay here again! Also, it looks to be an amazing venue for family retreats with how it is set up with common areas and games.

The rooms are nice, but small. I stayed there alone for business. The area around the hotel is beautiful! Keep your eye out for bears!!

Nice, quaint place in a good location. The street noise can be a bit loud but it wasn't awful. The walls in the room are very thin so you can hear the other people in the adjacent rooms a bit too much.

The owner was super friendly. Breakfast was good…lots of options. The room was small but comfortable. Check in/out was super easy. We did self check in. Our room was close to the road so you could hear the trucks going by at night. I wasn’t sure where to park but everything was right there. It’s like a mini lodge. Cute!

Julie was so helpful and communicative. She even made us breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We had a very pleasant experience at Brook Trout!

The room was very nice and clean. I liked that we had a frig and microwave. I enjoyed breakfast! The only downside was the noise of the above rooms. We could hear people walking and flushing toilets.

I travel for work and am in this area often. This is by far one of the best places to stay, you won’t beat the price! Julie, the owner is one of the nicest people and I always look forward to staying here. They will cook and serve breakfast and are more than accommodating! The rooms are very clean and rustic for the perfect tucked-in-the-mountains atmosphere. Highly highly recommend!

Our room was very comfortable and check-in was so easy. The property outside is beautiful and there was lots of room for our dogs to roam around. Breakfast was really good, there are a large number of choices and freshly made eggs, made however you like.

Just what a mountain getaway stay should be like. Cozy mountain-look and feel. Clean! Amazing bed, linens and towels. We loved the “lodge” like breakfast setting. Lots of room, cozy atmosphere. Keurig coffee butler, stocked fridge with fresh milk and chilled fruits. You can cook your own eggs on a griddle just the way you like. We met wonderful and interesting people from all over. Lori and Heather (staff) were accommodating and available. The Sapphire Valley is stunning with lots of great hiking, good food and shopping. We say book it and save the “hiltons” for other trips. What a sweet little place to stay! We loved our room and the host was simply wonderful. She even cooked our breakfast each morning, with smiles and conversation! We will definitely plan on staying here again.

Three of us (grandpa, my son, myself) shared the apartment room above the lobby & shared breakfast/lounge area for 3 nights for a fishing trip. Very comfortable, tons of space, staff is absolutely tremendous. We cooked for ourselves more than most guests might, so we appreciated the full size fridge, ample cutlery, etc. A few housekeeping items could have been better: missing bulbs in the kitchen area including the light right over the range, not enough pods for the dishwasher, non-functional ice maker in the fridge, etc. But having after-hours access to the lobby area for ice, coffee, bathroom, etc was great and made up for some of the kitchen issues. I really want to give 4.5 stars, and we will make this top of our list when we return for another guys fishing outing.
