Nice little hotel with breakfast included was ideal for us on our way by car from Cordoba to Porto. We were able to park right at the front door, check in took just a few minutes and the bed was most comfortable.

Ich wählte dann das Hotel Imperio do Rei, das nur wenige Meter von der Kathedrale entfernt liegt. Es handelt sich um ein relativ kleines Hotel mit etwas älterer Einrichtung und etwas dunklen Zimmern, was jedoch die Sauberkeit und die Freundlichkeit des Personals wett machen. Das Badezimmer war sogar hell und neu renoviert. Das Zimmer war sehr ruhig und die WIFI-Verbindug klappte dort hervorragend. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und in der Nebensaison voll portugiesisch, da sich dann kaum ausländische Gäste im Hotel befinden. Allerdings muss man am Vortag absprechen wann man frühstücken will, da der Frühstücksraum sehr klein, aber auch sehr gemütlich ist. Falls etwas zu Ende geht, so kann man kaum so schnell schauen bis die fehlenden Lebensmittel, der Saft oder anderes nachgeliefert werden. Auch Sonderwünsche werden, wenn möglich, gerne erfüllt. Teniendo en cuenta la antigüedad del edificio, los propietarios esmeran en tenerlo limpio y digno. Las habitaciones son confortables el estado de limpieza de las mismas es impecable. Las zonas comunes se ven evidencias que el edificio es antiguo pero, quizás, eso sea algo que le aporte dignidad Para aquel que sepa valorar lo que todo eso implica. El señor mayor que me atendió en el desayuno, se esforzaba por entenderme y fue muy educado. La recepcionista muy cercana y muy agradable.

It was very very comfortable stay. Super clean as well. And smooth check in and out. And top of that, I had a difficulty of walking on the 3rd day. And the staff were very helpful, especially the cleaning lady, Eleina helped me so much and her sweetness gave me a big comfort.

This is a very small hotel with very small rooms - that being said, the staff/management/housekeeping/kitchen made sure we had an excellent stay. They really cared about our comfort and did everything to make it a good one. The breakfast was generous and delicious. They were helpful finding us a restaurant - which was one of the best meals we have had on this 6 week vacation. (Maos na Horta - vegetarian restaurant in a 14th century stables and inn). Exceptionally clean and the manager helped us get our luggage up the stairs. They are a proud team of true hospitality professionals and we are grateful.

This is a very small hotel with very small rooms - that being said, the staff/management/housekeeping/kitchen made sure we had an excellent stay. They really cared about our comfort and did everything to make it a good one. The breakfast was generous and delicious. They were helpful finding us a restaurant - which was one of the best meals we have had on this 6 week vacation. (Maos na Horta - vegetarian restaurant in a 14th century stables and inn). Exceptionally clean and the manager helped us get our luggage up the stairs. They are a proud team of true hospitality professionals and we are grateful.

Nous avons été très surpris par un accueil très sympathique et très chaleureux. Hôtel très propre,literies très bonne, petit déjeuner très copieux. Lors d'un prochain passage à Casteloo Branco nouss nous arrêterons à cet hôtel.

Nice little hotel with breakfast included was ideal for us on our way by car from Cordoba to Porto. We were able to park right at the front door, check in took just a few minutes and the bed was most comfortable.

A rede wifi no quarto (1° piso) necessita melhorar. Tv cabo óptima. Funcionários simpáticos e eficientes. Check-in rápido. Bom e variado pequeno-almoço. Funcionário impecável às 07h30. Sem barulho a noite toda. Estacionamento gratuito e com muita escolha ao redor do hotel.

The breakfast was disappointing and the showers were awkward and very small. Room was clean but rather small and austere. The bed was comfortable. We wanted some wine before we headed out to dinner and I walked a few blocks around the hotel and didn't see anywhere to buy it. It was desolate in the neighborhood. When I got back to the hotel, I saw a refrigerator with wine in it in the lobby and asked to buy the only bottle of white wine I saw in it. The hotel clerk said I could buy it and lent me a corkscrew and some glasses, but said he didn't know how much it would cost (which I thought was odd). He called someone and they couldn't tell him. I figured at worst it would be $25 (It's Portugal - it's hard to find a wine over $10 retail!) and bought the wine. That night when we returned from dinner, he said that he had reached the manager and the wine was 86 euros! We were stunned. We didn't even like it - three of us only drank half of it because it wasn't to our taste. It's the first white wine I've had in Portugal that I didn't like, and we've owned a home here for 4 years and drunk a LOT of wine at home and in restaurants. I looked it up and it was a pricey wine (56 - 65 euros retail) so it wasn't like they put a $5 bottle of wine in and jacked up the price, but why they had a very expensive bottle of wine in a moderate (at best) hotel lobby is beyond me. I would not return.

Dette var ett utrolig flott og sjarmerende hotell. Helt tydelig nyoppusset, rent og pent. Betjeningen var hyggelig, imøtekommende, restaurant området var lite, men dette gjorde ikke noe. Vi kunne forsyne oss med kaffe sent på kvelden og fikk med oss isbiter opp på rommet. Frokosten var delikat, enkel og helt perfekt. Det ble kontinuerlig fylt på, så det var friskt og ferskt til en vær tid. Kan anbefales 😃
