The property felt as though it was maintained to a good standard and the staff at the wedding party we attended were efficient and absolutely on top of their game. I liked the useable outdoor space which was a bonus on a hot evening. Great venue. The breakfast - we had full English breakfast and it was delicious and of good quality. Just enough and not overfaced. Would I stay there again - absolutely.

The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I stayed in the bar area to eat, as I'd just had a spa afternoon and knew a dining room would be too hot for me - I found a table next to an open window! A little pricing, but in keeping with the whole place overall. The spa was very warm, as I expect it should be, but a little warm for me as it was a hot day anyway - I'll have to return in winter! Staff were friendly and efficient!

Overall the stay at 315 Bar and Restaurant was outstanding. The room was decorated to a high standard and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very quiet and had everything you will need. On site parking is free. Food menu is excellent and a very high standard. View around the hotel amazing.

Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a good size and set up for a family as we needed. We were disappointed that the spa was closed, an odd decision to close the spa at the weekend when travellers are most likely to want to use it. Breakfast was a little underwhelming but plenty to choose from. The cereal packets were quite a long way out of date. The traffic was quite loud from our room at the front of the hotel. A room at the back would be much better to be able to sleep through. Just wish the spa was open, it was a reason we booked this property.

The parking was easy and safe as they have 24hr cctv. The room was spacious and clean and came with a bath too. Brilliant service and the breakfast was really good. Well worth it as a stop over for a few nights.

315 is an absolute gem of a place. So much packed into a small property set in a beautiful area. The food and service were exceptional, the room modern amd cozy. I didnt have chance to use the spa but it too looks fantastic. I will be back!

Upon arrival was disappointed to find out that the spar was closed. Not the best of welcomes considering i had just driven 260 miles, a little "welcome to 315 bar and restaurant" or a "how has your day been" would of gone down well. He just wanted to offload my key and let me know which room I stayed. The same guy served me for breakfast and wasn't the happiest. The lad at the bar in the evening was great and very chatty!

Nice hotel but had to settle on the 3rd room after complaining about the others only to see the curtain hanging off and holes in the carpets. Breakfast was quick but very small.

Booked 2 rooms and thought we would have been put next to each other. Shower cubicle was dirty- needed a good clean. Room was a bit dated and shabby in my opinion. Would not describe this B&B as boutique. Breakfast was very slow service and food was average.

Generally very good with helpful and friendly staff. The main areas of Reception, Bar, Restaurant were all lovely and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was good with a wide choice. Whilst relatively new, our room was a little tatty though. The bathroom door was damaged and the sealant on the shower was mouldy. The shower cubicle was a good size but the floor was smooth and very slippery. The extractor fan just couldn’t cope and after a quick shower the walls, floor and mirrors were dripping wet. The external areas looked a bit tatty too. The roof was covered in moss, weeds were growing from the gutters and the external patio areas needed cleaning. Overall it was good value for money but it would benefit from a little more maintenance overall.

Very nice hotel, just minutes from family who we were visiting, room was very comfortable and house keeper was really nice, breakfast was lovely and freshly made when ordered, table service was good and I liked that rather than buffet style, (never know where those hands have been). Will definitely book again.

Lovely family suite for one night. 6 of us so we had king size and 2 sofa beds. I drew the short straw for a sofa bed - it wasnt a good night of sleep! I can manage for 1 night but would have struggled for a full weekend.

Evening meal was tasty and well presented. Location is on a busy road, but 10 minutes from a nice stroll around Castle Hill and has good views AT THE BACK. Recommend that you request to dine in the conservatory at the back with lovely view. Also take a room in the main building with lovely views from the back. The alternative (we were late bookers) is dining in a side room and a bedroom in the extension with windows on to a corridor overlooking an enclosed seating area (no views at all). Enjoy the better options if you can. The food is great and the staff are lovely.

People working there were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately we were unaware there was a wedding on and where the only people there not at the wedding party so didn’t use the spa and sat to have breakfast in a restaurant full of wedding guests. The bed was advertised as a king but was at best a double. The mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on concrete so this mixed with the very loud music through the night it was not a good night sleep at all.

Very nice hotel option - good options on the menu and popular beer choices. Room was strangely laid out with a tiny TV mounted on the wall. Bed was comfy. Strangely only 1 set of towels for a double bedroom. Bathroom sink was tiny with tap that was too big. Nice for one evening but no more

Very nice small hotel and restaurant in a rural setting. Room appeared to be recently renovated and had a large walk-in shower. Unfortunately the mattress had not been replaced as part of the renovation and was likely 10-15 years old. The mattress structure had collapsed and provided no support. The breakfast choice was excellent and cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Really nice stay! Rooms were gorgeous, well decorated, everything you needed were there. Very quiet place, even tho they had an event on we didnt hear a thing. Breakfast was nice too, you you needed to wait a while and the staff seemed really agitated. All of them were nice, we didnt have a problem. But very moody, not most welcoming but if you look past that. It was great.

We stayed here for one night and were looked after and made to feel very welcome from minute one. The staff are extremely helpful and you get that warm homely feeling whilst enjoying fine dining and cuisine at the restaurant. This is a real hidden gem and I think the booking pages don’t exactly do it justice. There is a real buzz and positivity about the staff as they continue to introduce new events whilst maintaining the traditional appeal of the 315. Of course a special mention for Blaine who was passionate and attentive to our every need. Yes we remembered your name!😁

The hotel is relatively new, very clean and well presented. The food was excellent and certainly good value for money. The duty manager was very helpful and he obviously works very hard. Other staff would benefit from some training in order to bring service levels up to a higher level. Recommended.

I expected to have a good time at this charming bed and breakfast but that was not the case. The entrance area is connected to the bar, so it’s unclear where to check in. I booked a king en-suite, and the room had a queen size bed, was freezing cold (30F) cause the heat hadn’t been turned on for the unit. It ended up being two travelers which they then had us move to a family suite with an up charge. As a Expedia VIP member I didn’t expect this. I booked a king en-suite, and the room had a queen size bed, was freezing cold (30F) cause the heat hadn’t been turned on for the unit. It ended up being two travelers which they then had us move to a family suite with an up charge. As a Expedia VIP member I didn’t expect this. Upon arrival was disappointed to find out that the spar was closed. Not the best of welcomes considering i had just driven 260 miles, a little "welcome to 315 bar and restaurant" or a "how has your day been" would of gone down well. He just wanted to offload my key and let me know which room I stayed. The same guy served me for breakfast and wasn't the happiest. The lad at the bar in the evening was great and very chatty!

When I checked in I asked about the Wi-Fi State and was told all was good no issue. The second I attempted to logon I was unable to use the WI Fi and unable to work I informed the reception to be told Oh yes thats normal for this time of day. As it turned out it was the same all day and night. Staff service was poor.

Great location. The bed was rather hard and we didn’t get much sleep as we could not get comfortable. It didn’t do my back any good. Bedroom and bathroom spotless, no complaints. I think they need more staff as when we checked in and out no one was on reception. I had to go and find them in the kitchen. It was the same at breakfast. We could hear the staff chatting but it took a while for them to serve us. This said everyone was friendly and polite. If I knew that the bed would be comfortable I would stay again.

This is a lovely place in a quiet location, reasonable price and a really good restaurant. I wasn't overly enamoured with the room as i like a window to provide proper ventilation and fresh air. Air con only went to 19 degrees and it was a warm muggy night. Lovely staff and very clean. Spa onsite too although i didnt use.

Evening meal was tasty and well presented. Location is on a busy road, but 10 minutes from a nice stroll around Castle Hill and has good views AT THE BACK. Recommend that you request to dine in the conservatory at the back with lovely view. Also take a room in the main building with lovely views from the back. The alternative (we were late bookers) is dining in a side room and a bedroom in the extension with windows on to a corridor overlooking an enclosed seating area (no views at all). Enjoy the better options if you can. The food is great and the staff are lovely.

Overall the stay at 315 Bar and Restaurant was outstanding. The room was decorated to a high standard and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very quiet and had everything you will need. On site parking is free. Food menu is excellent and a very high standard. View around the hotel amazing.

Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a good size and set up for a family as we needed. We were disappointed that the spa was closed, an odd decision to close the spa at the weekend when travellers are most likely to want to use it. Breakfast was a little underwhelming but plenty to choose from. The cereal packets were quite a long way out of date. The traffic was quite loud from our room at the front of the hotel. A room at the back would be much better to be able to sleep through. Just wish the spa was open, it was a reason we booked this property.

Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. We didn't use many of the amenities as we were in town for a birthday party, but it provided a very relaxing base for us and our 3 kids. Very comfortable beds with lovely quality sheets and beautiful views into the countryside. We'd stay again.

Very nice hotel, just minutes from family who we were visiting, room was very comfortable and house keeper was really nice, breakfast was lovely and freshly made when ordered, table service was good and I liked that rather than buffet style, (never know where those hands have been). Will definitely book again.

be prepared to be treated as a captive audience with regards to prices, around £6.50 a pint for 2nd rate lager, can't recommend the steak as was amongst the worst i have been served and frozen mixed veg that might have seen the oven was described as oven cooked vegetables and with exactly 6 chips @ £33 i suggest the burger @ £20

Very nice hotel option - good options on the menu and popular beer choices. Room was strangely laid out with a tiny TV mounted on the wall. Bed was comfy. Strangely only 1 set of towels for a double bedroom. Bathroom sink was tiny with tap that was too big. Nice for one evening but no more

The staff were lovely, and the service was excellent. If i was to improve on anything it would be the ingredient quality at breakfast. Breakfast was a lithle disappointing. The food was mediocre. Good choice, but when it arrived it was small and bland. With cheaper ingredients. It felt like a missed opportunity to really impress. The cost of improving these ingredients would be minimal , but the impression it would leave with clients, would greatly increase. Shame as the meal we had the night before in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast just needs to be raised to that level.

The room was decent but needs maintenance; the carpet was frayed, and the door lock frequently jammed and was difficult to operate. On a positive note, the staff were welcoming and proactive about letting guests know that the bar closes at 22:30. The room was clean daily. However, the daily breakfast portions were very small—barely enough to make a sandwich. Additionally, the spa hours are highly restrictive for evening use, as it only opens from 09:00 to 17:00. The hotel was easy to find, located on the main road with lots of parking. On arrival we were greeted after a few minutes by someone at the bar. It was not clear where we should check in but check in was speedy once someone arrived. Our room was downstairs, there was a life but we used the stairs. The room was on the smaller side despite being a king size. There were too many signs of wear and tear for a hotel of this price range. The carpet was well worn actually bare in places and the walls were tired. Such a shame as the room was ok other than that. Tea and coffee facilities and hairdryer, toiletries were appreciated. Unfortunately, all the doors are heavy wooden doors and bang SO loudly so all you hear is bang, bang, bang! I would seriously advise that soft close hinges were applied to these as other than that the hotel room was quiet. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel but returned after dinner for a drink in the bar and were impressed by the selection on offer. Upon check in we were not advised anything about breakfast despite checking that it was included so in the morning made our way to the restaurant where we assumed breakfast was being served. This was correct but poor customer service that this wasn’t advised prior to the event. Breakfast options were good and service was prompt although the omelette was microwaved which was disappointing. We also found grizzle in our sausage which put us off. Not a bad hotel just could be better.
