Il Ticaboo Lodge è una struttura semplice e isolata vicino al Lago Powell, con camere costantemente pulite e silenziose e un comodo accesso al porto turistico di Bullfrog. The rooms are fine but no one is at the front desk. They have an onsite restaurant which would be handy in this rather remote area but it seems to rarely be open

The pool was closed for all days we were there in June. The hotel really needs to get better pillows. The staff was great and very accommodating.

Perfectly enjoyable—clean as a whistle, nice pool, helpful, cheerful staff. Just be aware the restaurant is closed so options for food consist of a gas station deli 2miles away. Nonetheless, I would be happy to stay there again.

Needs a bit of updating but the area is remote and has had owner changes. Bed was comfortable rooms were roomy. Place is about 12 miles from Bullfrog Marina. No breakfast, but coffee always available and a toaster is there for use

They changed per night for electricity to charge a boat. I’m not happy we didn’t know about that in advance. Shame on them, and shame on Expedia.

Firstly, the good. The staff was kind. The pool, when open, was nice. Now the bad. The AC in the room would make a terrible, loud screaming noise at times. In 4 nights, we had 3.5 with the AC off since no one could sleep through the noise. Maintenance never came to fix it after being notified. So those were some hot, sweaty nights. The room was never cleaned nor restocked with toilet tissue even though the sign requesting maid services was on the door. Guests also have to pay for ice and to do laundry if you can find a machine that isn't out-of-order. For the cost of these rooms one expects better.

When check in to the room precious customer left the food in the drawers and housekeepers didn’t care to check all the drawers and didn’t even picked up left over dog food from the floor. Wish there were some more hotel choices.

The staff were great. There was a lot of dust and some trash under the beds. That was a bummer. One ice maker didn’t work. 24 hour coffee was a plus. Decaf coffee not working a minus. Air conditioner was good and rooms were quiet and dark. Really liked the xeriscape garden; that is a great walk. I’ve stayed there many times and will again.

Love staying at Ticaboo lodge when we go to Lake Powell. It’s not brand new, but It’s clean and the staff is friendly and super helpful. I had to change my checkin date 3 times, and they accommodated me each time. Thank you!

It was a nice place to stay and our only complaint was the fridge was making a ticking sound all night that made it hard time sleep. We arrived late, just before 10:00pm and the hotel was completely full. It wasn’t staffed overnight or we would have asked to change rooms.

My only complaint was that the blinds didn’t really keep light out. The room didn’t seem dark enough at night and first thing in the morning it got super bright.

I recently stayed here and had a decent overall experience. When I arrived after the front desk had closed, their after-hours check-in system made me a little uneasy. My room keys were left in a large envelope with my name on it, hanging on the front desk gate. In my opinion, lockboxes with codes would feel much more secure. On top of that, my first room had an exterior glass door that was left unlocked when I arrived, which added to the concern. That room also had some small issues—the sprinkler outside kept hitting the glass door around 2–3am making noise, and in the morning light came straight through the sides of the shade onto the bed. The next morning I shared my concerns, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind, apologetic, and moved me right away. My new room was great and I had no further problems for the rest of my stay. The positives are definitely worth noting: both rooms were very large, clean, and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, the AC was cold, the WiFi was great and the water pressure was excellent. The hotel has a very “Utah” character to it, which I enjoyed. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful, and they even let me extend my stay an extra night with no hassle. The only other odd thing was being charged 25 cents for ice, which I’ve never experienced at a hotel before. They also don’t have a restaurant onsite, but they’re affiliated with a place inside the Sinclair station a few miles away—and it’s very good!

At check in Dean was amazing and made us feel right at home. Property was older but they offered a kitchen area to use a pool and laundry facilities. And it was very kid friendly. Everything was clean and quiet. The staff was great and accommodating. Definitely staying there again

This was a convenient 4.5 hour drive from SLC for our pre/post night on Lake Powell, which was a short drive from the hotel. We enjoyed how quiet and secluded the hotel was. The rooms were large enough that the other adults in our party could gather in one room to play cards and board games. We knew the restaurant was closed, so we brought food to microwave for dinner and breakfast. The Anasazi restaurant at Bullfrog is open at night. Just know that and plan ahead. The pool is open from 10am-7pm, so plan your swim time accordingly. I got to enjoy it one evening and it was warm and clean. It would've been nice to have it open later as there isnt anything to do in the area at night. It was just what we needed for a place close to the lake that wasnt camping.

The desk clerk when we checked in was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area, especially about where to find food which there are not a lot of options off season. He was very friendly.

Location was perfect. Because it was off season dining was very limited and what was open was slow and not good. The Lodge itself is nice, but limited it amenities.

I recently stayed here and had a decent overall experience. When I arrived after the front desk had closed, their after-hours check-in system made me a little uneasy. My room keys were left in a large envelope with my name on it, hanging on the front desk gate. In my opinion, lockboxes with codes would feel much more secure. On top of that, my first room had an exterior glass door that was left unlocked when I arrived, which added to the concern. That room also had some small issues—the sprinkler outside kept hitting the glass door around 2–3am making noise, and in the morning light came straight through the sides of the shade onto the bed. The next morning I shared my concerns, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind, apologetic, and moved me right away. My new room was great and I had no further problems for the rest of my stay. The positives are definitely worth noting: both rooms were very large, clean, and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, the AC was cold, the WiFi was great and the water pressure was excellent. The hotel has a very “Utah” character to it, which I enjoyed. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful, and they even let me extend my stay an extra night with no hassle. The only other odd thing was being charged 25 cents for ice, which I’ve never experienced at a hotel before. They also don’t have a restaurant onsite, but they’re affiliated with a place inside the Sinclair station a few miles away—and it’s very good!

Perfectly enjoyable—clean as a whistle, nice pool, helpful, cheerful staff. Just be aware the restaurant is closed so options for food consist of a gas station deli 2miles away. Nonetheless, I would be happy to stay there again.

This would have been a fun place to stay but there was no place to eat. The restaurant was closed, as was the gas station. The only place open was 20 minutes away and it was open for just 3 hours in the evening. If it would have been noted, we would have made other arrangements but it was not.

This hotel was excellent. Very nice and clean. However, it did not have a restaurant. It is very remote. The only place that offers food is the Sinclair gas station which was closed when we checked in. They do sell frozen dinners and it was kind of funny to be stuck like that. If you are going to stay, know this and prepare -- bring your own beer or arrive before the Sinclair station closes. Great coffee in the lobby, but that was all -- no breakfast (which was not advertised). This lodge was in the right place for us and we enjoyed the stay.

Amber, the maintenance person, saved us! We arrived on Monday. The lady at the front desk was supposed to program our key cards to work through Thursday! After our dinner Tuesday 30 minutes away at Defiance Lodge, we found that NONE of our three key cards worked! The front desk staff had left around 6:00 pm. We could not get our room. They had NO emergency phone number or anyone on call, and THEY had made the mistake! We drove the 30 minutes back to the Defiance Lodge to stay there. The wonderful hotel clerk there, called her mom who was the maintenance person at Ticaboo. After driving back to Ticaboo, we found Amanda waiting for us in her car. She got us into our room right away with her key. We were so thankful! The next day, I found a guy working at the front desk. I told him what had happened the night before. He didn’t seem to care too much. He said they’d told management about things like this happening and that there needed to be someone on call. That’s it. I asked him to program our three keys. My husband and I tested all three keys before the staff left at 6:00 that day. They worked. The only ones who really cared were Amanda and her daughter. We are so grateful to them!!

The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and were very much willing to accommodate our situation even when there was a hiccup in our reservation. The property we stayed in lacked essential items in the kitchen such as dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, measuring cups, mixing bowls, broken can opener, etc.. The carpet had tears along the seams and looked very worn. Plus side was everything worked well, no issues with appliances or A/C. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in and loved the pillows. Would still book this again but make sure we were more prepared for the short falls of the kitchen appliances.
