I wish I could give it 15 stars. We travel a lot and this is our new favorite. We stayed in one of the cottages on the hill. It was a large comfortable room. My only complaint is the chairs in the room were old and not comfortable. Everything else was exceptional. Great breakfast. Right in town so close to food, shopping and drinks. We enjoyed the quiet and the views that were beautiful. Parking is great and right next to you room. Our stay was so great we are already planning on returning next year.

Liked the garden area for seclusion and sitting with the two water tanks with the spouts that were calming to enhance the peaceful area. The only thing didn't like was there needed to be more lighting, a light on the overhead fan would take care of the problem.

It has been a long while that we have had nothing to complain about. The cottage was gorgeous, the bathroom was as big as my guest room in my house. The shower had 5 massaging heads, absolutely fantastic. The food around town was amazing, especially the burger at Ton Mill.We cannot wait to get back.

Staff was wonderful. Room and views were fantastic. Comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, very clean, perfect stay. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Was able to charge our electric vehicle via an outdoor outlet that was fixed while we were there. Our room was walking distance to town, but it was up on a hill so may not be a walking distance for all guests. Thank you for a fantastic weekend!

this was the cutest space i've stayed in. the beds were super comfortable, there's a ton of areas to sit outside and enjoy the views/nature. staff was super friendly and welcoming. the breakfast was amazing. definitely going to go back next year when we visit hermann again.

The room was clean and beautiful. I absolutely loved this property. When we lost hot water for a few hours, we were compensated fairly and quickly ... the staff truly listened to our needs and made the process easy.

Gorgeous property! Beds were super comfy, huge shower and bathroom. Tv was hit and miss on staticy stations with buzzing and a few outlets didn't work on just the top plugs but that was no big deal and the only problems we ran across.

We stayed in the Weinhaus cottage. It was lovely! It had 2 other suites in the cottage and one was above us. The cottage was very quiet even though all rooms were booked. It is in a beautiful location! The views were incredible. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They were helpful and very nice. I would love to stay here again.

We stayed in the cottage and both rooms were so nice and clean. It came with breakfast and it was actually a cooked breakfast like pancakes, French toast, quiche, and egg casserole served to us. It was amazing.

Our cottage was charming. As an amputee, the rooms were easy to maneuver and a shower chair was provided. Not the standard hot breakfast at hotels. Their food was really good. While the bed was comfortable, it was also pretty hot.

If you are looking for quaint and homey this is the place! The cottages retain much of the original building on the outside and the rooms are completely updated while maintaining the old character. The room was very large with great furnishings, the bathroom was humongous with a jetted shower and free standing tub. We truly felt like we were at home. The only negative is there is another guest suite above this one and you could hear the people upstairs

A group of ladies took the train from St Louis. The train drops you off right by the hotel. I called the hotel several times and everyone was very friendly and helpful. They put robes in our room and let us check in early etc. the rooms are beautiful and there was a little kitchen area stocked with waters and coffee. The breakfast was wonderful there were plenty of options. The only thing I wished is that we would have brought cash to tip our waitress and cleaning staff.

They put robes in our room and let us check in early etc. the rooms are beautiful and there was a little kitchen area stocked with waters and coffee. The breakfast was wonderful there were plenty of options. The only thing I wished is that we would have brought cash to tip our waitress and cleaning staff.

The property itself is beautiful, unique, clean and comfortable. If you are a bicycle rider however, steer clear because the owner is hostile to bikers. If you are riding the KATY trail in summer and want to leave early, breakfast is not until 8:30 AM. We missed it because we left at 6:30 to beat the heat. As far as parking bikes overnight, a very nice general manager said we could bring them to our rooms or put them in the hallway. She was sternly overruled by the owner who made us keep our bikes in the "elevator room" in full view through the glass of passers-by and other guests. Two of the four bikes were $6000 new. When we asked to use a convenient spigot / hose at the TinMill Restuarant across the parking lot to rinse off dust, we were approved by the nice GM but once again the owner intercepted us and literally would not let us hold the hose to wash off our bikes - she had to control the hose and the process. I am not sure the owner is aware of the economic impact visiting bicycle riders have on the town of Hermann. One last thing. If the owner "offers" to lock up your bikes in a back room, politely decline because the first employee does not arrive on property to unlock the room until breakfast, which once again is later than the industry standard.

Awesome experience. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We made a mistake on our booking date and they still accommodated us and even upgraded our room. The mistake was ours and they still made the stay memorable. Will be back for sure.

The accommodations were excellent, great customer service, breakfast was delicious, very convenient, good shopping nearby, good food nearby, Hermanoff Winery tasting was excellent!

Great spot to stay. We stayed in one of the hillside houses, the view was wonderful, and it was far enough from the train tracks to be very quiet.

Really liked the location on the hill since you could sit out and hear music from the festival while relaxing in the courtyard. Although our location was on 2nd St. it was a nice walk up about 100 stone steps to our dwelling. One young lady at checkin didn’t tell us how to get to the steps and sent us the long way around which was way harder with two hilly streets with no sidewalks. The main office to check in is right down from the train station and then we had to make our way up the hill to our house. Probably not for older people unless you have a car.

The property was beautiful sitting on the top of a hill looking over quaint Hermann. The breakfast in the Inn was delicious! Will definitely stay at the Hermannhof on my next visit!

Loved the uniqueness of the property and town, however was very disappointed in the location of our property we stayed .. we rode the train, therefore we had no transportation while we were there. We chose the Hermannhof because it was right by the train station , our room was a 1/2 a mile down the street with 108 stairs to climb up to get to our room. Fortunately we are somewhat in shape with no disabilities, the hotel didn’t provide any “rides” for check-in or departure, needless to say it was challenging climbing up and then down the uneven steps with luggage, for this reason when we do come back we will find a different place to stay. Most all restaurants and shops closed early, which left “bar” food as a choice for dinner .

The property was so cute and in such a nice location that everything is walkable and you get a cute view of the town from the hill! Overall a wonderful experience and I 10/10 would stay here again :)

It is in a historic part of town. The drive to the property was up a narrow, huge hill. Breakfast was good, coffee wasn’t great.

Perfect for our girls weekend! Great location, space, and comfortable beds. There is no living room and you can hear the train but they were clear on both of these prior to booking!

A group of ladies took the train from St Louis. The train drops you off right by the hotel. I called the hotel several times and everyone was very friendly and helpful. They put robes in our room and let us check in early etc. the rooms are beautiful and there was a little kitchen area stocked with waters and coffee. The breakfast was wonderful there were plenty of options. The only thing I wished is that we would have brought cash to tip our waitress and cleaning staff.

The property itself is beautiful, unique, clean and comfortable. If you are a bicycle rider however, steer clear because the owner is hostile to bikers. If you are riding the KATY trail in summer and want to leave early, breakfast is not until 8:30 AM. We missed it because we left at 6:30 to beat the heat. As far as parking bikes overnight, a very nice general manager said we could bring them to our rooms or put them in the hallway. She was sternly overruled by the owner who made us keep our bikes in the "elevator room" in full view through the glass of passers-by and other guests. Two of the four bikes were $6000 new. When we asked to use a convenient spigot / hose at the TinMill Restuarant across the parking lot to rinse off dust, we were approved by the nice GM but once again the owner intercepted us and literally would not let us hold the hose to wash off our bikes - she had to control the hose and the process. I am not sure the owner is aware of the economic impact visiting bicycle riders have on the town of Hermann. One last thing. If the owner "offers" to lock up your bikes in a back room, politely decline because the first employee does not arrive on property to unlock the room until breakfast, which once again is later than the industry standard.

We had a wonderful time! We were returning customers and for good train! The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming! The room was beautiful and quiet! The breakfast was delicious! If i had to say one negative was i was asked if we had dietary restrictions. We both do and i assumed because of our previous stay that the restrictions really meant something. We don't eat pork. Last time they were prepared and we had turkey bacon i believe it was. The first morning we were asked if we had dietary restriction but there was no options provided we were offered less foid because no options. So this morning we just didn't bother to say anything and ate around it. Of course this email detail is obviously to us not a reason to stay here again..next time we just won't mention it and work around it. We were very pleased with everything else!! Thank you for the great memories!! We will be back!!

Our room was great, however our fireplace never worked and our refrigerator kept turning off. We had to leave and go to the main Inn to eat breakfast. The food was subpar and I felt like I could have got better food at IHOP. We stayed two nights and the second morning we didn’t eat because the food was bad. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but I felt it was way overpriced for what we got.

Nice spacious room, with a lot of privacy. Breakfast options could have been better for the price that we paid for the room. There were only two choices and portions were small.

We stayed in the cottage and both rooms were so nice and clean. It came with breakfast and it was actually a cooked breakfast like pancakes, French toast, quiche, and egg casserole served to us. It was amazing.

We loved our stay. My sister and I arrived on the Amtrak and stayed for 3 nights. We loved the hotel and how close it was to a winery, distillery, and restaurants. My sister had a physical disability, so the staff was very helpful during our stay. The shower was top notch and the inn’s elevator was very convenient. We had a great getaway.

I stayed in the historic hillside cottages thinking that they close to the Amtrak station. We were unable to walk up the steep stone steps to get there. We unfortunately visited when the Lyft driver was gone and we felt nearly stranded but the staff of Hermanhoff saved the day. I plan to return but only with a car. The cottage was beautiful and so comfortable. The breakfast is not to be missed!!!!
