Hyatt Vacation Club at Ka'anapali Beach

Very nice property. Had a bit of trouble finding a place near a pool or access to the beach. Lovely

Amazing location, right on the oceanfront! 🌊 The Lounge was a big advantage — after check-out at 10 AM we could still enjoy the beach, then take a shower and relax before our afternoon flight. Very convenient and comfortable stay!

This was a perfect set up for my husband and I and our adult son. We both had our own rooms and bathrooms on opposite sides of the floorplan with a small kitchen and living area between us with a wonderful spacious balcony that looked out to the amazing pool area with the ocean just beyond that. Everything was nice, clean, and you could order good food from the pool bar. It was a short walk to the Kannapali shops and restaurants.

Mixed bag at this hotel. PROS: - the rooms are giant - pools are very nice, lots of chairs available - generally speaking staff were very polite - text message access to front desk - access to Regency - vallet parking was a plus for us CONS: - as of October 2025 beach access is very limited as large chunks of the beach are under restoration/not accessible and the beach is NOT suitable for small children (mine are 7&9 and they struggled), nor is it good for sitting and spending time at as it is VERY narrow & waves are strong. - no life jackets available for children - again, a huge miss for those of us with children when compared to Marriott who has them available next door, in several sizes. - services and kids entertainment was very much lacking in comparison to Marriott, and whatever was available cost $10 or 15 or 25 extra. - staff while nice were not knowledgeable. We arrived quite late and the front desk could not tell us of any one place we could eat, just did not know what is open and we had to find that ourselves by calling a few places. - very early check out of 10am. - finally, getting a text message telling me that before check out i am to strip linens, start the dishwasher, and take out garbage all before 10am, after i pay thousands of dollars to stay there is mind blowing. Literally i have never been asked that in any resort of this calibre, ever. If there is a sure way to tone down ‘luxury’ - this is it, Hyatt. Get it together.

Great place for families. 2 bedroom condos are super spacious. You can walk to whalers village in about 20min. Lots of options to eat and shop at the Hyatt next door and you can use their facilities as well. Beach is awesome.

Management when asked to switch rooms informed me they could not and sent up cookies and fruits platter and machine to help with the smell. Machine did NOT help and he room still has a bad order as we checked out. Bell boy agreed room stank the entire 4 nights we stayed. View was great. Pool was great, but the beach! It does not exist any longer: no access from Hyatt regency to Hyatt vacation club. Must enter by marriottt which also has zero beach to relax on. I feel like this should be told to guest upon booking that no beach is available on property. You must walk if you want to lay/sit on the sand. I also think these resorts have got carried away with trying to maximize profits. The beds they have for guests next to the ocean are at a cost. No beach chairs offered at $850 a night and a charge to use the beds they have next to the beach is just greedy hotels management trying to get bigger profits for there own bonuses. Besides the ugly . Room was ok they are clean and big . Pools wer very nice. Oh yea drinks way to much money . 23$ for a pina colada is insane. Over 50$ just so my wife and I can have a drink with tip. Greedy management trying to nickel and dime the guests. Why is valet a must at 40$ a night when they park it in the self park lot of the Hyatt regency hotel. Should be an option if your sister property allows it.

Love that tge rooms are condos. Nice to be able to buy food and snacks. Also, love having a washer and dryer

It was so wonderful. The staff was so great and got us taken care of quickly after a tiring night of trying to make new plans after the Tsunami. I’m so grateful for their kindness…it’s a beautiful resort with wonderful amenities and a great location.
