Die Lage ist günstig, um die Altstadt oder Nimman mit dem Taxi oder einem längeren Spaziergang zu erreichen. Es liegt an einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mit Restaurants in der Nähe. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. However there was quite a few things that were broken or not working in our room. Few times House keeping forgot to leave hand towels. For future reservations, make sure to book a room with windows, otherwise for long stays you start to feel enclosed in the room. Otherwise the place was easy to find, lots of free parking on site and breakfast buffet good.

Wasn’t in the best area of town, down a small soi. Room was ok, nothing special but adequate. Had a nice feel to it with the 4 poster bed. The outside is in need of maintenance. With astro turf ripped, rusty banisters on the stairs and the swimming pools did not seem clean as they had this murky look to the water. Breakfast is ok but very limited. You can order omelette, eggs western breakfast or Thai food. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Asked to change a 500 Baht bill..but they only had 60 Baht on hand…this happened 3 different days! We stayed here 8 nights. All in all this would be a great place if the management actually put some money into maintenance and improvements. The photos on booking website show much better than the property really is.

Mr. Michael went above and beyond to help us get settled in and deal with some minor problems. The rooms were very clean, as was the pool. There are some areas of the resort that are being worked on but the hotel has a unique favor to it, as you will see in the room entry doors, the horse statue in the pool and room decor to name a few We (3 couples) all enjoyed are stay here and would definitely recommend it to travelers who don't need everything perfect but want clean rooms, a nice big pool and a great staff.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious. Enjoyed watching the planes take off and the pool is very clean.

Booked this hotel on previous reviews, unfortunately this hotel was shocking, unable to use the main pool as it was unbelievably dirty (due to storm) but the small pool was clean? No cushions for the sun beds or day beds, most of the wooden sun beds were broken, 1 parasol which was also broken. Pool towels were available. The rooms were clean, no hot water for a shower, no furniture on balcony, had to ask for some. Screws exposed on balcony rail. Water provided daily, the staff were lovely. The breakfast was ok, would not stay here again. Very disappointed. Needs full refurb.

We had room 115, it was very dark semi basement type room, we had a small backyard but it looked like an unfinished construction site. Definitely not a room to sit outside and enjoy the view. Good deep swimming pool on the property though. The building needs a touch up.

This hotel is a hidden gem with rooms that literally walk out to the huge pool. The outside decks and furniture could use an upgrade but the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff was friendly but they forgot to tell us that we could order food the night before since regular dining was not open. We were there during the low season and practically had the place to ourselves. There is a sweet English style cafe around the corner.

Notre chambre était au sous-sol et cela n'avait pas été annoncé au moment de faire la réservation. La finition de la chambre n'était pas belle (des patch qui n'avaient pas été repeinturées, des trous dans les murs non réparé ,etc.). La propreté était comme dans les autres hôtels en Thaïlande dans lesquels nous avons dormi, c'est correct, mais c'est pas parfait (ex : draps de lits tâchés, serviettes tachées, certaines section du plancher sale, etc.). Le personnel à la réception était super gentil, toujours prêt à nous aider et nous conseiller.

I ended up switching hotels as soon as I saw 2 rooms. The driver was very kind and their English was extremely limited- which I understand. I was not told to pay for the driver ahead of time and since my plane came in late, I had no way of exchanging currency. I was also told after calling several times that transportation was unavailable. They do struggle to communicate information. I walked in and there was a very bad, moldy smell. I still tried to give it a chance. Then I walked in the room, smelled bad, very wet feel and there was a huge dead roach by the door. They offered me another room upstairs and I tried. A lizard crawled from under the bed to go under the closet. I left immediately and went to another hotel. They did drive me to my new location. I am working now to get a refund. Very, very kind staff however, the pictures do not give a true description of what you will see in person.

Good stay for one evening, there was a rooster nearby that crowed throughout the night, but I was still able to get some sleep. Light sleepers, however, may be affected. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

We had a great stay at the Chaya. In particular the staff were all very friendly and attentive. As for the room, it was very clean, spacious and kept to a high standard. We didn’t have breakfast and didn’t tour the local area so can’t comment, but for the pool and the room we would highly recommend this hotel. Short taxi away from the airport and the Old town and local enough for tours to collect us from the hotel.

Our overall stay was good. I found the pictures on expedia to be misleading. This property has great potential, however, I found it to be a bit in disrepair for the pricing. The pool has broken tiles in the bottom and it wasn't clean until the last day of our trip. The Wifi in our rooms was terrible. We asked several times to be moved or come up with a different solution. They moved the router a bit closer to our rooms and it worked for about a night. After that we all relied on slow data. The grounds around the perimeter of the hotel are dirty and have old broken parts strewn about. We had booked the deluxe pool side room and we are thankful we did. Their standard rooms are located in what would best be described as a basement. your only view is a cement and tile wall from the pool. The staff was very nice and Michael did his best to be accommodating. He even tried to arrange some rental scooters for us so we wouldn't have to walk the 1.5km to the nearest ones. The scooter rental didn't work out because they wanted to bring them late and older ones than we had agreed to for the same price. If you don't plan to hang around the resort and want an affordable motel than this is a good option.

The room was exceptional so peaceful and clean. The staff were lovely and it was very easy to get in and out of the main city either walking or getting a grab. I loved staying here and would stay again.

Nice place. I'd like to see it during the high season. During low season it was empty and left me to think too much and find issues in the room. I spent a lot of time in there, which was mostly positive. The negatives: The TV has local channels without ease of access to streaming services. The minibar in the room was nonexistent with the except of water bottles each day and a refill of the tea bags. Nothing else is in the room. Ants, but this is Thailand and if you have any trash they'll come find it. I opted out of daily room cleaning and ended up having a small issue with some ants picking at my trash. The fridge was really noisy and needed maintenance, so I just unplugged it. Overall: The property needs people to invest to return to its full potential. It's beautiful. Oh, and don't book the deluxe room. It's view is blocked by the pool and I promise you, if you're not expecting that you'll hate it and give them a 1 star. They don't deserve a 1 star. I believe 4. I would absolutely stay again. I wanna see it in high season.

Only writing this so no one has same experience as me. If there is an option to pay a bit more for a “POOL VIEW” take it. I didn’t at the time because i didn’t realize my room would be in a literal basement with zero natural light. The window was facing a tiled wall (side of the pool) and i felt so claustrophobic. It really was horrible and we spent most of the time avoiding the room. The property itself is really nice as is the staff and i would have HAPPILY paid the extra $10 a day to not feel like i was being held underground. Only writing this so no one has same experience as me. If there is an option to pay a bit more for a “POOL VIEW” take it. I didn’t at the time because i didn’t realize my room would be in a literal basement with zero natural light. The window was facing a tiled wall (side of the pool) and i felt so claustrophobic. It really was horrible and we spent most of the time avoiding the room. We had a great stay at the Chaya. In particular the staff were all very friendly and attentive. As for the room, it was very clean, spacious and kept to a high standard. We didn’t have breakfast and didn’t tour the local area so can’t comment, but for the pool and the room we would highly recommend this hotel. Short taxi away from the airport and the Old town and local enough for tours to collect us from the hotel.

We absolutely loved our 4 night stay at the Chaya! Michael and the staff made this trip spectacular - so great we came back to Chiang Mai for another 2 night stay. My husband and I are backpacking for our extended honeymoon and came into the trip with not a ton of plans for Chiang Mai. Michael and the staff helped us plan an excellent trip and went above and beyond for accommodating us by arranging motorbikes, bus and taxi services. They even gave us a really nice private room and decorated it special for us. The beds are extremely comfortable and breakfast was delicious. We love you Michael and staff! <3 Would come back to Chiang Mai just to stay here again!!!

The poolside suite was sublime. The access and comfort made are stay extremely enjoyable. Michael at the front desk is the most helpful hotel host I've ever encountered. I cannot say enough great things about his service, advice, and attention.

I ended up switching hotels as soon as I saw 2 rooms. The driver was very kind and their English was extremely limited- which I understand. I was not told to pay for the driver ahead of time and since my plane came in late, I had no way of exchanging currency. I was also told after calling several times that transportation was unavailable. They do struggle to communicate information. I walked in and there was a very bad, moldy smell. I still tried to give it a chance. Then I walked in the room, smelled bad, very wet feel and there was a huge dead roach by the door. They offered me another room upstairs and I tried. A lizard crawled from under the bed to go under the closet. I left immediately and went to another hotel. They did drive me to my new location. I am working now to get a refund. Very, very kind staff however, the pictures do not give a true description of what you will see in person.

This is a hotel with a lot of potential with some things to fix. Pool seems to have no filter so the water was quite dirty. The WiFi was also bad. But the rooms were great and Michael the staff was a really nice man. I think the hotel would benefit from having a manager present. I was told the owner was living in Bangkok and seemed to be had to get a hold of. I ended up leaving the hotel 3 days early and they refused to give me a refund. Also not great service. But the price was low so that part is good. I would suggest staying further north in Nimman to be closer to the action.

The property itself is nice and clean. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is a lot to do in the area if you’re willing to walk a bit. We walked about 30 mins from the hotel to the old town and wasn’t bad. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I will miss Chiang Mai. It’s a nice hotel in a convenient area if you don’t mind commuting a little.

This resort was in a perfect location! Very close to the airport and walking distance to old town. Staff were incredible, especially Micheal! They made sure we felt at home and set up activities for us to do in Chiang Mai. I highly recommend staying at this resort and spa and we hope to come back!

We were given the room in the basement but could still hear the sound of the airplane. The room was next to the staff cleaning room and next to the swimming pool without any views. The morning staffs on duty was very friendly and could speak good English, whereas the night guard spoke minimal English but was also helpful. There was only 1 ashtray in the entire lobby. The bath tub didnt look very use-able and tv was spolit. The room was pretty big and decent. There is a laundry shop outside which is good and food along the alley and provision shop. Overall stay 2.5 star out of 5.

Wasn’t in the best area of town, down a small soi. Room was ok, nothing special but adequate. Had a nice feel to it with the 4 poster bed. The outside is in need of maintenance. With astro turf ripped, rusty banisters on the stairs and the swimming pools did not seem clean as they had this murky look to the water. Breakfast is ok but very limited. You can order omelette, eggs western breakfast or Thai food. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Asked to change a 500 Baht bill..but they only had 60 Baht on hand…this happened 3 different days! We stayed here 8 nights. All in all this would be a great place if the management actually put some money into maintenance and improvements. The photos on booking website show much better than the property really is.

This was a little hotel. We got the swim up room, so you can just swim up to your patio. Breakfast is made to order. However, food come whenever it is done cooking. Example, you would get your fried rice and then your eggs, to finally salad. Some days, it’s different. The only thing could make this a better experience is that the bathroom, the sink leaks. So if you use the toilet, you surely will get your feet wet lol.

The room itself was clean and the staff polite and trying their best, but that is where the positives ended. We seemed to be the only customers staying that night. Breakfast was limited and no sign of a bar or evening dinner service. But the biggest disappointment was the pool. We booked a room with direct pool access, but the deck and steps to the pool were rotten and the pool itself was green and completely unusable.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was spacious and well decorated. The resort has the makings of being very good and is presently under construction. The biggest problem I had was an inability to get on the internet in my room. As i was working and had meetings in the middle of the night (which I could not log into it was very frustrating. Also not sure what was happening with the pool. I saw the rooms that all had direct access to the pool from the balconies which would have been great as I presently have a disability from a recent operation. Instead i was downstairs, down a flight of stairs with no access. I went to the pool and i am not sure it was even open . There were no cushions on any of the loungers so nowhere to sit or lie down. I never saw anybody in the pool. The other strange thing was having to wrestle to put a padlock on the door rather than open with a key every time one went in or out.
