Brookings Inn

In our room, the bathroom was very run down. Visible rust was on the door frame and various spots in the room and the ceiling looked damaged (small cracks and lots of odd stains). There was also a cabinet under the sink that was unfinished and extremely dirty. The bed and rest of the room was fine though. Walls were very thin though and we could hear noise from the room next to us and from the convention area. The pool was closed also. For the breakfast the morning after our stay, there were very few options and the options available were not the greatest. However, the staff were kind and friendly and, like I mentioned, the bed most of the room amenities were fine for a one night stay. Not sure if we will be staying again though.

The staff was very kind and attentive. The toilet didn't stop running without wiggling the handle. The fridge was dirty. (Staff did come to clean right away when asked!) The towel bar fell down the first time a hans towel was taken off it. The bedside light was burnt out (again staff brought a new bulb right away when asked) and the pool/hot tub was not open since January (per the posted sign).

When we arrived, the pool was out of order and never been notified. Went to room, the toilet was off the wall and the heater did not work very well. The next morning, i woke up with a bad rash from my neck to my chest.
