Hotel Riu Palace Tikida Taghazout - All Inclusive

They should stop guests reserving sun beds before they go to bed and clear all towels at least once a week at say 06:45 hrs, this would stop the silliness of sun bed wars.

Family with a 1-year old baby, Rooms are huge and daily cleaning, comes with bottled water and soft drinks in the mini fridge with daily complimentary refills. The room is pretty quiet at least quiet enough for the baby to sleep. The hotel itself is beautiful and huge with nice decorations in the common areas, You get drinks all day including alcohol (although did not try cocktails). The wine seems Tu be local but everybody was having it so I guess it was decent. Plenty of activity in and outside the resort, the gym is very complete, big plus for the indoor pool Foodwise, the overall quality is excellent, from breakfast to dinner the choice is wide either you want to eat healthy or not. To mention that the best food is the local dishes (pretty normal). There are also three restaurants included in the package for which you'll need to book in advance on the riu app. Managed to go to the three, the quality was inequal between all of them, but The Musk ( moroccan restaurant) is the top one to try, actually you should try them all to get a change from the buffet although, the buffet get changed every other day. I must say that I was impressed with the quality of food and ingredients used, it is actual meat, actual fruit, not the sirup juice that you usually found at breakfast. Service and staff are always helpful and smiling no matter the request. Outside the hotel you have a nice and safe walkay to the village and other hotels, coffee nearby. Overall, the hotel is a no brainer

Beautiful property with hard working and helpful staff. Great pool area, made up of multiple pools, only one of which was heated but it was enough. All inclusive was good considering the size of the property and large number of people to cater for. Drinks were limited to those in the all inclusive menu and cocktail quality not always very premium but allowed the staff to cater for the large demand without slowing the service. Property on a sandy beach, great waves/swimming and some local agents selling reasonably priced surfing/watersports and camel rides etc.

Beautiful property! Very well maintained and the staff work very hard to keep it that way. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Huge selection of good food at the buffet. Excellent spa facilities. Lots of beautiful seating areas around the resort. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Aber was gar nicht geht sind die Liegen am Strand ( alle kaputt oder durchgelegen)und wenn man zum Meer wollte musste man erst durch ganz viel Kamelkot laufen. Für ein 5 Sterne Haus geht das gar nicht.

90% of the loungers were taken and nobody was in them. People get up at 7am to 'reserve' sun loungers by just putting towels on them, then they just come and go as they please. I seen one couple reserve a premium lounge bed at 7am then not return until noon. I seen another women reserve a premium lounger, she came back after two hours to put some suncream on then left again. Another two hours later she was sunbathing on the beach while she had a premium lounger 'reserved' because she had a cardigan on the bed. I wish the hotel would monitor this and just move the towels and put personal items in lost property. Me and my partner just starting moving towels and sitting wherever, we got away with it a couple times and had one altercation with another couple who reserved it 4 hours earlier then spent the morning at the markets expecting there lounger to be waiting for them. Otherwise nice stay

Was a great place, great amenities, amazing staff, took care of us, very clean et beautiful resort and the location is perfect, had so many activities for kids ! ⚠️But the WiFi was terrible. Probably the worst I seen in such nice place..

Super hotel, real 5* Animation activities need an upgrade (quite lame for the price paid)

Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce séjour au Riu palace. Que ce soit les activé, les repas etc … Regret : 2 des 8 piscines étaient chauffées mais restaient très froides (les 6 autres piscines étaient encore plus froides) y compris la piscine intérieure… nous n’avons donc pu que très peu nous baigner, dommage. Bon à savoir : une partie des restaurants sont sur réservation, pensez à reserver à l’avance via l’application.

Et fantastisk opphold på et fantastisk sted. Vårt andre opphold her på et halvt år, både barn og voksne elsker det! Alle som jobber her er veldig serviceinnstilte og vennlige. Det eneste negative er at det ikke er nok solsenger rundt bassengene.

Immense hôtel, vraiment.... 6/7km par jour dans l'hôtel. Un labyrinthe car mal indiqué. Trou perdu sans rien autour. Si les espaces communs étaient entretenus comme les espaces verts ... Des assiettes au sol 5 jours dans notre bâtiment, des insectes et bouts de verre ( pratique pour retrouver son chemin)... Immense cantine, on trouve de quoi se nourrir mais pas une fois un vrai whaooo, par contre le petit dej top. Du personnel formidable et du tête à claque qui veut du pourboire et fonce sur les anglais. Peu francophone, c'est déstabilisant au Maroc. C'est un '' palace '' mais il faut demander pour un peu tout, normalement ça marche pas comme ça.... La guerre des transats xxl, j'ai vu une femme faire un saut en extension comme au handball pour jeter ses serviettes sur un matelas en pensant qu'on allait le prendre, lol... Un volume de bruit élevé, un volume de musique dans le hall concert absolument énorme... vraiment le sentiment d'être en Algarve ou aux Baléares tant tout semble être fait pour séduire les anglais. Le wifi est là mais instable et peu fiable, j'ai pris un forfait Maghreb après 24h.... Bref, c'est moyen... Il y a le soleil, les piscines, l'océan extrêmement propre, le petit déj' et quelques cocktails en positif, et beaucoup de trucs pas terribles ou mauvais de l'autre côté, des fois on en rigole, dès fois et surtout quand c'est à notre détriment on rigole pas du tout.... Nous n'y retournerons pas c'est certain, la balance pèse trop dans le négatif.

Poop on the beach and in the pool. Food is unsanitary. Was washing dishes before using them because they had food stuck to it. 2.5 star at best.

The actual hotel is beautiful and very clean

On our first night at the Riu Tikida Palace Taghazout hotel, we found two cockroaches in our room. We contacted the front desk, and they sent someone to spray the room with insecticide. The next day, we complained again, and they moved us to a different room. Shortly after, I began feeling unwell—fever, fatigue, and diarrhea. My wife initially thought it might be heat stroke, but she developed the same symptoms the following day. We had to drive to a pharmacy to buy medication, as none was available at the hotel. We informed the reception that we believed our illness was caused by the food. They responded by saying that out of 1,200 guests, we were the only ones sick, so it was unlikely that the food was the cause. However, we have no allergies or food intolerances, and since we only ate the hotel’s all-inclusive meals, it seems unlikely that something else caused our illness. At the end of our trip, we consulted a gastroenterologist. After a medical check-up, we were diagnosed with gastroenteritis and prescribed antibiotics and probiotics. For a 2800$ trip, it’s defenitely not worth it. We asked for a compensation and they gave us a 50$ off on the next reservation. What a joke !

Room was great until the lights goes off then out comes to cockroaches. We had two instances of these critters during our stay. It totally was a bummer. Other than creepy crawly things, the buffet and the resort was excellent. The ala carte restaurants were ok. Service was good.

The property was not up to the standards of a 5-star property. The room had ants, moths and fruit flies. Our clothes and toiletries had ants infested in it. We told the staff about this and they said they won’t do anything about our clothes and that they would send housekeeping. Housekeeping took hours to come and even after they came there was still ants, moths and fruit flies. On top of this, we tried to book dinner reservations on the property from the minute we got there it was booked and we had no options other than buffet. Extremely disappointed - especially for the price we are paying it is not worth it. Better to go with the other nearby resorts.

Design of the hotel amazing! Execution of build no so much. Maintenance non existent. Cleanliness in some bars very questionable, the pool bars especially. Even after investion so much money in the area they still can’t get rid of the Moroccan drain smell in the “5 star” bathrooms. 95% of staff amazing, so genuinely helpful and friendly. A la crate restaurants very very good, buffet not so good, very tedious and a clear use of re designing the night befores food. It’s a welcome addition to the taghazout Bay Area, as I’ve been coming to taghazout for 14 years so seen quit some change in that time and it’s nice to have a luxury option to bring my young family to. Just a bit further investment needed to improve staff and overall cleanliness, hygiene

Arrived at Hotel Riu, looking forward to enjoying a couples retreat, booked a balcony sea view room, then we arrived was had a garden view, on the ground floor, called reception this was changed to a better sea view. We had are first meal which was absolutely awful, no taste, no flavour not even salt, the alcohol was also awful, wine had no taste, tasted like gas. The decor was lovely but again failed due to simple things such as, no music being played. We again went for breakfast the next day which was just awful the eggs where not seasoned and the orange juice was extremely watered down.Tried to cool of in the swimming pool however was painfully freezing, unbearably cold, can not stay in it more that 15 seconds. We then booked dinner which was again terrible, flavour was just not there nor taste in all the restaurants, was very disappointed as I paid £287 a night for food and alcohol that I did not even drink or eat properly, if I did not buy a large bottle of patron tequila from the airport to mix with the slush puppies served, I don't know how I would have coped, awful cocktails, either full of sugar or no taste bartenders dont know what they are doing, every night I had to eat outside the hotel because the food was so awful, the high light was a dinner at Fairmount hotel Morimoto restaurant which was a true 5 star hotel. This is a hotel for people who dont care about food quality or taste, and just want to be in the sun, if you like quality this hotel is not for you.

Rooms not ready at 3 pm. No towels and we had to wait 30 min. Smelly room. Noisy room and was located under restaurant- moving table and chairs started at 7:30 am. Worst experience in my entire life.

Nice comfortable stay, however, sewage problems with our room, that should have been checked and serviced before we checked in. Otherwise, everything was great!

Jolie hôtel mais le Check in est bien tard 15h pour accéder à la chambre et le temps qu’on vous amène vos valise il est 16h donc nous n’avons pas pu profiter de la piscine comme nous le souhaitions. Dommage

Housekeeping used my hairbrush and perfume. I spoke to staff at the reception who said management will be in touch and I’ve just been ignored. I visited this hotel back in 2023 but unfortunately the standards have dropped.

Attentive and helpful staff. Very pleasant setting.

Room was very good size , staff is rude, for days we requested for an iron and they kept saying we are sending it and never , not enough water bottles in room , the Spa staff was not bothered at all , masssage was waste of money and extremely unprofessional

We have just spent a week at the RIU Taghazout, beautiful hotel with immaculately kept grounds. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming and can’t do enough for you! Particularly Rami in the restaurant - Thankyou for the fantastic service all week! The food was delicious - did get a little same-y but that’s to be expected with an all inclusive, there were however plenty of options enough to please any palette! An abundance of pools to choose from and all public areas are kept spotless!

On était obligé d appeler la réception pour demander le changement des couvre draps des couve lits et de nettoyer la chambre . Les services ne sont pas dignes d un hôtel aussi cher que le vôtre. Ca serait ma dernière fois ou je mettrais les pieds dans cet hôtel… ma famille et moi on était très déçu.

The hotel was great. The whole atmosphere was amazing. Great service from all staff especially Sharifa at the front desk and Ousama at the buffet restaurant.

I have stayed at the RIU hotels and resorts in 4 countries and it was a first for me to be disappointed. Although there were some lovely customer service the service overall was very hit and miss. Some staff acknowledged me making sure I was seated and drinks were offered at meals but majority didn't. As a regular solo traveller that pays more to be in luxury hotels such as this, it was disappointing that I wasnt treated the same as the other guests that were couples and families. Beautiful location, lots of things to do for everyone

Excellent sejour en couple. Emplacement idéal pour profiter de la plage et du village de Taghazout .Chambre spacieuse et magnifique décoration. Un jaccuzi extérieur réservé aux adultes seraient par contre appréciable.

Everything that the resort controls is done well: clean, well furnished rooms, manicured property, good gym, decent food, helpful staff. If you stay on the property, you are fine. But the resort stands on a public beach. Not bad: wide stretch of sand about half a mile long. But we had to share the beach with local kids playing football, sellers offering trinkets, locals selling camel and horse rides, and of course, camels, horses, and a few stray dogs. Think twice.

The beach was very beautiful the location is about 22km from Agadir city the food was ok the service was average but very limited choices at the bar cheap liquors nasty wine and only one choice of beer. The entertainment was very limited the shows were very boring. I recommend this place for no more than three night because is can of boring.

Just got back from a 7day stay at Riu palace lovely place. Only bad thing to say about it is not a lot of options of food for vegetarians as my wife struggled.

The hotel grounds and communal areas are beautiful. the vast majority of staff are friendly and helpful although a couple of people could do with retraining. Food was poor with obvious signs of cost cutting - at one evening buffet there was no meat available for considerable time due to limited options. It is not true 24 hour as from 10pm to 7.30am there is no food available.

The aesthetics were great. The lobby and 24hr hour bar was nice. It was wasn’t much to do at the resort honestly. I’ve been to other Rui locations and they always have a lot to do. Also no one is warns you of the cats. It’s sooooo many cats just roaming around. Especially at the restaurants they come in so if you aren’t a fan of cats i wouldn’t suggest you staying here. The spa was great! Must try Hamman massage. There wasn’t much food options. I went out to other restaurants outside of the resort to eat. The restaurants would not open until 7:30pm-10:30pm, there was only one restaurant available for breakfast between 7:30am-10:30am then for lunch 12:30-3:30pm. There was one girl at the front desk she was VERY helpful. She gave me someone who was able to take me on excursions.

Tolle Anlage, weitläufig und schöner Strand dabei. Zimmer zwar schön, aber sehr hellhörig und die Speisen am Buffet, sowie in den Restaurants kaum bis gar nicht gewürzt.

Staff is exceptional. Almost everyone is polite, professional and they always welcome you with a simile. Structure is large and well organized overall but a few things could be improved. Great choice of food but the quality is not great. It does feel a bit like "dishes for the masses" and it can be tasteless or not properly cooked.
