Very clean and quiet property. No room service available( not even for a bottle of wine!) and the fitness facility is located in a "sister" hotel 2 blocks away. Would of appreciated being informed of that before hand. I would of booked at the other/sister hotel for the same price and received room service and fitness room on site.

Nice location near the river/lake junction. Very well maintained older property. Good-size rooms with most things working well. There is no on-site exercise room but there are walking paths near by. Breakfast is high quality and generous - not the usual motel food.

We enjoyed our previous stay at the hotel, which is why we chose to return. Overall, this visit was pleasant, but the bed in our room was very squeaky, making it difficult to sleep without disturbance. Additionally, the room wasn’t as clean as it was during our last stay. Aug 11,12 2023 Pros 1. Covered parking, warm greeting, large room. Initial impression was 4/5, until I saw the bathroom. 2. Bed is comfortable 3. Complimentary breakfast is tasty. Staff were great. Jenna was excellent. Coffee was great. 4. Room had a fridge. 5. Complimentary wine tasting at 4pm, except Walter guards the wine and gives small, stingy servings. Walter knows nothing about the wine, except that is is from Lakeview Winery. Alison did a much, much better job. 6. Hotel is in a quiet area, walkable to the downtown. Cons: 1. Hotel does not deliver the standard for a $580/night room. 2. Stayed in rm# 201 and after about an hour you started to notice that it had not been deep cleaned in a while. Dust on most horizontal, surfaces, frames and bed rail. 3. Hairs and nail clippings on bathroom floor. Eew. Toilet bowl rim was dirty. Dish used for glasses had soap scum. No towel ring next to sink. Sink drained slowly. 4. Shower is awful. Hairs on the seat and the body jets spray everywhere with no option to turn them off and use the regular head only. 5. No exhaust fan in bathroom, so mould is present on supply air registers due to condensation build up. 6. In breakfast room, mouldy supply air register directly above hot food. 7. TV had only one channel, the weather network. This was fixed the next day. No TVGuide. 7. Stains on pillows. 8. I would fire the room cleaning staff. Reading past reviews from 2021, some items continue to be a problem in 2023. We won't return.

Overall this is a solid hotel to stay at. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. It it located in the town of Niagara on the lake which is perfect if you are a tourist. Parking is easy and no extra charges. The room was comfortable overall. My only complaint is that when we arrived to our room we found hairs in the shower that clearly did not belong to us as well as some under the pillows.

Beautiful property sitting right on Lake Ontario just out of the hustle and bustle of the town but a 5 minute walk away from all the stores and restaurants you will want to visit. Spotlessly clean, we had a large airy room (305) facing the harbour. The staff are wonderful. Everyone we encountered seemed happy to be there and at our service. Nice breakfast is included. Bed is firm and comfortable and there is a roomy separate shower and whirlpool tub. Great value for the money. I highly recommend it.

The staff was delightful and the hotel was conveniently located to shopping, dining, and the water view. Our room needed much updating and the shower was gross! Major mildew in the grout was unacceptable. The ceiling was peeling from moisture in the bathroom.

This hotel is lovely, the staff were pleasant, the room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with everything you could possible need. The only reason we gave a 4 star as apposed to a 5 is the noise that you can hear from the hallway and possibly other rooms. The doors have a small space under them that allows you to hear everything. This would not stop us from staying at this lovely hotel again, but it might bother families. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We were looking for a cheap, quick getaway, so our expectations weren't especially high. We surprised by the excellent facilities, amenities, and service. From check-in (with home-made cookies) to check-out, never have we had such enthusiastic care and attention from the staff at any other establishment in North America. Value added included a continental ( ) breakfast (included eggs, and tea/coffee service), afternoon wine tastings, and free shuttle service to the main area of town (Alison, the shuttle driver, was extremely helpful and accommodating). The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated, with a gas fireplace, Nespresso machine, fridge, etc. The bathroom featured an over-sized tub with jets and a very large shower. Downsides: the room was extremely warm—no real occasion to use the fireplace and no room-specific climate control (with the fan on, even -3º cold from outside the open windows didn't make it into the room). Although equipped with a TV, it was pretty outdated with no streaming options and limited cable channels—not that that was a high priority for us. Torn between recommending this place and "keeping it our secret."

The property was fine. Information about the shuttle was confusing, not always available. The biggest issue was a noisy dog left in the room barking while the owners went out to play golf. I would not recommend staying at this property for that reason. I wanted to take a nap but it was impossible with the dog barking for hours. Not only was this rude for many in the hotel including the lounge but it was terrible for the dog. While I spoke to the receptionist and she documented the problem I never heard from the management. Since it is pet friendly the staff could not enter the room to remove the dog. The owners were called and a message left on their phone. I sent the management an email also and they completely ignored it. An establishment is only as good as the management and I have to say I would not give them even 1 star. This is not an inexpensive establishment so spending your money elsewhere is recommended.

Disappointed that while our room was ready when we arrived, receptionist wouldn’t give it to us 1 hour prior to check in time ( suggested 50$ fee to get it ) At 600$ a night, not much in form of facilities … this will be the last time staying here ( much better options in the area )

What made this place stand out was the staff. Upon arrival, Emma greeted us and suggested wineries to visit and helped us book a shuttle for dinner. Ali, who was serving wine and cheese in the afternoon, was also our driver at dinner! He took the time to point out landmarks for us and was so pleasant.

The service from the time we checked in to when we checked out was excellent. We had tickets to see a concert at the Jackson Triggs Winery and they provided a shuttle to take us to dinner, then to the concert and brought us back to the hotel after. The woman who drove the shuttle was absolutely amazing. She recommended a place for dinner and even went so far as to go into the restaurant to make sure they had a table available before dropping us off. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.

Great location just far enough from the action that it's quiet but close enough that you can easily walk there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Very clean hotel. And the French toast at breakfast each morning was amazing! Great location right near the water, we walked the path along the water each morning. It was absolutely beautiful. Within walking distance to all of Queen Street. You won't be disappointed.

Very dissappointed on breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m. We had to leave before 8:00 both mornings so very disappointing. Also, 4:00- 5:00 wine tasting, same wine both days and when you don't like Chardonnay but want white, you were out of luck both days.

We had a wonderful stay at Harbour House. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had dairy-free milk options, almond and oat milk, which was so nice for my morning coffee. The only thing is they didn’t have any real gluten free options, except eating fruit and some lunch meat ham.

This hotel was great on every level. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms spacious, comfortable, and clean. The location was great with free convenient parking. The included breakfast was a nice treat. It wasn't just your typical continental breakfast or make-your-own waffle buffet, but it included nice breads and pastries, a sweet bread pudding and a savoury frittata, fresh fruit and yogurts, and more. There was also a late afternoon social hour, with free wine and cheese. The hotel also is connected to a great wine tour that was just what we wanted. We would highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
