Comfortable room on the second floor, up some steep steps from the street. No lobby, but the host runs the cafe and seems to be there all day. Very convenient location for exploring Cold Spring and local hiking trails.

Great service and very clean room. Owners were VERY pleasant and accommodating. Just a couple heads up for travelers. Our room, #4 was VERY small. We were there for a formal event at West Point and was difficult to get ready in the room. Also if traveling in colder months, there is only an electric baseboard heater in the bathroom, and a small space heater for heat. Not a reflection on the owners, just an FYI for future patrons. I cannot speak to the other rooms

We’ve stayed at Cold Spring Hotel for Labor Day weekend for the past 3 years. Every time we stay there we feel at home, the owner and his son are SUPERB. The property is very clean. Perfect location, near restaurants, cafes, antique shop and more. Keep in mind if you want to stay at this place you need to book it months in advance during holidays.

Had a wonderful stay. The hospitality of Jimmy and staff was absolutely incredible, such nice people and extremely welcoming. Got a great discount at the on site cafe, 50% off for guests and the food was very good and homemade. The room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Best part was you were right in the village and near some hiking trails and nature preserves. Will be back and stay here again. Such a good experience!!

Great location in the middle of town and short walking distance to all restaurants and shopping. The owner was very nice, inviting and helpful. The room layouts were a bit odd, and our room (#6) was on the first floor directly behind the store. The room itself had no windows, but a narrow hallway that led to nothing except 2 windows at the end. The bed was good, and not having the windows meant we actually slept pretty well. The space had been recently renovated so everything was well made and all new, but soundproofing was not great and I could hear our neighbors talking and snoring.

The owner and staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. It is smaller than the standard hotel and thus has more “homey” feel to it. It’s right in the center of Cold Spring, near all restaurants, shopping, etc. Will definitely stay again.

Let me be absolutely clear: this hotel was, by far, the single worst part of my recent trip across Quebec, New Hampshire, and Maine. It is the epitome of inconvenience, poor value, and a total rip-off. To pay $230 for this experience is not just unreasonable—it is a steal, and the owner should be ashamed to charge that amount without conscience. From the moment we arrived, the issues began. The hotel has no dedicated parking, which is a significant inconvenience for travelers. We found the dining situation equally unacceptable; breakfast is not included, and while they offered a discount to their café, we refused based on pictures showing food served in paper dishes—a low-quality setup that is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. The room itself was an absolute disaster. I travel frequently, and this was hands down the tiniest room I have ever had in my life. To pay $230 for this experience is not just unreasonable—it is a steal, and the owner should be ashamed to charge that amount without conscience. From the moment we arrived, the issues began. The hotel has no dedicated parking, which is a significant inconvenience for travelers. We found the dining situation equally unacceptable; breakfast is not included, and while they offered a discount to their café, we refused based on pictures showing food served in paper dishes—a low-quality setup that is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
