Best Western Shalimar Praia Hotel

Cumbersome/slow check in, no elevator, my room’s electronic lock was not functioning and needed to be fixed, rain leaked in the restaurant and rooms’ corridor, it took one hour for a Caesar salad to arrive. The bed was comfortable, the room was fine.

Shalimar offers a very good breakfast, but the front desk can be difficult to deal with, especially given the high volume of clients.

Internet access was limited, check in and check out processes were inefficient, air conditioning didn’t work properly.

Excellent hotel, very good breakfast, all staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and has a nice pool. The only thing that was a safety concern to us is that there is no traffic lights to cross the street in front of the hotel and not all cars stop at the same time. We were crossing when the cars stopped, but a motorcycle didn't stop and almost hit us. It is not the hotel fault, but they should defenitely bring this concern to the city as it affects the hotel guests.
