This is a very nice hotel with its own access to the beach. The rooms are well designed and spacious, and look out on a beautiful jungle. The area is quiet but has goo range of restaurants within a ten minute walk. The property looks like it has not yet recovered from the pandemic, and parts of it appear abandoned (including the beach access). The staff seem more cost conscious for this reason as well, and the attention to ensuring amenities is not always consistent. But overall these are minor complaints and I highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved this property! It was clean and absolutely beautiful!! The moon bar is the most perfect spot to grab a drink and watch the sunset. The main pool was cold and lovely. I would recommend the beach villas over the pool access suites though, that pool was quite warm. But 10/10 would recommend and stay again

The place is really great. However I booked this place and paid the premium price because I thought it had a buffet, bars, pool and beach front. I was here in 2019 and it had all of that. Now there is none of that.

Great layout, with a beautiful, effectively private beach. Amazing sunsets, and things never felt crowded. Room is large and clean. Well traveled people stay here, and their demeanor shows it.

Moonlight Bay Resort We spent 8 nights at Moonlight Bay Resort and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is situated directly on Klong Nin Beach and has its own secluded beach. There are two pool areas and a nice restaurant and bar. We stayed in a pool view room which was a good size with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and the creek and were able to watch a great variety of wildlife from the balcony in the early evening. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of food. One tip: get a second coffee maker!! The morning coffee queue is painful! The pool and beach area are quiet and there is no morning battle for sunbeds. We snorkelled off the beach and there was a bit to see underwater but not much. The hotel is about one mile from the main Klong Nin beach area which has a plethora of beach bars, restaurants and massage parlours. We chose to walk in and back each evening but there is always a taxi or two waiting outside the hotel if needed. I only have one real criticism. We decided to attend the Wednesday Seafood Barbecue and Fire show and turned up at the scheduled time of 7pm. There was already a large queue so we ordered a drink, joined the queue and made our order. By this time, we got the very last jacket potato and all the corn was gone. (There were still a number of people behind us in the line.) We placed our order (fish and squid) and went back to our seats. It was the one and a quarter hours until our food arrived. The staff were running round like

Wir hatten einen Strandbungalow, der war traumhaft. Pool und Strandbar super, alles sehr sauber. Happy Hour an der Strandbar mit Sonnenuntergang ein muss. Personal sehr nett und immer bemüht zu helfen. Außerhalb vom Hotel wenig gutes, man muss eigentlich immer fahren oder eine größere Strecke gehen. Wir haben daher immer im Hotel gegessen, das war gut. Defizite: beim Frühstück gab es nur einen kleinen und langsamen Kaffeevollautomaten der häufig irgendwelche Macken hatte (nervig). Liegen gab es am Pool und am Strand nicht ausreichend, man musste schon früh sein um eine zu bekommen. Außerdem gab es noch weniger Auflagen als Liegen. We loved our stay at the Moonlight Bay. The hotel is newly renovated, and the room was beautiful. The whole property was very well kept with nice private beaches and pool area. Fantastic breakfast buffet (the egg station and fresh pancakes were particularly great!) with lots of fresh fruits, juices, good coffee and savory options. Really enjoyed our cocktails at the bar, overlooking the beach and with amazing sunset views. Dinner options were a little pricy compared to local alternatives in walking distance, but the food was still tasty. Fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

Nice modern rooms. Far from walking street but you can take a Tuk Tuk. The hotel is quite and has nice nature. The beach is rocky but you can find a small opening for swimming. The lounge by the ocean is very nice for an evening drink. The pool is decent. You can get massages with a beautiful ocean view.

Location, location, location. The resort is a little more out of the way and you do have to get taxis everywhere but the location makes up for that in spades. With the bar right on the beach, dining and drinking were sublime. The staff were so friendly too and they make the best Long Island iced tea in Thailand!

We liked the location on a small private beach and being away from the main road. Our cabin was just above the sea and beach and had a beautiful outlook. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. Breakfast was decent with choices of cereal, eggs, some (limited) fruit. We always managed to find a deckchair - it never felt too busy. Only negative was that the bathroom was a bit worn but still functional. Staff were very helpful. Good restaurants in walking distance (we didn’t have meals at the resort). Restaurants we went to were Coco Tango, Shamti Shanti, Dirty Fish. The cabins are up multiple stairs and on a hill - so you need to be mobile to stay here. We would recommend staying here - it was “comfy rustic”.

Den var fantastisk och vi trivdes jätte mycket. Långt ifrån stan men gjorde inget för det var möjlighet för att låna moppe och ta sig runt hela ön vilket var en tillgång. Bra städning och jätte trevlig personal som vid städning som restaurang osv. Kommer antagligen komma tillbaka i framtiden

Great location and views. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Our room wasn’t the cleanest when we checked in, little bits of rubbish still around the place when we first arrived which was a little disappointing. But minus that the place was fantastic.

Die Unterkunft können wir nur jedem ans Herz legen. Das Personal ist durchweg extrem freundlich und serviceorientiert, wirklich außerordentlich nett. Nach einem kleinen Unfall mit dem Moped, welches wir über das Hotel für einen fairen Preis gemietet haben, wurden wir sehr liebevoll vom Hotelpersonal erstversorgt und unsere kleinen Wunden wurden gereinigt. Zusätzlich hat man dafür gesorgt, dass die Reparaturkosten für das Moped für uns fair ermittelt werden, sodass sich auch diese Kosten in einem überschaubaren Rahmen hielten. Das ist Service auf ganz hohem Niveau! Die Anlage erinnert fast schon an ein 4-Sterne Hotel in Griechenland. Super gepflegt und ein tolles Ambiente. Sonnenuntergänge können bequem von der Hotelbar genossen werden Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Sollten wir nochmal nach Koh Lanta reisen, werden wir wieder im Moonlight Bay einchecken. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt!

Breakfast was decent with choices of cereal, eggs, some (limited) fruit. We always managed to find a deckchair - it never felt too busy. Only negative was that the bathroom was a bit worn but still functional. Staff were very helpful. Good restaurants in walking distance (we didn’t have meals at the resort). Moonlight Bay Resort We spent 8 nights at Moonlight Bay Resort and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is situated directly on Klong Nin Beach and has its own secluded beach. There are two pool areas and a nice restaurant and bar. We stayed in a pool view room which was a good size with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and the creek and were able to watch a great variety of wildlife from the balcony in the early evening. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of food. One tip: get a second coffee maker!! The morning coffee queue is painful! The pool and beach area are quiet and there is no morning battle for sunbeds. We snorkelled off the beach and there was a bit to see underwater but not much. The hotel is about one mile from the main Klong Nin beach area which has a plethora of beach bars, restaurants and massage parlours. We chose to walk in and back each evening but there is always a taxi or two waiting outside the hotel if needed. I only have one real criticism. We decided to attend the Wednesday Seafood Barbecue and Fire show and turned up at the scheduled time of 7pm. There was already a large queue so we ordered a drink, joined the queue and made our order. By this time, we got the very last jacket potato and all the corn was gone. (There were still a number of people behind us in the line.) We placed our order (fish and squid) and went back to our seats. It was the one and a quarter hours until our food arrived. The staff were running round like

Vi hade ett rum på bottenplan med tillgång till poolen. Trivdes väldigt bra! Rummet hade allt vi behövde förutom morgonrock! Personalen var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma! We loved our stay at the Moonlight Bay. The hotel is newly renovated, and the room was beautiful. The whole property was very well kept with nice private beaches and pool area. Fantastic breakfast buffet (the egg station and fresh pancakes were particularly great!) with lots of fresh fruits, juices, good coffee and savory options. Really enjoyed our cocktails at the bar, overlooking the beach and with amazing sunset views. Dinner options were a little pricy compared to local alternatives in walking distance, but the food was still tasty. Fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

Staff, food, location and amenities are great. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The room we had located near check in, however, was not the best by any means. The walls are thin and the adjoining room door let in all the noise you associate with a 2 star hotel. You could hear every step the people above made. Our balcony was also directly in the line of sight for the walking path to the beach and restaurant. Every single guest in the hotel could look right into our room. Ugh.

The resort was amazing!! We were shocked at how beautiful the scenery was, the ocean bar, and a little river that flows through the resort. But the best was customer service! I have never met such nice, caring, and sincere staff. They were always upbeat. My friend was in a moped accident and they went above and beyond to make sure she got everything she needed. Their English was also very good which was nice because they were willing to call the clinic for us, schedule us taxis, booked our ferry for us, and so much more. The location of the resort was also very nice. Would definitely recommend!

De hade a la carte frukost + ett mindre utbud av sötsaker och frukt vilket gjorde att man tröttnade på frukosten rätt så fort. Ett plus är dock att de erbjöd frukostbox när vi skulle resa tidigt. Personalen va väldigt hjälpsam och hjälpte oss med bland annat resa till och från boendet, tvätt och mopeduthyrning.

Die Unterkunft können wir nur jedem ans Herz legen. Das Personal ist durchweg extrem freundlich und serviceorientiert, wirklich außerordentlich nett. Nach einem kleinen Unfall mit dem Moped, welches wir über das Hotel für einen fairen Preis gemietet haben, wurden wir sehr liebevoll vom Hotelpersonal erstversorgt und unsere kleinen Wunden wurden gereinigt. Zusätzlich hat man dafür gesorgt, dass die Reparaturkosten für das Moped für uns fair ermittelt werden, sodass sich auch diese Kosten in einem überschaubaren Rahmen hielten. Das ist Service auf ganz hohem Niveau! Die Anlage erinnert fast schon an ein 4-Sterne Hotel in Griechenland. Super gepflegt und ein tolles Ambiente. Sonnenuntergänge können bequem von der Hotelbar genossen werden Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Sollten wir nochmal nach Koh Lanta reisen, werden wir wieder im Moonlight Bay einchecken. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt!

Location, location, location. The resort is a little more out of the way and you do have to get taxis everywhere but the location makes up for that in spades. With the bar right on the beach, dining and drinking were sublime. The staff were so friendly too and they make the best Long Island iced tea in Thailand!

What a wonderful hotel. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. They have made our stay so relaxed and welcoming and the setting is so stunning - cannot fault the location, the staff or the vibe they have created.

Wir hatten einen Strandbungalow, der war traumhaft. Pool und Strandbar super, alles sehr sauber. Happy Hour an der Strandbar mit Sonnenuntergang ein muss. We chose to extend our trip due to that we loved this place so much. Moonlight bay helped us with this at the front desk and over all we stayed 10 nights instead of 5. We tried some different bungalows and our favorite was the ocean view ones. The hotel is quiet and calm and is located next door to a beautiful cliff-side restaurant with amazing Tom yum. A short walking distance (or moped ride) from the hotel you find the city center with a lot of local restaurants and shops.

Den var fantastisk och vi trivdes jätte mycket. Långt ifrån stan men gjorde inget för det var möjlighet för att låna moppe och ta sig runt hela ön vilket var en tillgång. Bra städning och jätte trevlig personal som vid städning som restaurang osv. Kommer antagligen komma tillbaka i framtiden

Nice modern rooms. Far from walking street but you can take a Tuk Tuk. The hotel is quite and has nice nature. The beach is rocky but you can find a small opening for swimming. The lounge by the ocean is very nice for an evening drink. The pool is decent. You can get massages with a beautiful ocean view.
Nice modern rooms. Far from walking street but you can take a Tuk Tuk. The hotel is quite and has nice nature. The beach is rocky but you can find a small opening for swimming. The lounge by the ocean is very nice for an evening drink. The pool is decent. You can get massages with a beautiful ocean view.

Location, location, location. The resort is a little more out of the way and you do have to get taxis everywhere but the location makes up for that in spades. With the bar right on the beach, dining and drinking were sublime. The staff were so friendly too and they make the best Long Island iced tea in Thailand!

We liked the location on a small private beach and being away from the main road. Our cabin was just above the sea and beach and had a beautiful outlook. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. Breakfast was decent with choices of cereal, eggs, some (limited) fruit. We always managed to find a deckchair - it never felt too busy. Only negative was that the bathroom was a bit worn but still functional. Staff were very helpful. Good restaurants in walking distance (we didn’t have meals at the resort). Restaurants we went to were Coco Tango, Shamti Shanti, Dirty Fish. The cabins are up multiple stairs and on a hill - so you need to be mobile to stay here. We would recommend staying here - it was “comfy rustic”.

Absolutely loved this property! It was clean and absolutely beautiful!! The moon bar is the most perfect spot to grab a drink and watch the sunset. The main pool was cold and lovely. I would recommend the beach villas over the pool access suites though, that pool was quite warm. But 10/10 would recommend and stay again

An amazing hotel in a great location. The team were very kind and helpful, particularly Kookai who went above and beyond to recommend local restaurants. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and tasted great. Very good value for money. Perfect location for our trip to ‘Walking with Giants’ which was the highlight of our stay.

Moonlight Bay Resort We spent 8 nights at Moonlight Bay Resort and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is situated directly on Klong Nin Beach and has its own secluded beach. There are two pool areas and a nice restaurant and bar. We stayed in a pool view room which was a good size with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and the creek and were able to watch a great variety of wildlife from the balcony in the early evening. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of food. One tip: get a second coffee maker!! The morning coffee queue is painful! The pool and beach area are quiet and there is no morning battle for sunbeds. We snorkelled off the beach and there was a bit to see underwater but not much. The hotel is about one mile from the main Klong Nin beach area which has a plethora of beach bars, restaurants and massage parlours. We chose to walk in and back each evening but there is always a taxi or two waiting outside the hotel if needed. I only have one real criticism. We decided to attend the Wednesday Seafood Barbecue and Fire show and turned up at the scheduled time of 7pm. There was already a large queue so we ordered a drink, joined the queue and made our order. By this time, we got the very last jacket potato and all the corn was gone. (There were still a number of people behind us in the line.) We placed our order (fish and squid) and went back to our seats. It was the one and a quarter hours until our food arrived. The staff were running round like

Wir hatten einen Strandbungalow, der war traumhaft. Pool und Strandbar super, alles sehr sauber. Happy Hour an der Strandbar mit Sonnenuntergang ein muss. Personal sehr nett und immer bemüht zu helfen. Außerhalb vom Hotel wenig gutes, man muss eigentlich immer fahren oder eine größere Strecke gehen. Wir haben daher immer im Hotel gegessen, das war gut. Defizite: beim Frühstück gab es nur einen kleinen und langsamen Kaffeevollautomaten der häufig irgendwelche Macken hatte (nervig). Liegen gab es am Pool und am Strand nicht ausreichend, man musste schon früh sein um eine zu bekommen. Außerdem gab es noch weniger Auflagen als Liegen. Kaffeeautomat und Liegen sind absolut keine 4 Sterne

De hade a la carte frukost + ett mindre utbud av sötsaker och frukt vilket gjorde att man tröttnade på frukosten rätt så fort. Ett plus är dock att de erbjöd frukostbox när vi skulle resa tidigt. Personalen va väldigt hjälpsam och hjälpte oss med bland annat resa till och från boendet, tvätt och mopeduthyrning.

We loved our stay at the Moonlight Bay. The hotel is newly renovated, and the room was beautiful. The whole property was very well kept with nice private beaches and pool area. Fantastic breakfast buffet (the egg station and fresh pancakes were particularly great!) with lots of fresh fruits, juices, good coffee and savory options. Really enjoyed our cocktails at the bar, overlooking the beach and with amazing sunset views. Dinner options were a little pricy compared to local alternatives in walking distance, but the food was still tasty. Fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

We booked this hotel for six nights and checked out after one night, forfeiting nearly $1,000 in non-refundable charges in order to salvage our family vacation. We made the decision within an hour of arriving. Positives first: the rooms are actually decent for a 3-star, and the front desk staff are gracious. However, the property is ramshackle and not well-maintained. The beach is gray, rocky and full of trash. The pool is small. The food is bad - think penne arabiatte made with ketchup, terrible curries… and you’re lucky if the food that arrives in any way resembles what you ordered. The front desk attendant was concerned when we left early and asked why. When we explained about the trash on the beach, she explained that they don’t bother cleaning it during the low season. We explained that we still expect a nice stay for the money we spend, regardless of the season. FYI, just south of the hotel on Kantiang Bay and everywhere else in Southern Thailand, hospitality businesses are operating professionally during the low season. These guys just need to do better.
