Do not be bamboozled by the filtered photos and glowing reviews. There is no legit explanation of how this place has them! Our stay was the wildest bait and switch I've ever booked. You pull into a neighborhood that makes you check your door locks obsessively, then park in front of what can only be described as a landlord-special "retro remodel" of a dumpster with a vacancy sign. Someone is clearly trying to gentrify this motel and it is not landing. Next check in with a guy giving weird hostile vibes the moment you walk in. Finally the room: mystery-stained carpet, filthy, molded and red mood lighting that I assume was meant to say "mid-century chic" but instead says "rented by the hour" or "low-budget adult film set”. Walls so thin the neighbors reels were running clear though on blast until 2 a.m and the constant traffic of people going in and out of the courtyard all night long was beyond creepy. I don’t mind a budget motel for a one night crash but as a woman alone with my teen daughters I felt so unsafe that I didn't sleep a wink and spent the night on guard duty pondering if it was better to risk a long drive home in the middle of the night. I am flabbergasted at how this hotel is presented here compared to reality. One star, because the night shift guy was actually nice and zero isn't an option. Save your money, your sleep, and your faith in online reviews. If you’re interested in drug den/trap house vibes this might be the place for you!

The hotel is located in a less than favorable neighborhood in the city, but it’s also still close to lots of restaurants and bars. The parking lot and hotel itself felt fairly safe since the courtyard is gated. The hotel is really cute and comfortable and the staff was really nice. I would definitely stay again.

Do not stay here. Room desperately needs to be renovated. Extremely Disappointing – Dated, Uncomfortable, and Overpriced I honestly do not understand how this hotel has so many positive reviews. My entire stay was a massive letdown and fell well short of expectations. The safety latch on the door was just a basic chain, which made me feel uncomfortable right away. To make matters worse, the curtains wouldn't close all the way, allowing bright outside lights to shine directly into the room and making it very difficult to get any sleep. There is no air conditioning—only a fan—and the flooring is a jarring mix of cold tiles and a rough, outdated carpet patch. The bathroom felt like an old-school gym locker room. There is no bathtub, and the shower stall is tiny. The fixed showerhead is positioned so ridiculously low that I had to hold the detachable wand by hand the entire time just to wash. If you want modern entertainment, look elsewhere. The TV is not a smart TV, so streaming isn't an option—you're stuck with basic cable. Downstairs, the water fountain has such low pressure that filling a single cup takes several minutes. For the price charged, this stay was not worth it! The lack of basic comfort, privacy, and modern functionality makes it impossible to justify the cost. I would never stay here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. Save your money.
