The pool was not open looks like it has not been open in YEARS! Breakfast was ok but it end it at 9am just know that! Only half our kids got breakfast. Our family will not be staying at this hotel again.

When I booked this hotel they advertised a pool. They don’t have an operating pool. The room keys barely work. Or I have to keep getting them fixed. The air conditioner is extremely loud. The light keep flickering. The staff is very friendly by thr property is ran down and nothing seems to work quite right. The only ice machine is in the 3rd floor. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

This property is TRASH!!! The photographs are completely catfished!!! Active renovations that make this dirty place look like a complete trash. Elevators out of service. Room stinks and saw multiple ants in room. Could'nt get answer at front desk. I've contacted Expedia & was told had to wait on manager to return because front desk personneldid not have the authority to give a full refund!!!

My first stay with a Choice hotel was a treat. We were met quickly with friendly and helpful service. The rooms were ready for us upon our arrival. The hotel was remarkably clean, although we were disappointed that the pool was not in service during the visit. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Carowinds amusement park. Cracker Barrel and Quick Trip (a gas station) are within walking distance of the hotel—plenty of other restaurants are located nearby. We would stay again!

Decent place but I think they definitely should disclose that they have not had a working pool for over a year and their breakfast consists of waffles bagels yogurt and cereal. Overall the place stayed quiet and staff was nice. Again, just should disclose certain info online when searching for hotels with pools or a full breakfast that this place isn’t in that listings.

The elevator was broken! And I’m staying on the 4th floor, mind you. There’s nothing like climbing up 4 flights of stairs, to discover your key doesn’t work! And it happened more than once! Never again!

At time of arrival, walked into room, found it to be dirty. A bug on the bed, bathroom was not cleaned properly and the pool was closed. Looked as if it had not been open for the season. Highly disappointing. The staff at the desk did not seem to care.

When we walked into the room, it looked really nice. But when we walked around, there was food all over the floor. The remote to the tv didn’t work which was fine because we were there just to sleep and leave. We will not stay at this one again

Don’t think the room was cleaned sufficiently. Found some pennies in the floor so the room was probably not vacuumed and found a pen head in the bed so the sheets were probably not changed

The room was stuffy and stinky. There was very little air circulation. There was what appeared to be black mold on the air conditioner. The price was good and the room served its purpose, being a place to sleep while on our roadtrip, but it was my least favorite of the places we have stayed along the way. If you need an affordable place to stay, it will do the job.

This has to be the dirtiest hotel I have ever staying. The furniture and building was fine, but the filthy rooms were so gross we just wanted it to be the next day to check out and leave. We felt like we could get some infection of bed bugs or something it was so gross!

Worst hotel i ever stayed at. The room smelled like mildew. The bath area was tiny. Blankets on beds felt moist even after we left for hours and came back. Not sure what they had for breakfast as we didn’t waste our time going. We only came for the weekend to go to Carowinds. Next time we will stay somewhere else.

I like that the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The walls are super thin. The bed is hard as bricks. Certain guests lack self discipline nor do they discipline their children I know it's probably not a nightly thing but it is super loud through the thin walls. And I'm thinking the city of Fort Mill's official smell is weed. You get quality if you paid for it. The noise and hard beds, this motel could invest and fix. But you can't fix certain elements in society.

the trip was fine. The hotel at first glance is decent but when you get into the elevator I was afraid so I took the stairs due to the noise and motion it was making. Getting to the room, the beds were nice and made and the room itself was clean and spacious. The bathroom was decent until I tried to close the door but it wouldn’t fully close as it was mounted incorrectly. The shower head had gunk I had to clean off( hoping it was mold).

Condensation from air unit on floor above dripped loudly on our metal window ledge half the night. Bathroom door in poor condition. Shower is claustrophobic. TV impossible to figure out channels, could not use the guide. Remote had no up/down button. Bed had lots of creaking in frame. Disappointing

Was a nice and clean hotel,only issue was the pillows were small kind of look like couch pillow size and the bathroom door was hard to close and would not lock. But otherwise the room was great.

2nd floor was very loud from above floor. Kids running back and forth. Hallway noise, able to hear doors close day and night. The beds were very uncomfortable. Bathroom was way too small. Not able to access the side entrance. But the Location was great.

Air was very cold. Shower was hot and spacious. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work very well, and the floor in the bathroom could have been cleaner. Drive 21/2 hours with no phone call or email to let me know they were unable to check me on or give me my refund so we could get another hotel. Had to sleep in my car. They need to have a way of checking people I’m without being dependent on computers.

Arrived to check in, no one was available at front desk, but we could hear an employee talking to someone in another room. Rang the bell for service. Finally, the manager "Derek" said the system was down and he was unable to check anyone in. Told me I had to contact Hotels.com for refund. Hotels.com has tried multiple attempts to get ahold of the property. Derek even gave me his cell phone number to give to Hotels.com so they could contact him for a refund. When they called, it went straight to voicemail. I understand there was a hurricane and systems were down, but he had a cellphone, however it seemed he wasn't trying to notify customers nor be available for calls. Gas station right next door to hotel had power, so he had ways to charge his cellphone if needed.

The staff here is amazing. Was running late for work and breakfast had just finished, was grabbing a coffee on my way out and the lady cleaning up let me grab a couple grab quick snacks for the day before putting them away. And on check out she remember me and missing breakfast again offered a couple coffee cakes. Talk about going above and beyond. What a great staff. Will definitely be back

The hotel was super quiet and convenient. Rhonda, the front desk clerk couldn't have been nicer. She was so helpful with her recommendations. The next morning she knew me by first name. I was so impressed with her.

We had a very unwelcoming check in from the man on reception, especially after long day and a late arrival. No greeting or eye contact and mumbled questions. Even as native English speakers it was hard to understand. Fortunately the lady in the morning was clearer and more friendly. The room cleanliness was satisfactory. It was a ground floor room, but the window had been left unlocked. If we had not realised it would have been a potential security risk for both our room/belongings and the hotel. Bathroom was tired and dated. There was lots of dirt and stains on the back of the toilet door. Easy walk to Carowinds, aside from no easy crossing points. We prearranged with the hotel to leave the car in their car park, which was appreciated.
We had a very unwelcoming check in from the man on reception, especially after long day and a late arrival. No greeting or eye contact and mumbled questions. Even as native English speakers it was hard to understand. Fortunately the lady in the morning was clearer and more friendly. The room cleanliness was satisfactory. Absolutely horrible check in process. Myself and a few other patrons checking in had to walk back behind the desk into a back room to wake up the staff member that was supposed to be working the front desk. This was approximately 9:15pm so not terribly late. Once the staff member finally did wake up he appeared very groggy and under the influence. I would NEVER recommend this facility. I had initially considered dialing 911 as it took a very long time to arouse this staff member.

The man at check in was rude. When we came into the lobby he was getting on the elevator and said he’d be back. Came back and basically said “what do you need?”. No welcome or anything. When I asked about a deposit, he just pointed to a sign instead of answering my questions. Very dry and rude. The room was dirty. Black stains on mattress and a toilet that barely flushed. The place was clean and convenient to Carowinds theme park. All rooms seem to have showers only. I would like a tub. Bed was very comfortable. Heat was well managed.

It felt like this hotel was built as something else and was changed into a Sleep Inn. We skipped breakfast because it ended so early in the morning. and opted for Starbucks which is walkable. The staff at the front desk was nice and welcoming. The room was clean but seemed outdated just a little. We had to move the chair in the room because it was in the way of using one side of the bed. The TV felt very small for the room and the volume on the movie channel was very low. We had to turn the TV up really loud to hear it over the loud air conditioner. I wish there was a cross walk over to Carowinds. We did not see the point of wasting $30 in parking at the park when our hotel was literally a 5 minute walk away. However, it felt very unsafe crossing the highway with no crosswalk. The hotel could offer a shuttle service but they don't.

Picked this location because it was 4 minutes away from Carowinds. I typically stay at Sleep Inns when I travel. This one was no different, clean, polite staff, comfortable beds, and nice continental breakfast options. Close to where I need to go. Would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location however quite a lot of surrounding street noise, etc. The area doesn’t feel very safe and only a couple of the staff members were friendly. Would not return based on the amount of nearby hotel options in the same price range.

The property for what the price is to hook a room is very nice! The beds are comfy and the room itself is just what you need. If you’re looking for something luxurious, this is not it. We like to stay here whenever we go to Carowinds just because it is very basic. Also, if you stay here in the near future, know they are doing renovations so currently they do not have breakfast. But there is a Cracker Barrel por gas station next door if that’s something that you want. The only negative I have is that housekeeping was knocking on our door that had the “Do not Disturb” sign outside at 930 AM when checkout is at 11. Other than that, all the staff was wonderful and so was our time there!

We specifically chose this property because it stated free breakfast. NO BREAKFAST AT ALL. There was alot of construction going on that was not stated. It woke us up very early every day. It was an awful time. We was very disappointed.

Everything was OK except for the breakfast. There was very little to eat & no napkins & nobody there to ask for help. In short, do not stay there for the breakfast. It was very bad. The price was not the greatest value.

We stayed here with a group of teens the night before going to Carowinds. We were unaware that the pool was closed and that was disappointing. Also, breakfast was not as advertised. Cereal and a waffle maker. Terrible. The staff was kind. The room was satisfactory. The location great.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was ok, but I am diabetic so I ate an activia yogurt but it’s only 4 grams of protein. They had no other protein. The pool has not even opened. Disappointed with that. It is very close to Carowinds

We have stayed here a couple times to go to Carowinds and will definitely stay again. For the price range we have paid it is a solid place to stay. Housekeeping does a phenomenal job. Daily cleaning with plenty of towels (and with a family of 4, we are not used to that!) and supplies. The breakfast is iffy but once again, acceptable for the price. Basically all carbs, no protein. The staff were all great. The beds are quite firm. It feels clean and safe.

Booked 2 adjoining rooms for a 4 day stay. When checking in were told no adjoining rooms - our rooms were across the hall from each other. Ok, we can make that work. Get into the rooms and 1 smelled of wet mold so bad - went down to change rooms. The next room they gave me was better, but still had a smell. Cranked the AC down and prayed it would eliminate the stench. It did get better by the 2nd day. the pool was closed and not noted in the notes when i booked the room. Breakfast is cereal, fruit, waffles, and pastries - it wasnt bad. Most of the employees were helpful, but some not so much.

I always stay here and have for the past 10 years. Clean comfy n safe. Also walking distance to QT and Culver’s. Which is a bonus. A manager Rhonda is amazing
