I give this hotel a "10" for its location in the city. It is a 5 minute walk to the Frontinac Hotel and the Dufferin Terrace. The front desk staff is only there until 6:30pm and there is no elevator as it is a "Historic" hotel so be prepared to carry your own bags up the steps. The internet connection was essentially non-existent and there was no servicing of the room to refill coffee pods, make the bed etc. Definately interested in returning to Quebec City, but will be staying elsewhere.

The location was fantastic. We also loved the rooftop patio. We could walk to all the restaurants in Old Quebec City. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location. You can see the Citadel up on the hill and mere steps from the boardwalk. But there is no parking at the hotel. It took us a bit to find sufficient parking.

The only reason the hotel got a good instead of excellent was the lack of an elevator. My wife and I have mobility problems and going up and down stairs is a problem. Great experience otherwise.

This small boutique hotel is located very conveniently for walking to all attractions, but it is best to arrive by public transit in busy times like Christmas, as there is no parking for vehicles. We drove around fruitlessly for 35 minutes as all parking lots were completely full. Park elsewhere and arrive by cab.

It’s a boutique hotel, quaint converted house located across park from Chateau hotel. Rooms accessible by stairs, no elevator. Otherwise stay was comfortable and easy access to restaurants and sightseeing. On the pricey side considering that parking is in nearby city garage at additional cost.

The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff member who worked at reception was friendly and courteous. The bathroom was tiny, shabby, and poorly ventilated, so the tile grout was very stained with mildew. As well, it was nearly impossible to regulate the water temperature in the shower, and it alternated between scalsing and freezing without warning. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay.

A good location in the upper old town next to the famous Chateau Frontenac hotel, with other hotels very close. Easy walk to restaurants, bars and cafes in the old town. Check in and out was very straightforward. Hotel not manned 24/7, but key given for front door, which was locked overnight. Room was simple and small, with a strange smell that we eventually attributed to the drains in the en suite. The cleanliness was poor, with the room quite dusty and in need of a deep clean.

Bed mattress cover was filthy. Looked like there was a urine stain on it and it had hair all over it. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Would recommend umbrellas on rooftop patio. View is amazing and it’s close to everything. Bathroom was very small and bathroom sink was outside the bathroom however that didn’t impact our stay. I felt it added to the charm of the hotel.

The location was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately the shower was gruesome - floor tile missing and grout completely mold covered. What we would have given for a bottle of Tilex! The furnishings were more classic Googwill than classic antique in addition to serving no discernible purpose other than to take up space. There weren't nearly enough electrical outlets. Oh and did I mention no elevator. It was a mixed bag of extremes which I would not like to experience again at any price.

Strengths: The location is great - very close to the river, the funicular, the Christmas Market, and has a view of the Hotel Frontenac. Our room was warm and toasty, and the beds were quite comfortable. The stay was quite affordable. Weaknesses: The property is pretty shabby. Our room was spacious but sad. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The hotel doesn't offer a breakfast option, and it was a bit of a walk to coffee and a croissant during our snowy, windy, freezing December stay. Perhaps it would be fine in warmer weather.

My husband and I stayed in Room 3, which was on the second floor. The hotel is older but charming. Easy check in and out with the front desk. Our room was clean and spacious with a mini fridge. Comfortable bed. The windows did not look out on anything, but we did not mind. Easy walk to Chateau Frontenac and the promenade. Garage parking was two blocks away, and plenty of restaurants around. We would stay again!

This was a great place. Very close to both the Chateux Frontenac and the Plains of Abraham. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby in Old Quebec. The only downside that we had was that both my boyfriend and I are tall guys and we had the basement with a private bathroom. The basement is NOT for tall people as their is exposed pipes and air ducts that change the height of the space all throughout, dangerously so

Love the unique style of the hotel. The room we were staying was roomy with two queen beds and beautiful views from the windows. The location of the hotel is excellent: the hotel itself is quiet, but all popular areas are within short walking distance. Public transportation is not that accessible though. Taking a taxi or Uber would be easier to get to the airport.

Our stay was great. This hotel is an amazing value, so much character, close and walkable to everything, affordable parking just a few minutes away and it was quiet and comfortable. We will be returning for sure. The room was airy with big windows. Very old world yet clean and cozy with a view of the Frontenac and the river from our windows facing the park.

The noise from upstairs was unbearable. I am sure the guests above me was not trying to make noise the whole night but once they walk, the floor made quite a bit of noise. Since the reception is not 24 hours and you cannot even raise the problem with them.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. No staff onsite after 6 pm but we had access to supplies if needed. Wonderful spot for walking Old Quebec. Room was large and comfortable. Beds are very soft… good for me but not my husband. Umbrellas provided but most were broken…. bring your own lol. Coffee in room was excellent and no extra charge. Very pleased overall.

Alex was great to deal with and very helpful during our stay. This is a beautiful older hotel right near the Frontenac and the St. Lawrence River. The area is safe for everyone. They will do their best to accommodate your needs. I highly recommend this small hotel in Old Town.

Hotel is old and basic, but is a fantastic value for its amazing location, it’s right next to the Chateau and the Funicular. The owner is lovely and is there during the daytime, property is self serve during evenings. FYI, there is no elevator or anyone to help with luggage if you need it and stairs are steep. Area is VERY safe and quiet.

The location of this Manoir is excellent! You can technically see the St Lawrence river from the street, walk to Plains of Abraham and the Residence of the Gov General, Chateau Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace, the Funicular to the lower town among others. Lots of dining options and the staffs were sooo accommodating! We arrived after 7pm from our flight and the self check-in process was smooth, instructions on how to enter the Manoir was clear. Recommended! We’d stay here again!
