What a great stay at The Lakeside! I give it 5 stars for the rare-in-Canada pros listed here, but there are a few cons. Cons: -Cost: but I must say it is a great place that deserves charging more than the average hotels. I guess the issue is that even the below-average ones are very expensive in Canada, increasing all places' rates; -Pool hours: during the Summer, I would strongly prefer that the pool would be open until 8pm, at least, for overnight guests only. If the issue is pool service (food & drinks), I believe there is no need for the pool to have service until the end. 6pm is enough for the service - like it is now. -Bed: The only downside at the room is the bed that, having an iron frame, made a noise everytime I moved during the night. A bit disturbing. Pros: -Service: outstanding! From the friendly front staff to the restaurant servers and pool staff, everyone has a smile for you and makes you feel appreciated! -Pool: amazing! Water temperature was great, size is good (but it gets crowded on a sunny day of Summer), many chairs (staff went above and beyond to find me a place), very nice environment! -Restaurant: service was awesome, food was tasty (calamari, burger' salad was 100%, pesto pizza...) and the view.... wow! Unforgettable. At night, the place gets charming lighting, cozy tropical vibes. The mosquitoes? Not welcome! But it is expected since we're right by the lake. The bug sprays offered are appreciated! -The whole place decor: OUTSTANDING! Top notch!

Overall, I thought the property was very lovely and finished very nicely. The patio at the back overlooking the water is beautiful. One issue with the hotel is that they have a speaker on the outside of the office building that plays loud music all day until 9pm. I understand that it is the same music that is around the pool but it is disruptive to the rooms that are close to the office. The other issue is that it is very dark in the bathroom, it could use a bit more lighting.

Adorable spot. Loved the room we booked (the 10) which had great light. It was a quick walk to Wellington’s main strip and the Drake which was also great. Excellent base for time in the county, even if the pool was the closed for the season.

Only thing I would suggest is extending your pool hours. I wanted to take a 9 AM dip before I checked out and also wanted to take a dip just after dinner and it had closed so that's all I would advise may be extending to 8 AM to 8 PM especially through the summer.

The pool was full of people and not relaxing. They allow people who are not staying at the hotel to have day passes to the pool so it gets busy. Hotel guests are not given precedence for lawn chairs or pool beds so it’s first come first served even for those who are staying at the hotel. The hotel guests should be able to reserve the pool beds and loungers with prioritization given to them. Bathroom had a strange smell and the room was not ready at the check in time. We were not even offered a free drink by the pool while we waited for the room to be ready. For the price you pay, the service is below standard and the overall experience was not comparable to other hotels within the same price range both locally and internationally. Lots of room to improve on basic service.

Very nice property but not a place to go in the off season for the price that they charge! No pool, restaurant because of the season totally understand that but they should adjust their pricing the rooms are small very clean but can hear the noise from the other rooms.

The service onsite was very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are not soundproof. We were there on weekdays where the motel was not full, it was always us and one other guest. For some reason they decided to put all occupied rooms right next to each other even though there were so many other empty rooms. You could hear anytime someone walked around in the room next to you. Another thing, as a light sleeper the fireplace in the room woke me up every time time it turned on and was turning off. So I woke up about 5-7 times both nights. The hot tub on site is not free for guests and comes at an additional cost which was disappointing since the room already cost quite a bit. We were there during the Fall so we had less access to all their amenities for the same price people pay in the summer for akk access to amenities. Their pool and on site restaurant/bar were all closed. The area the motel is located in is walkable so it is very convenient which I do appreciate. That being said, it is a small town so everything is closed very early. Overall, the service was good and I do believe the spot is beautiful by the water, with a modern interior design however I do not believe it is worth the price that I paid. I think if they were to offer more services for guests in the fall and soundproof the rooms better, perhaps the price could be justified.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lakeside Motel in Prince Edward County, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! My wife and I stayed at the Lakeside Motel for 5 nights as a Fall getaway. The location and grounds are wonderful! The room was smaller than expected but was comfortable and clean. The service was fantastic! Overall a perfect choice for our getaway and we especially enjoyed being able to walk to great restaurants in Wellington.

The property was very clean. It was a quiet place to relax. The food was very good at their restaurant but on the upper scale of prices. The pool was beautiful and there were lots of loungers. There was no breakfast until 11 and the town on Wellington was limited to breakfast options. There is a fridge in the room so you could bring food for a breakfast option. The staff were very friendly.

What an absolute gem of a place. We stayed for one night to finish our vacation in the county, family of four with a teenager and 8 year old. We all loved the Lakeside Motel! The room was comfortable with everything we needed and nice modern decor. The pool area is amazing and the restaurant served great food with a beautiful view. We will definitely be back.

Very impressed with lakeside motel. One of the coziest rooms I’ve even stayed in. There’s something nice about being able to walk right out the door and be on your way in PEC. Pool area and lakeshore look excellent for summer
Very impressed with lakeside motel. One of the coziest rooms I’ve even stayed in. There’s something nice about being able to walk right out the door and be on your way in PEC. Pool area and lakeshore look excellent for summer

Very nice property but not a place to go in the off season for the price that they charge! No pool, restaurant because of the season totally understand that but they should adjust their pricing the rooms are small very clean but can hear the noise from the other rooms.

Très bel endroit, comme sur les photos. Le personnel est très sympathique. Seul Vol le bruit : les chambres sont tes mal isolées et il n”y a pas de rideaux aux fenêtres, seulement des volets… dommage lorsque l’on souhaite avoir un peu d’intimité en journee

My wife and I stayed at the Lakeside Motel for 5 nights as a Fall getaway. The location and grounds are wonderful! The room was smaller than expected but was comfortable and clean. The service was fantastic! Overall a perfect choice for our getaway and we especially enjoyed being able to walk to great restaurants in Wellington.

The service onsite was very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are not soundproof. We were there on weekdays where the motel was not full, it was always us and one other guest. For some reason they decided to put all occupied rooms right next to each other even though there were so many other empty rooms. You could hear anytime someone walked around in the room next to you. Another thing, as a light sleeper the fireplace in the room woke me up every time time it turned on and was turning off. So I woke up about 5-7 times both nights. The hot tub on site is not free for guests and comes at an additional cost which was disappointing since the room already cost quite a bit. We were there during the Fall so we had less access to all their amenities for the same price people pay in the summer for akk access to amenities. Their pool and on site restaurant/bar were all closed. The area the motel is located in is walkable so it is very convenient which I do appreciate. That being said, it is a small town so everything is closed very early. Overall, the service was good and I do believe the spot is beautiful by the water, with a modern interior design however I do not believe it is worth the price that I paid. I think if they were to offer more services for guests in the fall and soundproof the rooms better, perhaps the price could be justified.

What a great stay at The Lakeside! I give it 5 stars for the rare-in-Canada pros listed here, but there are a few cons. Cons: -Cost: but I must say it is a great place that deserves charging more than the average hotels. I guess the issue is that even the below-average ones are very expensive in Canada, increasing all places' rates; -Pool hours: during the Summer, I would strongly prefer that the pool would be open until 8pm, at least, for overnight guests only. If the issue is pool service (food & drinks), I believe there is no need for the pool to have service until the end. 6pm is enough for the service - like it is now. -Bed: The only downside at the room is the bed that, having an iron frame, made a noise everytime I moved during the night. A bit disturbing. Pros: -Service: outstanding! From the friendly front staff to the restaurant servers and pool staff, everyone has a smile for you and makes you feel appreciated! -Pool: amazing! Water temperature was great, size is good (but it gets crowded on a sunny day of Summer), many chairs (staff went above and beyond to find me a place), very nice environment! -Restaurant: service was awesome, food was tasty (calamari, burger' salad was 100%, pesto pizza...) and the view.... wow! Unforgettable. At night, the place gets charming lighting, cozy tropical vibes. The mosquitoes? Not welcome! But it is expected since we're right by the lake. The bug sprays offered are appreciated! -The whole place decor: OUTSTANDING! Top notch!

Always love our stay here. The place is beautiful and the staff and owners are always so welcoming. This place will always have a special place in our heart. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in the county when we visit again. Can’t wait to go back next year.

The pool was full of people and not relaxing. They allow people who are not staying at the hotel to have day passes to the pool so it gets busy. Hotel guests are not given precedence for lawn chairs or pool beds so it’s first come first served even for those who are staying at the hotel. The hotel guests should be able to reserve the pool beds and loungers with prioritization given to them. Bathroom had a strange smell and the room was not ready at the check in time. We were not even offered a free drink by the pool while we waited for the room to be ready. For the price you pay, the service is below standard and the overall experience was not comparable to other hotels within the same price range both locally and internationally. Lots of room to improve on basic service.

We stayed one night for our anniversary. This special occasion was shared with the motel when we booked. There was no acknowledgment by them during our stay that this was a special anniversary. We booked a room with a fireplace intentionally; when we arrived the fireplace did not work. The maintenance woman was so rude and shamed us for even wanting to use it. She said she could call maintenance guy but he would have to come from his home, emphasizing the inconvenience so we didn’t get to use it. Very rude and unhelpful. Otherwise the room was nice and liked the Le Labo products. Motel is in a good location and has a nice pool (as long as you don’t mind loud techno music in the afternoon ~ not my vibe). Restaurant food is disappointing ($30 burger was cold). Courtney at the pool was unhelpful and unpleasant. Made us go to the office to get towel coupons even though we were guests and made a big deal about me holding my wristband instead of wearing it. Overall decent place but definitely not luxury and not worth the $. Will not stay again.

Brian the manager was incredible, we stayed for 1 one night on a beautiful February day - he was looked after us by serving drinks and starting bon fires by the water. The Place was clean and well maintained. Great location! was quiet but it was off season so I'd assume in the summer months that place would be hopping as its set up for a very social scene. Great stay! Thanks Brian!

Overall, I thought the property was very lovely and finished very nicely. The patio at the back overlooking the water is beautiful. One issue with the hotel is that they have a speaker on the outside of the office building that plays loud music all day until 9pm. I understand that it is the same music that is around the pool but it is disruptive to the rooms that are close to the office. The other issue is that it is very dark in the bathroom, it could use a bit more lighting.

The Host Brusb was very personable. Very clean rooms. Great restaurants and location on the Lake. Close to bike trail. Did have to drive a fair bit to get to Provincial parks.

Adorable spot. Loved the room we booked (the 10) which had great light. It was a quick walk to Wellington’s main strip and the Drake which was also great. Excellent base for time in the county, even if the pool was the closed for the season.

Le coin restaurant pourrait être améliorer pour répondre à l'excellence suggéré par le prix de l'hôtel: chaise et table en metal peu confortables qui ne donnent pas envie de s'attarder et de profiter de la vue comme nous l'avions espéré. Le menu laisse à désirer : peu de choix.

What an absolute gem of a place. We stayed for one night to finish our vacation in the county, family of four with a teenager and 8 year old. We all loved the Lakeside Motel! The room was comfortable with everything we needed and nice modern decor. The pool area is amazing and the restaurant served great food with a beautiful view. We will definitely be back.

Brian was tremendously helpful assisting us with navigating the area. The food was delicious, and the room was pristine and quiet. Five stars! Will visit again!
Brian was tremendously helpful assisting us with navigating the area. The food was delicious, and the room was pristine and quiet. Five stars! Will visit again!

We stayed one night for our anniversary. This special occasion was shared with the motel when we booked. There was no acknowledgment by them during our stay that this was a special anniversary. We booked a room with a fireplace intentionally; when we arrived the fireplace did not work. The maintenance woman was so rude and shamed us for even wanting to use it. She said she could call maintenance guy but he would have to come from his home, emphasizing the inconvenience so we didn’t get to use it. Very rude and unhelpful. Otherwise the room was nice and liked the Le Labo products. Motel is in a good location and has a nice pool (as long as you don’t mind loud techno music in the afternoon ~ not my vibe). Restaurant food is disappointing ($30 burger was cold). Courtney at the pool was unhelpful and unpleasant. Made us go to the office to get towel coupons even though we were guests and made a big deal about me holding my wristband instead of wearing it. Overall decent place but definitely not luxury and not worth the $. Will not stay again.

The property was very clean. It was a quiet place to relax. The food was very good at their restaurant but on the upper scale of prices. The pool was beautiful and there were lots of loungers. There was no breakfast until 11 and the town on Wellington was limited to breakfast options. There is a fridge in the room so you could bring food for a breakfast option. The staff were very friendly.

We enjoyed our one night stay despite the plethora of rules. Room was clean and comfortable. The food and drinks were quite good. Pool was very refreshing however found the non stop music annoying when trying to relax. The Lakeside Motel is a neat concept but overpriced for weekends or holidays.
