Water slide was interesting for the kids. Breakfast was good. They even opened breakfast early for our softball players. Water heater that served our room must have been broken. Cold shower the second night of our stay, and then the following morning also. The hotel over booked, and we did not get the level/style of room that we originally booked.

Start of by them saying pool was down until next day, next morning they say next week. Now they let us know we can swim at the sister hotel. No hot water in our room. Waited until 12:30 A.M to still have no hot water. Next day have hot water. Shower floor was brown. Used towel to stand in it. Breakfast was burnt, bad and some had mold. All that was said was, my apologies. Won't be back.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Not until after we checked in did they inform us that they hadn’t had water all day… But it would be turned on in 30 minutes. As promised it came on, but then didn’t take long for it to go off again. There was no water until the early morning hours on the next day. Sporadically throughout the day the water would shut off and come back on again. When you would call the front desk they would say oh it’s going to be 20 minutes to come back on… Then two hours later you call and it said I was just gonna be another 30 minutes. We had an event to go to, and we ended up not being able to take showers Because there was no water. When we got back home late evening, there was still no water. Once again called down and complained. We ended up cutting our trip short and leaving in the middle of the night because we were so irritated with this whole experience…I called when we got back home from our trip to speak with the hotel informing them I would like my money back since it was a horrible experience, and they did not hold up to their end of the contract by giving us the normal amenities that you would expect at a hotel. The guy at the front hung up on me! Unbelievable! I ended up having to call the corporate office-they were nice to get my money back. Not to mention the fact the bathrooms were gross there was mouse crap under the sink-Overall, just by the looks of the room they don’t clean much! Save yourself, the headache, Spend a little bit more & stay elsewhere!

The night shift either from Colorado (didn’t get his name), SUPER helpful and so polite!! Room has patch spots that hadn’t been painted. Shower curtain was too small and water would spray out into the bathroom floor. Pool was not open. Breakfast was ok- standard eggs, bacon and biscuits

The pool heater wasn't working and we booked a two queen but ended up with one king instead. We had to use the hide-a-bed and it had a giant pee spot on it. Other than that, the room was clean. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive.

Room had a couple places that could have been cleaner..Front desk lady was great, very friendly and engaging with my daughters. Very accommodating with our needs...The pool/pool room could definitely be warmer, water was extremely cold, but somewhat understandable with the weather outside in the upper twenties...overall a great stay, have stayed at this location before and would definitely stay again..
Room had a couple places that could have been cleaner..Front desk lady was great, very friendly and engaging with my daughters. Very accommodating with our needs...The pool/pool room could definitely be warmer, water was extremely cold, but somewhat understandable with the weather outside in the upper twenties...overall a great stay, have stayed at this location before and would definitely stay again..

The shower drain was sharp and cut my daughter foot in room 227. That room is RIGHT by the fire escape everyone uses along with the pool slide so it’s louder. Pool was FREEZING cold, kids were shivering and the slide need something so that kids don’t hit their heads (mine hit their head over and over) The room was clean but I did find dog hair in my bed. Ice machine was broken on every floor all weekend long. The staff was very kind and helpful. I don’t think we will be back though.

Absolutely disappointed. We asked for a refund because the pool and slide were closed and the only reason we picked this hotel was to enjoy the time with our kids. We were never issued a refund and I know if someone cared they could make it happen. We will never be using Hotels.com again even though we’ve used them for all our travels the last 7 years or so. We never even stayed at the hotel and went for great Wolfe lodge instead.

Everything was a bit dusty & smelled musty like they don't use that room very often. It was right next to the waterslide & above the pool so it was kind of loud but that stopped before 10, so i didn't care about the noise. The shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom were half used & the lotion was empty & the bottle was also sticky. I was only there 1 night for my sons hockey tournament so i just stayed there but i won't be back.

The hotel was a great location and the staff was incredibly nice and friendly. But the room was not clean. I found a makeup case and I used Q-tip on the floor and the shower. Had pink mold like you get when you don’t wash it for a long time, and there was black Hairs all over the wall of the shower before we had even used it . The pool had a really funky smell, and there was vomit on the floor. We discovered as we were leaving. On day two the pool was shut down by the health inspector.

The staff was probably the best part of the stay. There was not a single employee that was unfriendly or unhelpful. We were booked into three rooms. One room was nice, the second had an open box of cheese it’s in a drawer and a dirty cloth in another, and the third was moldy/musty smelling and had a tv that didn’t work. The rooms need updating and room 226 needs to have mold/mildew work to figure out why it’s there.

In the room, the vent fan in the bathroom sounded like a blade was bent, and even with it off, periodically it would make a clicking sound. There were two long black hairs in the bed, the air conditioning unit did not work properly… When I set it on 69° it was freezing and went I turned it up to 70°, it was burning up in there. The bathroom door did not open all of the way. The hook on the back of the bathroom door fell off. There was hair in the sink and on the commode seat. The chairs in the dining room were literally coming apart, and the eggs for breakfast were sitting in a soup, which was really gross. Cash and Heidi were very polite but the woman that checked me in and the woman that checked me out were very rude. My daughter-in-law‘s smoke detector started going off/chirping, and when a maintenance man came to fix it, he brought the wrong batteries and never came back with the correct one. Her room was damp and very dirty, especially the bathtub. The pool was disgusting! It definitely needs chlorine added, and to be shocked, it was so cloudy you couldn’t even see the bottom. There were no towels, and we had to ask the front desk for some. I was extremely disappointed and will be visiting KC very often, but will not return to comfort Inn and suites at this location.

This is our second time staying at the property. It is always very clean and the staff was very friendly. It's a great location. Close to shopping and restaurants. The only issue we had was the noise. There was a large group at the hotel at the same time as us. The kids were running and being loud well into the evening.

The room was nice but in need of some repairs and updates. The curtains were broken and the bathroom floor was not as clean as it should be. I know they were short on help, but we stayed 2 nights and had no room service the 2nd day, so had to go down and request our own towels and supplies.

The elevator was questionable at times, the bathroom by the pool was dirty and disgusting. Our room had used a tips on the floor when we entered for the first time. Staff had as very friendly and helpful. WiFi didn’t work half of the time.

The chairs in the dining room were literally coming apart, and the eggs for breakfast were sitting in a soup, which was really gross. Cash and Heidi were very polite but the woman that checked me in and the woman that checked me out were very rude. My daughter-in-law‘s smoke detector started going off/chirping, and when a maintenance man came to fix it, he brought the wrong batteries and never came back with the correct one. Her room was damp and very dirty, especially the bathtub. The pool was disgusting! It definitely needs chlorine added, and to be shocked, it was so cloudy you couldn’t even see the bottom. There were no towels, and we had to ask the front desk for some. I was extremely disappointed and will be visiting KC very often, but will not return to comfort Inn and suites at this location.
In the room, the vent fan in the bathroom sounded like a blade was bent, and even with it off, periodically it would make a clicking sound. There were two long black hairs in the bed, the air conditioning unit did not work properly… When I set it on 69° it was freezing and went I turned it up to 70°, it was burning up in there. The bathroom door did not open all of the way. The hook on the back of the bathroom door fell off. There was hair in the sink and on the commode seat. The shower drain was sharp and cut my daughter foot in room 227. That room is RIGHT by the fire escape everyone uses along with the pool slide so it’s louder. Pool was FREEZING cold, kids were shivering and the slide need something so that kids don’t hit their heads (mine hit their head over and over) The room was clean but I did find dog hair in my bed. Ice machine was broken on every floor all weekend long. The staff was very kind and helpful. I don’t think we will be back though.

I’m not sure where to even start. I booked a suite through hotels.com. When I arrived, we were given a standard room. The front desk clerk advised that a standard room is how it came through from the web. Fine, I’ll call hotels.com and get a refund of the price difference. Well, that sounds good but upon return to the room there is no electricity. Not a single light works. Go back to the desk and am given another standard room. This one has stains on the floor and bed, paper trash on the floor, clumps of hair and dirt on the floor, mold/mildew all over the bathroom and growing in the ice bucket, dust caked on the AC return vent, wallpaper that is peeling and literally falling off the walls…then to top it all off no hot water. NONE. We let it run for 20 minutes and it never even got warm. Thankfully hotels.com relocated us. There is absolutely nothing about this hotel that I would recommend.

Upon arrival we waited about 8 minutes before anyone came to the front desk to check us in. At check in they asked if we would change rooms. I agreed as long as it was the same price. We got our key and went to the room to find it hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was not made and dirty towels in the bathroom. We went back downstairs and the guy told me he didn’t have any more rooms. I asked for him to cancel my payment and he told me I had to since I booked from a third party. I tried and since I had checked in it wouldn’t let me cancel. He then said he could get me in a queen bed. We went to the room and there were bags belonging to someone else in there along with other personal belongings. We went back down and he said he could give me a suite for the same price. He went up and checked the room before he gave us the keys. This room was great. They did make it right, but I’m not sure why he told me he didn’t have any rooms when he did have some available.

The problem wasn't with the property, which was fine. The desk clerk was wonderful. But they didn't have my Travelocity reservation. They luckily had rooms available, so the desk clerk got me one, then had to backtrack with Travelocity to make sure I didn't get double-charged. It was a hassle for both of us. Just saying.

Terrible service, I had to wait at check in desk for an hour for someone to show up and check me in. There was a line of 7 people that were also waiting. Checked me into a room already occupied by another guest requiring me to go back down and wait again to get a different room and key. Was suppose to be a non smoking facility but reeked of marijuana.

This is our second time staying at the property. It is always very clean and the staff was very friendly. It's a great location. Close to shopping and restaurants. The only issue we had was the noise. There was a large group at the hotel at the same time as us. The kids were running and being loud well into the evening.

My kids always enjoy staying here for baseball tournaments…the location is convenient as it’s close to a major highway making it a quick drive to the parks we play at. The kids love the water slide and the staff have always been friendly.

Great experience! Loved the front desk staff and breakfast staff was great as well. We had waffles, cereal, sausage, bacon, eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast. There were also pastry options. The pool was heated and the kids had a blast going down the slide. Will definitely be using this hotel in the future.

Start of by them saying pool was down until next day, next morning they say next week. Now they let us know we can swim at the sister hotel. No hot water in our room. Waited until 12:30 A.M to still have no hot water. Next day have hot water. Shower floor was brown. Used towel to stand in it. Breakfast was burnt, bad and some had mold. All that was said was, my apologies. Won't be back.

They were doing remodeling in the elevator area so walking on drop clothes is not ideal. The ice machine did not work on 3rd floor where we were. They obviously had some kind of water damage or something but the outside of the building was rotted away the rooms that were affected windows open and the drapes hanging out. Very bad look. Coffee pot in room the plastic holder that holds the coffee did not fit and I had to hold it the whole time only 1 coffee cup in the room so I had to go get more. The hot breakfast was cold and eggs dried out needless to say we didn’t have breakfast there anymore. The staff was very polite when we checked in.

This property was ok on cleanliness. We only had one towel and no shampoo the first night, but the front desk took care of it. Bed was comfy and breakfast was excellent though.

For animal friendly it is a very clean hotel. Our room had a dog odor that was gone after we ran the air. Staff was very friendly and super quick to refill breakfast.

Very nice place. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I have to say the breakfast was very good and had lots of items that could easily be taken with you on the go along with items that you could sit down and enjoy. Fresh lemon water, coffee and tea in lobby. Very nice to get a cool drink after driving 3 hours.

We had to stay here for a couple of nights due to a very bad storm. The front desk clerk was very polite and extremely helpful. I had my elderly mother with me and she made sure to put her on the first floor which I really appreciated. Rooms were clean. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I have traveled to 59 countries and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. This is the finest hotel experience I have ever had the pleasure to experience, mainly on account of the staff, who went above and beyond in ways that could probably only be found here - in Shawnee, Kansas - with these people. The room was also beautiful and the pool simply needs to be experienced, but the whole thing of simply more than the sum of its parts. Thank you.

I tried to call before arrival and it went straight to voicemail. I guess the phone has been down. Seems that might be important for customer service. Wanted to use the pool and waterslide in the morning before checkout. It doesn’t open until 10 and check out is at 11. What the heck!?!

Did not have a chance to try the pool, but it looked like the hotel had a water slide that came out and then pack into the building. Room was clean but the door to the bathroom was hard to close all the way. Elevator also made a weird studdering sound when hitting the ground floor, like something was catching.... But overall, stay was great. Fast check in, full hot breakfast set up to include waffles, eggs, biscuits/gravy, close to other dining options off site as with Walmart/target within 5-7 minutes. Right off 435.
