The WiFi only allows three devices. The wifi is weak and slow. The cellular signal is weak for much of the town.

The room was very comfortable. Great view of the ocean. I had a one bedroom suite. Only issue was internet was down the whole time I was there. Ice machine was broke and the phone in the room was not working. This they said was because of the storm that they had earlier. I would stay there again as it was very comfortable. Had a fireplace insert in the room also.

Clean and neat and the view is to die for. Getting to the beach is tough going down a very steep hill but if you are young nothing you can’t handle. Ours had a small kitchen and a gas fireplace for heat.

Loved the fireplace for heating. Great ocean view. The ocean is loud - if you like that noise, easy to sleep through. The office isn’t always open - made it a bit harder to check in, there is a key drop box to check out if you leave before 10:00am.

Although the place is definitely dated, that's what gives it it's charm!! I stayed in a 2 queen with kitchen & fireplace, room 109, which had a breathtaking view of the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped with dish and flatware, as well as pots & pans, bring your own oil & spices & pantry needs. The room was quite large, compared to most others I have stayed in on the Coast, which have been many. Hotel room prices have soared over the past 2 years, and this one was one of the lesser expensive, especially for what you get. The room did have a musty smell, but that's to be expected for its age and having the ocean breeze cascade in when the windows are open!

The rooms are old. But we knew that coming in. We have stayed here before. The views are spectacular from any room and you are right in the middle of everything to do in Lincoln City. The bed was comfortable and the shower/hot water worked. We really needed just a place to sleep, so it worked for us. FYI: No AC. So that might be a problem in the summer.

We love to stay at the Ester Lee. Great value: The rooms are like little cottages with a kitchen & dining table. There is a sofa in front of the full width picture window looking on the beach & ocean. We saw whales and sea lions. Downside for 70 people was the room was the farthest away from the dog area and at the top of a steep flight of stairs. We have always enjoyed walking down to the beach from the Ester Lee, but no more. When we inquired at the office, we were told beach access was no longer available and we had to drive to the public access near Moe's restaurant.

The view is amazing. Rooms are clean. It is a motel, our room had a tiny shower with a shower head the size of a quarter at 5 feet. The front desk closes at 8 and when our fire alarm started beeping the annoying out of battery alarm at 830, neither text nor emergency number were answered.

Ocean view was beautiful but the mold in the room was not. It was in the bathroom and window of our studio. My daughter and I are really sensitive to mold and she is now suffering from it. The kitchen cast iron pan was disgusting and had to be washed plus most of the dishes we used were washed first, then agin after. There was black hair in our sheets of both beds plus hair in the bathroom. The shower leaked out so bad it flooded the floor. I had to get multiple floor mat towels as it drenched each one. The walk to the beach is a workout, which was fine for my kids wearing them out helped out.

Great views but for a deluxe cottage it was disappointing, very dirty the carpets need a good clean and looked like the shower head was missing , windows were filthy so that ruined the views , the electricals were amazing , spliced and taped how it passed code is amazing , didn’t bother to complain as it was only to sleep in ,,but doubt would stay again as for the cost you could get a clean place elsewhere !

This is my first stay at this location. I, like a dummy, did NOT read the latest Google reviews. They tell the whole story. First, the view is hard to match - 10 stars! The rest, not so much. We booked a cottage which, based on the description and photos, was well equipped. Unfortunately, the room has not been updated since the 1940s,it was run down, the bed SAGGED! The door, the locks, stove, microwave and refrigerator were rusted and nasty. The room, located down a long flight of narrow, slippery stairs, was freezing. Turning on the gas fireplace dis nothing, it was also corroded and non-functional. We finally found a remote that turned on a cheap electric fireplace that was half hidden by the old couch. Still the room was freezing. In an attempt to salvage the experience we tried to heat some dinner in the microwave, only to have the power for the whole room for out. The front desk person explained that the cottage still had 1940s wiring and we couldn't turn on so many things! Yeah... Your choice, lights, heat or microwave! We demanded, and after some time received a new room in a more modern part of the motel (note - the clerk told us when we arrived that no other rooms were available, in spite of the fact that it was a Thursday afternoon and the parking lot was empty.) On the positive side, the new room was comfortable and modern, though the TV did not work. We stayed both booked nights, mainly because the view is so special from this location.

The first disappointment was the office, - a stale old man's smell. When we entered the room we realized that the office was not so bad. Our room had a disgusting, incredibly nasty stale stench. The excellent, delightful view from the window on the rocky ocean shore was only positive, BUT terrible stinkiness couldn't keep us in the room to enjoy view. Kitchen appliances and other equipment are extremely old. To our surprise, with the exception of a broken coffee maker, everything works properly, including plumbing. Very badly smelling kitchen towels. Old, darkened with time, washed-out bed linen. Absolutely unjustified cost for such a low level.We will never return here for a vacation. This is the most disgusting experience for our family.

Beautiful view! My room was spotless!

I will say the view from room was wonderful. However this location is right off hwy, so there is traffic noise and very challenging to pull safely onto hwy when leaving property. No AC in so very warm and stuffy in the rooms. The provided fan in room looked as it had never been cleaned. I pulled huge dirt/dust balls out of it. The amount of guck and grime in the window seals is unacceptable and no safety features on windows. No screens. Not kid friendly. Our concerns were brought to their attention quickly explaining our safety concerns and below standards of cleanliness and comfortability. Unfortunately they were not willing to refund all or even partial of the reservation(2 nights). Was told the concerns provided did not quailify for any type of compensation. We took the loose and went elsewhere.

I just booked a 2 night stay here for my fiancé and myself. Upon checking into our room (106) we noticed human hair (that did not belong to either of us) all over the bed, sand at the foot of the bed as well as inside the shower. There was blood on the bathroom floor and the entire room was covered in dust. After going to the front desk to ask for a clean room, the lady working there seemed very unbothered, did not offer an apology, and told us “Well people have been taking their dogs into the rooms and we can’t discriminate” referring to the human hairs on the bed. Which is extremely uncomfortable, whether or not people are bringing animals into their rooms, these spaces should still be clean before someone else checks in. Once she found an available room to move us to, she said “Cross your fingers, let’s hope this one is clean”, again this is extremely uncomfortable to hear at all, but especially when you’re paying almost $400 to stay somewhere. After checking into our second room (208), we found more human hair in one of the beds, everything had dust on it, our blinds were broken by the front door so I felt like people could see into our room, and the toilet would not flush.

The view is amazing. It’s nice to have a kitchen and I would have never guessed that I had neighbors based on how quiet it was. The only downside is that there wasn’t WIFI which made me have to travel to get my work done.

If you book a stay here be prepared for VERY old school accommodations (picture your grandmother's house from the 1940s). It's quaint, which is sweet, but needs to update minor issues, such as plumbing. I had an ice cold shower and was informed by maintenance that the cause was the next door neighbors having all showered prior to me, thus using up all the hot water (was I staying in a dorm?!). We had window shades that were broken (but replaced immediately) a window that couldn't be opened - but was fixed immediately, and of course, the ice cold shower. The beds are old and if 2 people try to sleep on a queen bed, they will meet in the middle -Ha! This could be beneficial depending on with whom you choose to sleep. I will say that every issue was met with a kind response and some remedies (none for the shower and the bed), but it wasn't exactly relaxing to have to call maintenance every few hours about something new. The view and the lovely beach (a short walk down the hill) are probably worth the hassle of the stay, just be aware of what you're walking into.

This is definitely an older establishment but you just can't beat the amazing view! The appliancesay be old, but the bed is comfy, the shower is hot and the staff is friendly. And you aren't going to find a better price for such an amazing view. If you are looking for a 5 (or even 4 star) luxury hotel... This is not it. But if you are looking for a nostalgic place with everything you need for a relaxing stay with a beautiful view. You can't go wrong.

Rooms although older have been recently updated, very clean, beautiful ocean view, internet was super fast and front desk check-in help was excellent very friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Rooms with a view of the ocean, especially from the second floor. The gas fireplace was nice and felt cozy on a chilly summer day. We prefer the cottages to the hotel rooms, cozier, spacious, kitchen facilities, old but well-kept.

View fantastic. Room too tight. No real closet space, no counter, I’ve never seen such a small shower head, could use new flooring.

Older motel but newly remodeled and was what we were looking for. Great large corner window and two other large adjoining windows to see the ocean which was about 100’ below us that made it feel we were right on top of it. Fully stocked kitchen along with the nice size living room furnished with a couch, 2 smaller chairs and a small kitchenette table with two chairs. Parking was excellent having being about 20 feet to the room, all parking was that way. Great experience and will go back.

ABSOLUTE BEST stay ever! Yes, there's stairs, but in Room #4 you are above the beach with open windows towards the sunset. Massive 2-person (I suppose you could fit 3) tub, color-changing electric flames, and electric fan, should you need one. Barely heard our upstairs or next door neighbors even with windows open. Staff understood we were stuck in traffic, and made sure to accommodate our late arrival. YES, fresh extra towels when we finally arrived! Fluffy nice pillows. No, we didn't bring a dog, but how lovely that there was a basket with sheets that said DOG and a blanket for after the beach.

Requested a room that was pet friendly,confirmed online with hotels.com. Arrived at the motel and attendant was very rude saying that they didnt know I needed a pet friendly room. He said, in the future call us to let us know and now I have to give you a non pet room as we are booked. He also made sure that he told me " I'm sure I'll get complaints" but I can't move you to any other room. He also told me in the future if you see that it says studio its not pet friendly like what? Are we supposed to know this? Instead of just chalking it up to provide the best customer service as they and hotels.com obviously have their settings wrong. Other than that we were happy. He needs to be trained on his service! And no there will be no future bookings!

I adore this property.. the views are stunning, and the beach access is great. This though I was taking my dying Mother for probably her last view of the Pacific Ocean she loves so much. I had requested a room with no stairs.. a representative from the property called me and we went over the best room to accommodate my Mother. I was so happy with the conversation and picking out the room for Mom. When we arrived for the weekend much to my shock my Moms room had 15 steps! The office was unable to alter the rooms, despite the fact of the prior arrangement. I was told at that time an adjustment to our bill would be made. I talked to staff when we left and again were promised an adjustment. I have called and left message's with no one calling me back, no adjustment to our bill. Needless to say I’m hugely disappointed.

Limited amenities: i.e., no ice machine (or not clearly marked in welcome sheet), Front desk closes at 8pm, so limited access to DVD rentals. Late check in time (4pm instead of 3pm), and early check out time (11am instead of noon). Even with 5-hour room turnover, our room was not ready when we checked in at 5pm.

We had a minor problem when we first checked into our room and Ben, one of the manager’s went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best…I give him a 20. We love, love, love this property. Dave, Deb, our fur babies Sophie and Ruby

The front desk person was on her cell phone and didn't greet me until after her call. Very off putting.

Awesome views from the room, spent hours watching wildlife. Close proximity to everything. Roadside units get a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning. We would stay there again !!

Good location. The walk to the beach is a steep downhill trek. That's something that should be noted.

An aged property with stunning, stunning views. We loved our stay at Ester Lee on a recent family road trip. Nicely sized room with space to spread out, the small kitchen was nice but the win was the view from the windows. Definitely an older property but it was clean and well cared for. My only complaint, if I had to mention, was the dirty windows/screen. With the ocean views being the highlight of the property it would have been nice if the windows and window screen were a bit clearer to see through. However, that's being very fussy and I assume cleaning windows by the ocean is its own special task lol. We slept peacefully, listening to the ocean waves each night. There is no direct beach access from the property but Lincoln City is easy to navigate and find your way to the beach in other areas.

The location of the hotel is simply perfect, the views from the rooms are spectacular. I’ve been staying for years here and the front desk staff is very nice, they love pets and it is close to everything. It is not a fancy place but it feels warm and the views of the ocean from the rooms are amazing.

Beautiful beachside room. No coffee—just the “coffee teabags” in room. Construction going on that has beach access closed, afirmaste route to beach makes for a fun, challenging morning run but would rate moderately difficult—not for everyone.

Excellent experience. Large room with kitchen, fireplace, and great view of the ocean. Close to excellent Otis Cafe for breakfast and lunch. We would definitely stay there again.

We have been going here for years. We always have a nice time there. We like that they have stoves in their cabins, so we don't have to eat out all the time. They are clean and comfortable.

Great view, big kitchen.

Our Cottage was almost 1k for 3 nights and it took three steep flights of stairs to get there. There was no room service of any kind (cleaning or Food), the room has a legit Prison shower, and a jacuzzi that’s falling apart. Even the trash when it got full, we had to take it out. No breakfast offered, no easy way to the beach. Only perk was the view.

Had a great time! Family suite included a kitchenette, we were able to cook a crab dinner together. So much fun!
