Quiet little gem right on the edge of a preserve. Very close to LAX. Charming place with homemade cookies and wine n cheese happy hour. Beautiful view and porch overlooking the marsh. Easy free parking.

I liked that there were several nice sitting areas both inside and outside. These were decorated in a way that gave the feeling you had been invited to stay at a friend’s beautiful home or cottage on the marsh to join them for breakfast and some bird watching. I loved it!

Loved this bed & breakfast INN... Location to the beach and the airport was the draw for our choice of hotel. We felt totally pampered and looked after. We haven't had such personal attention at a hotel for a long time. Will definitely be our first choice again!

This is such a gorgeous getaway! I absolutely loved my 5 night stay and cannot wait to return toon. Perfect location for writing. There are so many common areas both inside and out. The wine hour is delightful! Thank you for a wonderful time.

The interesting thing about this property is that it seems really expensive, but the parking is included and convenient, the breakfast is free and generous, and there's actually also a free happy hour with wine, beer, cheese, and other edibles… There are wonderful common areas for enjoying views of the wetlands, and the place is also walking distance to the beach

The complimentary breakfast was excellent, as was the complimentary happy hour. The complimentary home baked cookies were an added little pleasure. Parking was included and very convenient. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the view of the wetlands. Five great restaurants were within a five minute walk. The beach was about a 10 minute walk. There's a Metro Bike station right there where you can rent bikes for just a few dollars and bike to Venice, Santa Monica, or even Hermosa Beach. I have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful little inn tucked in by the airport with clean, welcoming rooms. The check in was easy, the free parking was a wonderful perk, and the views out over the wetlands were lovely and peaceful. The welcoming wine with cheese and crackers was ample enough for a full meal! What a relaxing way to end the day! I strongly recommend this hidden gem.

The dining room and lounge areas are also clean and charming, with a nice view of the wetlands oout back. Relatively close to beaches and Marina Del Rey. Drawbacks were limited parking options and some street noise in the street side rooms. While there are a couple of decent dining options nearby, you'll need to drive a bit to find the best options.

The breakfast buffet blew us away - so good! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The room was attractive, modern, and clean. Backing up to the Bollona Reserve and just blocks from the beach, the location is wonderful. Overall, highly recommend this lovely hotel. Bravo to the owners and staff!

The staff were kind and helpful however this place needs renovating the windows and paintwork are tired probably a post covid fatality. We only had a one night here which was enough as the toilet blocked!

The Inn is NOT what it looks like in the pictures. The pictures are VERY deceiving. The Inn is extremely tired and rundown. The staff is excellent and the parking free, on the up side. Continental breakfast is served from 7-9 each morning and there is wine, cheese and crackers at 5:00 in the evening. We didn’t partake in that but it was a nice amenity. I give this hotel 3 stars at best.

Staff was helpful & gave us good ideas on local restaurant for dinner. Room was spotless. Parking below the inn at the rear. Street out front was busy & this room was on the street, but the price was less too! Great location. Fun to explore various well- known beach cities in the are.

This was a very nice place and the room was also nice, but not as nice as I would have expected with the amount of money that we paid. We also expected that this would be close to the beach and it was not. It was in need of updating and the chair in the room was horribly stained. The tile was cracked around the jacuzzi and the fireplace paint was terribly chipped, but it was very quiet.

Clean and comfortable, great staff, felt safe. Thanks for providing free parking this was why I booked versus some other places. Would have preferred more than one bath towel per person in the room , or a good place to hang them to dry between showers. Walls are very thin. Windows did not open to get some air. Heater was finicky.

Great location. Very nice interiors; however, the room phones were not working and when upgraded to another room the fire place was not working, which was part of the upgrade. Otherwise, nice breakfasts, wine & cheese in the evenings, very nice staff, and clean facility. I'd considering visiting again.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The bed was super comfortable, the room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was helpful and attended to any need we had. The Deluxe breakfast was indeed delicious and deluxe.

We love staying at Inn Playa Del Rey when visiting our daughter at college nearby- easy to get @ LA, parking is a breeze, staff are always friendly. We enjoy the afternoon happy hour and breakfast in the am- a cozy and homelike inn. Beautiful looking out over Balboa Reserve. Be sure to ask for a room facing out the reserve and not the busy road if you want to sleep well.

Incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. Our room was on the front side facing the road and therefore a bit noisy at night, but we expected that. The room itself was lovely. Breakfast is great! Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here before and it was fine. But that time my room was not on the road side, as it is this time. What seemed like a not so busy road transformed into a freeway at around 5:30am robbing me of some much needed sleep. Also, I don’t know how big a truck just sped past but the room physically shook. I’m not exaggerating. Insist on a room on the opposite side to the road if you’re considering this hotel. Disappointing for me and my friend that’s staying in the same room directly below me.

Had 2 sinks. Even the view to the street was cool. It faced the streets but also the mountains and you could see way far. Breakfast was excellent every morning. Absolutely loved the arugula parm salad. The wine hour from 5-6 was a really cool amenity too! I. Thinking of coming back to this area just to stay here again. Loved it!

Our room was large and well appointed with a marsh view. It's amazing how quiet it is considering the freeway is right out in front. Having been here before, it was disappointing to find that there is no homemade breakfast or cookies and all happy hour ingredients come out of packages. This is because the B&B is coming into compliance with new post- Covid city/state regulations but we did not know that before booking.

Arrived late to an entrance, in the front door to a lift to the lobby. Friendly welcome. 3rd floor room clean enough but in need of TLC shutters broken, some furniture worn. Bathroom decor also tired. Fair amount of traffic noise because room was roadside. Breakfast service good nice eggs.

Lovely location, comfortable rooms and wonderful staff. Excellent breakfast! There was a problem with the air conditioning system in my room the first night. I brought it up with staff and they addressed the problem immediately. I am looking forward to staying here again.

AC was broken, called and informed the manager. Manager said they’d be there in 10-15 minutes. Manager name was Ken. He never showed up, left a message on the service. It was deleted Day team said, “sorry” and that was it no offer for anything else. The hotel itself was cute The elevator sounds like it’s going to break

I was very disappointed in my overnight stay at the Inn at Playa del Rey. I had stayed there many years ago and always looked forward to going back someday. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. They have posted excuses for not being able to cook in the building until permits are squared away, but that shouldn't mean the breakfast has to be so cheap and meager. If they are using a caterer, they should offer more than cold pancakes with faux maple syrup and overcooked scrambled eggs, especially at this price. Also the A/C in my room wouldn't stay on, and as there's no one to ask for help after 9 PM except for emergencies, I had to sleep with the windows open because the 3rd-floor room was very hot. The traffic noise was unbearable. The description says they can't guarantee quiet, but it did not say anything about some rooms being right in front of a busy intersection. I'm sad to say I won't be back.

The breakfast buffet blew us away - so good! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The room was attractive, modern, and clean. Backing up to the Bollona Reserve and just blocks from the beach, the location is wonderful. Overall, highly recommend this lovely hotel. Bravo to the owners and staff!

Afternoon happy hour with wine and cheese. Wonderful breakfast. Very comfortable bed! We absolutely LOVED our stay here. We felt like family. The staff was INCREDIBLE! 10/10! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit the LA area!!

Reception staff were better than most and helpful with orientation to the area. They left the wine bar open a little later which accomodated a slight delay in my arrival. Area has a number of good restaurants towards the ocean and the beach is lovely. The open plain behind the hotel let's you take in the environment and northerly views of LA. Breakfast station was being set up as I left at 6:30am, but coffee was already out for early departures. Very nice stay.

The complimentary breakfast was excellent, as was the complimentary happy hour. The complimentary home baked cookies were an added little pleasure. Parking was included and very convenient. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the view of the wetlands. Five great restaurants were within a five minute walk. The beach was about a 10 minute walk. There's a Metro Bike station right there where you can rent bikes for just a few dollars and bike to Venice, Santa Monica, or even Hermosa Beach. I have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful little inn tucked in by the airport with clean, welcoming rooms. The check in was easy, the free parking was a wonderful perk, and the views out over the wetlands were lovely and peaceful. The welcoming wine with cheese and crackers was ample enough for a full meal! What a relaxing way to end the day! I strongly recommend this hidden gem.

I was very disappointed in my overnight stay at the Inn at Playa del Rey. I had stayed there many years ago and always looked forward to going back someday. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. This is our second visit back to Inn at Playa del Rey. It is a lovely place. Clean and very comfortable. This stay was not as enjoyable as the last due to renovations being done and their kitchen being down. So that their breakfast and mostly the evening snack time was not the same and a little lacking. Do you hope it goes back to where it was for the next time we make plans.

I loved everything about The Inn at Playa del Rey. The room was great. The water pressure for the shower was excellent! Something I value when I stay anywhere. The bathroom was bigger than expected. Had 2 sinks. Even the view to the street was cool. It faced the streets but also the mountains and you could see way far. Breakfast was excellent every morning. Absolutely loved the arugula parm salad. The wine hour from 5-6 was a really cool amenity too! I. Thinking of coming back to this area just to stay here again. Loved it!

Our room was large and well appointed with a marsh view. It's amazing how quiet it is considering the freeway is right out in front. Having been here before, it was disappointing to find that there is no homemade breakfast or cookies and all happy hour ingredients come out of packages. This is because the B&B is coming into compliance with new post- Covid city/state regulations but we did not know that before booking.

The room was spotless and offered a beautiful sunset view. While the breakfast was simple, the quality was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The only minor downside was a noisy aircon, but since we visited at the end of June, we barely needed to use it anyway.
