One overnight stay. The hotel is in a good location opposite market square car park. Limited parking in front of the hotel. We were in room14 which has great views to the seafront. There were no toiletries provided in the bathroom which has a stepped entrance. The room is nicely decorated, but the hotel entrance lobby is a very dark brown and needs to be brightened up. Breakfast choice was limited to fresh juice and main breakfast dish cooked to order, tea or coffee. No cereals or yogurt etc. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was small but seemed to be newly renovated very clean. The shower was hot and had good pressure. We had dinner & breakfast at the hotel restaurant, both were delicious. If your coming from the states our experiences at hotel restaurants have been poor. Here in Scotland we have eaten at a few hotel restaurants and have had great food everytime. Take a walk behind the hotel allong the beach it is beautiful. The hotel is only 1.7 mikes from Dunnattar Castle allong a very nice trail along the north sea. You will also be able to see the war memoral on top of the hill. Highly recommend Number 44

Sea view with sliding door was fantastic. The room was quite tired looking with wallpaper peeling off the wall and old cupboards. Breakfast was lovely with great quality ingredients especially the haggis and black pudding. Staff were very friendly and chatty.

Hotel decor overall was ok a little old down stairs. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and sleep was a problem. The windows could be replaced giving a better seal as noise from the morning chorus of sea gulls started from 3.30am

The staff at the hotel are really great. The breakfast was great quality and excellent. The sea view from the room was beautiful but the room itself needed some attention. Clean but tired looking and an odd layout so bed a small double, which could be easily corrected removing the partition wall

Property was nice enough, but was a 75.00 place vs a 125.00 place. Wifi did not work. Sink is super oddly placed, so water ends up on floor. Bed was a giant hard lump with many lumps. Food was okay. I did not like my stroganoff as it was bland, but the Sticky Toffee Pudding was the best i had this entire week I've been travelling around Scotland.

The staff!!!! Absolutely fantastic. Warm, nothing too much bother. The food was delicious too. Great base to explore the area. I would say Stonehaven as a place was lovely with everyone I encountered very polite, helpful and “happy” to see us. Thank you for a lovely relaxing wee.

Conveniently located, clean, and quiet. As a solo female traveler, safety is a top priority, and I felt completely safe for my stay. The staff were all kind and welcoming as well! I will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

Hotel stay was booked and paid for back in June. On arrival we were questioned about non payment of room and advised it was down to paying by Amex. Never used Amex in my life , lucky i had downloaded the Expedia app to prove payment.

Just one street from the sea and 5 minutes walk to harbour or the lido, the hotel is in a great location. Excellent breakfast, quick check-in and allowed us to leave bags after we checked out.

Such a lovely team who were attentive and anticipative of my needs. The room had the essentials with an en-suite. Breakfast was also very enjoyable. The premises is by the shore which added to its sparkle. Would definitely visit again.

The room was small but seemed to be newly renovated very clean. The shower was hot and had good pressure. We had dinner & breakfast at the hotel restaurant, both were delicious. If your coming from the states our experiences at hotel restaurants have been poor. Here in Scotland we have eaten at a few hotel restaurants and have had great food everytime. Take a walk behind the hotel allong the beach it is beautiful. The hotel is only 1.7 mikes from Dunnattar Castle allong a very nice trail along the north sea. You will also be able to see the war memoral on top of the hill. Highly recommend Number 44

We had such a lovely time! Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a fantastic view. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were warm and welcoming. Thank you for such a great time x

One overnight stay. The hotel is in a good location opposite market square car park. Limited parking in front of the hotel. We were in room14 which has great views to the seafront. There were no toiletries provided in the bathroom which has a stepped entrance. The room is nicely decorated, but the hotel entrance lobby is a very dark brown and needs to be brightened up. Breakfast choice was limited to fresh juice and main breakfast dish cooked to order, tea or coffee. No cereals or yogurt etc. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Rene rom, enkel standard. Men likte stedet og personalet var veldig hyggelige. Enkelt å finne parkering i nærheten. Vi hadde dessverre ingen utsikt, neste gang hadde jeg nok valgt et rom med utsikt til sjøen om det var tilgjengelig.

For a Superior room it was very small and lacked storage. Very limited hanging space and 2 tiny drawers. En-suite was cramped, couldn’t both get in at the same time and a few broken tiles. The staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble and always happy to chat. Food was great, really tasty and plenty of it. Apparently the hotel is being upgraded and I would definitely go back, the location is ideal.

My room was small but clean. It was fine for a short stay but the tv in the room had a very poor signal and could not be used. The staff were very friendly. The evening meal and breakfast in the hotel restaurant were very nice.

L'aspetto migliore è la location, direttamente sul mare. Anche il ristorante è ottimo. Il resto è discreto, nulla di eccezionale né di terribile. L'unica vera pecca secondo me è che non ci sono ascensori e le scale sono piuttosto ripide.

We stayed on a Saturday night and the bar was far too busy to be enjoyable. First room we were given the mattress was awful, fortunately we were given another room but it was much smaller. Overall a disappointment for the price. Pictures on the website do not reflect the rooms
