This is a beautiful, well maintained and expertly furnished property. There are so many places, including the pool area, to sit, relax and listen to and watch the wildlife. It is set in wonderful grounds and extensive countryside with amazing views. We had breakfast daily which was plentiful and tasty and the service from staff was excellent throughout our stay. We did not ride, but if you are a horse rider this is a great place to stay. The nearby town of Madison (about a 15 min car journey) is delightful with a good selection of shops and restaurants and has an old town charm.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the accommodations were great! The room was spacious and the pool area was very inviting! The dinner buffet was filled with many delicious options to choose from and was very convenient. I would suggest a vent for the bathroom and possibly a mini fridge in each room. I would definitely love to return with my daughter and her friend for another stay.

the location of this place is outstanding and the grounds are delightful. It is a very peaceful place and the staff was very helpful with all of our needs. Seeing the horses in their natural environment was so relaxing. Highly recommended.

This place was amazing. I have gone twice and truly enjoyed both stays. The staff were wonderful. It is a place you can enjoy whether you ride horses or not. I used it as a B&B. It was very relaxing. I also enjoyed walking to the stables to feed the horses treats. The food is amazing. You would be surprised with the options you have to choose from. With the B&B a you have the option to include lunch and dinner with your stay if you want to. With the all inclusive horse riding pkg it was included.

The horses is why I went and was not disappointed. We were unable to ride but it was due to the weather. Breakfast was delicious and a lot of fun activities if it hadn’t rained the whole time.

Very unique horse ranch. Now I was only there for the night, kinda wished I had more time to spend because the property was beautiful. Only issue I had was that I didn't get to see anyone at check out because I had to leave so early in the morning. But not everyone is up before 5:45 am. Lots of offerings, quiet relaxing time!

Wow! What an amazing place. Beautiful, well loved and managed property. The front office manager (Karen) was wonderful and happy to give us the properties history. Dinner was well thought out and excellent. They had a spread of everything you could imagine potatoes, Ribs, chicken, beans, huge salad bar with all the fixings and desert lots of it!! I was impressed.I need to also mention the dinning room with 10 huge windos overlooking the pool, large flowering trees and the pasture of horses, donkies and ponies. I came here with my daughter for her 16th Birthday and we really enjoyed our time. The property was incredible to walk. They had geese, ducks, over 150 horses, hummingbirds and butterflies I could not ask for a nicer country ranch to visit. We will come back for sure but with friends.

This place was so beautiful, quiet, and amazing!!! I have a horse allergy and no interest in horses so I almost didn’t book but options were running low and I took a risk and I’m so glad I did!! It was so EXTREMELY clean and I could’ve easily stayed for a week and had so much fun in such a calming environment. I can’t wait to come back with my kids and stay longer to truly enjoy how put together the inn was!

He staff made an effort to make guests feel at home. The room was quiet and comfortable and offered a lovely view. Snacks and drinks were available 24/7, and the breakfast was fine. My only suggestion would be to serve the breakfast at a warmer temperature. At serving time, the food was fairly cold; not a good temperature for eggs and pancakes. The horses were gorgeous and very well taken care of.

It snowed the weekend we were there, but still enjoyed going down to the barn to spend time with the horses. They are amazing. Disappointed by the breakfast/meals that were included. We couldn't go far because of the snow, so we were limited and the meals were disappointing. Thank God they had snacks !!! The cook/ kitchen manager appeared to not want to be there and it was evident in the food she served and her general attitude (unwelcoming).

Amazing stay. What a difference from similarly priced chain hotels in the area. Wish I had more time to explore.

Very unique horse ranch. Now I was only there for the night, kinda wished I had more time to spend because the property was beautiful. Only issue I had was that I didn't get to see anyone at check out because I had to leave so early in the morning. But not everyone is up before 5:45 am. Lots of offerings, quiet relaxing time!

Karen was so helpful, my friend and I stayed at the ranch for a Con in Covington & it was just a short drive away. The ranch was beautiful and we loved all of the animals!

Wow! What an amazing place. Beautiful, well loved and managed property. The front office manager (Karen) was wonderful and happy to give us the properties history. Dinner was well thought out and excellent. They had a spread of everything you could imagine potatoes, Ribs, chicken, beans, huge salad bar with all the fixings and desert lots of it!! I was impressed.I need to also mention the dinning room with 10 huge windos overlooking the pool, large flowering trees and the pasture of horses, donkies and ponies. I came here with my daughter for her 16th Birthday and we really enjoyed our time. The property was incredible to walk. They had geese, ducks, over 150 horses, hummingbirds and butterflies I could not ask for a nicer country ranch to visit. We will come back for sure but with friends.

It snowed the weekend we were there, but still enjoyed going down to the barn to spend time with the horses. They are amazing. Disappointed by the breakfast/meals that were included. We couldn't go far because of the snow, so we were limited and the meals were disappointing. Thank God they had snacks !!! The cook/ kitchen manager appeared to not want to be there and it was evident in the food she served and her general attitude (unwelcoming).

This is a beautiful, well maintained and expertly furnished property. There are so many places, including the pool area, to sit, relax and listen to and watch the wildlife. It is set in wonderful grounds and extensive countryside with amazing views. We had breakfast daily which was plentiful and tasty and the service from staff was excellent throughout our stay. We did not ride, but if you are a horse rider this is a great place to stay. The nearby town of Madison (about a 15 min car journey) is delightful with a good selection of shops and restaurants and has an old town charm.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the accommodations were great! The room was spacious and the pool area was very inviting! The dinner buffet was filled with many delicious options to choose from and was very convenient. I would suggest a vent for the bathroom and possibly a mini fridge in each room. I would definitely love to return with my daughter and her friend for another stay.

This place was amazing. I have gone twice and truly enjoyed both stays. The staff were wonderful. It is a place you can enjoy whether you ride horses or not. I used it as a B&B. It was very relaxing. I also enjoyed walking to the stables to feed the horses treats. The food is amazing. You would be surprised with the options you have to choose from. With the B&B a you have the option to include lunch and dinner with your stay if you want to. With the all inclusive horse riding pkg it was included.

The horses is why I went and was not disappointed. We were unable to ride but it was due to the weather. Breakfast was delicious and a lot of fun activities if it hadn’t rained the whole time.

He staff made an effort to make guests feel at home. The room was quiet and comfortable and offered a lovely view. Snacks and drinks were available 24/7, and the breakfast was fine. My only suggestion would be to serve the breakfast at a warmer temperature. At serving time, the food was fairly cold; not a good temperature for eggs and pancakes. The horses were gorgeous and very well taken care of.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Ranch. We're pet the horses, played with the cats and dogs who live there, she saw the most incredible stars at night. Breakfast was excellent and if you tell them you're diet restrictions they'll work with them. The rooms are beautiful and have character. There are tons of places to sit and relax. The only negative thing I would say is they had terrible 1-ply toilet paper. So we're definitely going back, but maybe I'll bring a roll or two.

We could not have asked for a more perfect stay! This property is breathtaking and our room was immaculate!!! We were given so much freedom and accessibility to the horses which is not something you normally see on guest ranches. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the horses from leisurely walking in the pastures beside them, to feeding them from the fence. Our trail ride was so much fun and we were even able to retrieve and tack up our own horse and then return them to the pasture after our ride. The food was absolutely delicious and can assure even the pickiest of eaters won't leave this vacation hungry. From amazing food, beautiful scenery, and endless activities, there is something here for everyone to enjoy. We cant wait to come back and truly want to thank Southern Cross for a memorable and relaxing stay!!!

The "hallway" to my 2nd floor room was covered but open with very nice views of the pool and grounds and sometimes the horses. The room was also very comfortable and attractive.
