A gem. No frills hotel but to a very high standard. Roof top terrace. Convenient location. No kettle in room but use of a communal kitchen with fridge; could be really helpful if you have dietary issues. Good shower, bed and towels.

L’Hostal San Gines è situato in un’ottima posizione perché è vicinissimo a El Charco (una splendida e caratteristica laguna), a 15 min. a piedi dalla spiaggia de El Reducto e a 10, sempre a piedi, dalla stazione principale degli autobus che conducono in tutta l’isola. Molto consigliato dunque a chi decide di non noleggiare l’auto. Ha una terrazza con mobili da esterno e un tetto panoramico. Al piano terra una cucina condivisa fornita di tutto l’occorrente. Il personale è molto gentile ed accogliente. Essendo in un edificio antico, non è dotato di ascensore, ma ha solo tre piani e pur con valigia da 20 kg, con un po’ di fatica, ce la si fa.

Hostal tres bien situé dans le Charco San Gines. Le plus : les 2 terrasses sur le toit. Accueil et conseils au top. Un grand merci à Rosa pour sa bonne humeur, ses échanges enthousiastes sur la beauté de cette île. Nous reviendrons !

Arrived at night the receptionist was good explained about the hotel and surrounding area. We were given are keys room 211 tucked away from the corridor stairs room was of good size plenty of hangers pleanty of storage . Bed was very comfortable and cleaned every other day plenty of hot water . The 2 roof terraces were a good size plenty of seating .

Chambre correcte, decoration minimaliste. Juste l essentiel pour dormir La wifi ne fonctionne pas tres bien. Cjambre mal insonorisée Cependant hotel idealement bien placé, à 2 pas des restaurants, des animations nocturnes , de la mer et d une rue commercante. 2 parkings gratuits assez proches.
Chambre correcte, decoration minimaliste. Juste l essentiel pour dormir La wifi ne fonctionne pas tres bien. Cjambre mal insonorisée Cependant hotel idealement bien placé, à 2 pas des restaurants, des animations nocturnes , de la mer et d une rue commercante. 2 parkings gratuits assez proches.

Small pullout desk and two chairs for laptop use or writing. Kettle in room, cups downstairs in kitchen area, shared kitchen area to heat or prepare food. Hostal surrounded by plenty of eating places, good variety of choice. Hostal céntrico y bien comunicado. No había mucha limpeza, la puerta del baño estaba rota y cuando digo rota digo con un agujero como si alguien le hubiera dado un puñetazo, se veía a través. Había un olor insoportable a cañerías en la habitación, lo dijimos en recepción y fregaron con lejía, luego olía a lejía. Es un tercer piso sin ascensor.

Ich war eine Woche im Hostal und war zufrieden. Klar es ist eine Budget Unterkunft, aber dafür mehr als in Ordnung. Mein Zimmer war immer sauber, und auch wenn es ziemlich hellhörig war, war es nie zu laut. Als Base für Unternehmungen auf der Insel ist die Unterkunft mehr als soldie. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist großartig, in den angrenzenden Lokalen am Charco de San Gines kann man den Abend super ausklingen lassen (Besonders das Restaurant Chapo kann ich zu später Stunde empfehlen) Auch die angrenzenden Straßen haben ihren eigenen Charm Im großen und ganzen kann ich die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Hostal con muy mala higiene. Habitación sucia donde mi pareja y yo sufrimos graves picaduras de chinches, por las cuales tuvimos que acudir a urgencias. El hostal no admite culpa alguna; según ellos, la limpieza de las habitaciones es estricta. La realidad es que encontramos pelos ajenos, sábanas manchadas y toallas de pésima calidad. Somos conscientes de hasta dónde se le puede exigir a un hostal de este nivel, y ni siquiera iba a escribir una reseña; pero el tema de las chinches ha sido el detonante, ya que se eximen de cualquier tipo de responsabilidad, cuando las pruebas son claras. En el hospital nos confirmaron que las picaduras fueron provocadas por chinches de cama. No hemos dormido en ningún otro sitio durante las vacaciones. Amigos con los que compartimos el viaje —y que no se alojaban allí— no han tenido ninguno de estos síntomas. Solo espero que no le vuelva a pasar a nadie más.

Hostal in posizione centrale, a 100 metri dalla zona pedonale e dei ristoranti. Pulizie a giorni alterni ma ben fatte. Bagno di piccole dimensioni. Per chi, come noi, sta fuori tutto il giorno va benissimo.

Habitación con telarañas colgando del techo sobre una de las camas. Lleno de polvo. Tuvimos que pedir que limpiaran de nuevo al hacer el check-in. Aún así, el espejo de la habitación, muebles, puertas y esquinas se veía que hacía muchísimo tiempo que no se limpiaban. Uno de los colchones deberían tirarlo directamente. Lamentablemente, de las 3 noches que teníamos pagadas, solo pudimos quedarnos una ya que el lugar no está en condiciones de quedarse mucho más. Las fotos no corresponden con la habitación. Le hace falta una buena mano de pintura. Marcas de dedos negros sobre la pared. Al salir, sabiendo que nos íbamos antes, no se interesaron ni en preguntar qué había pasado. Le explicamos todo y no pudieron rebatir ni una sola palabra. Ni siquiera se ofrecieron a compensarnos de alguna manera. Una simple limpieza extra, que viendo lo que habían limpiado en la primera, no hubiera servido de mucho. Esta triste experiencia no ha costado dos noches extra en otro lugar.

The staff was super helpful, we were able to leave our luggage before check in. Nice location, close to shops and promenade. However, we had a problem with a lack of hot water in the bathroom (on one or two occasions, there was no hot water at all so we had to take showers in a cold water which wasn't very pleasant experience).

Good location, next to the city center. Clean basic room with comfortable bed. Not sound proof so you can hear your neighboors. Weak Wifi. Very nice sunny terrace on the last floor. Would recommend for a short stay.

Su ubicación está cerca de todo y es perfecta, me ayudaron en todo desde el hotel, el wifi va muy bien y las habitaciones cuentan con todo lo necesario. Muy recomendado.

No hacen las habitaciones todos los días y ni tan siquiera vacían las papeleras del WC, con lo que esto genera… Las toallas tampoco las cambian. Solicité info en recepción sobre cuando limpiaban y no me la quisieron dar. Una de las chicas de recepción necesita unas clases de amabilidad. Seca y desagradable sin interés alguno en proporcionar info sobre la zona, mapas, servicios del hostal, etc. Lo único que es excelente es la zona. El resto deja bastante que desear.

Really nice value friendly atmosphere hostel/pension style hotel. Staff were lovely! Thank you so much! I love the lobby music & enjoyed chatting to the guy on the front desk. Great setting by the harbour and easy to use buses to get to other beaches and resorts around the island.

The service was excellent, from check-in to booking a taxi early in the morning when I was leaving. The location was also very convenient, right by a grocery store and other necessities. Highly recommend!

Le personnel est toujours disponible, répond rapidement, et à était d'un très grand aide en urgence dans la nuit lorsque j'ai eu besoin d'un taxi en urgence ! Ménage parfait, rien à redire, les femmes de ménage ne sont pas envahissante si vous êtes dans la chambre. La cuisine est très pratique. L'hôtel est très bien positionné, sur le port à quelques pas des restaurant et rues commerçantes.

L’Hostal San Gines è situato in un’ottima posizione perché è vicinissimo a El Charco (una splendida e caratteristica laguna), a 15 min. a piedi dalla spiaggia de El Reducto e a 10, sempre a piedi, dalla stazione principale degli autobus che conducono in tutta l’isola. Molto consigliato dunque a chi decide di non noleggiare l’auto. Ha una terrazza con mobili da esterno e un tetto panoramico. Al piano terra una cucina condivisa fornita di tutto l’occorrente. Il personale è molto gentile ed accogliente. Essendo in un edificio antico, non è dotato di ascensore, ma ha solo tre piani e pur con valigia da 20 kg, con un po’ di fatica, ce la si fa.

The staff was super helpful, we were able to leave our luggage before check in. Nice location, close to shops and promenade. However, we had a problem with a lack of hot water in the bathroom (on one or two occasions, there was no hot water at all so we had to take showers in a cold water which wasn't very pleasant experience).

Chambre correcte, decoration minimaliste. Juste l essentiel pour dormir La wifi ne fonctionne pas tres bien. Cjambre mal insonorisée Cependant hotel idealement bien placé, à 2 pas des restaurants, des animations nocturnes , de la mer et d une rue commercante. 2 parkings gratuits assez proches.

Small pullout desk and two chairs for laptop use or writing. Kettle in room, cups downstairs in kitchen area, shared kitchen area to heat or prepare food. Hostal surrounded by plenty of eating places, good variety of choice. Situated in an area easy reach to local public transport, bus station 10min walk, shopping mall 15min walk, 15-20min walk to the beach. Friendly, approachable, helpful staff.

Great location at a fantastic price. You're right next to various restaurants, supermarkets, marina and seafront. Helpful staff available 24/7 at reception. The only slight disappointment was the WiFi being patchy on the top floor and the lack of a lift might put off those who might struggle with stairs.
