Super 8 by Wyndham El Paso IL

1st room I was given reeked of smoke (a non-smoking sign was not in hallway, just that it was an accessible room). Was then given another room that did have the non-smoking designation. When I turned on the AC the room then started to smell of cigarette smoke. I checked to see if someone was smoking outside of room (on ground floor) but no one outside. Eventually I ended up turning unit off & turned on bathroom exhaust. In the morning when I went to speak to an employee about the room there was no one in the office area. That evening upon returning to the hotel the woman who checked us in was again at the desk. I showed her the photos of the missing smoke alarm cover & the disintegrating lampshade she told me someone must have stolen the cover & she’d remark that I reported the damaged lampshade so I wouldn’t be charged! The top sheet of the bed was close to be being considered a sheer curtain it was so thin. The one & only ‘soap’ in the bathroom was a dinky 2”x1” thin sliver. I’ve never seen a hand soap that small in a hotel room before, besides not a bigger one for use in shower/tub. We stayed here last Fall for ISU’s Family Weekend & had a very good experience so that’s why we booked here this year. Staircases we’re blocked by construction materials, furniture was in hallways. The AC unit in other family member’s room was missing the metal cover & all wiring, etc completely exposed. Very disappointed, will not stay here again. Take this hotel off of Hotels.com

The hotel was rundown, building code violations everywhere. Rooms smelled like smoke or urine. Boxes, plastic wrapping, trim and broken doors in the hallway or under the stairs. Our room was missing the air-conditioning cover, another party with us wires exposed smoke detector missing. Had to re boot and set the cable box 2x. El Paso is a quaint little town but will not return to this hotel

I stayed here for a festival. lack of places to charge devices. the hotels main line phone for all rooms was not connected to anything. the staff made me seem like it was a chore for them to do anything i asked. room cards were shut off everyday.

Well the hotel had hot water, comfortable bed...not so good breakfast...but inexpensive stay....but if you have pets thats where they get you...40.00 per animal...and also a so called pet deposit that i will most likely never get....but they do have a dog fence

Had a small bottle of hair conditioner but no shampoo. Breakfast had cold cereal and make your own waffles and that was it. Towels were clean but stained.

Dirt in the corners, microwave still had spaghetti in it, food under the bed, mattress was rock hard, breakfast was coffee and cold cereal. Woodys,restaurant down the road was excellent.

Stayed 3 days, my room was never cleaned. I had to empty my own trash and had to ask for clean towels. Women at front desk was very rude. Will never stay here again.

Room assigned wasn’t turned over yet. Given different room where cleanliness was subpar as well.

The room I was in had been recently renovated, so everything looked new and clean.

Room was clean. Light filtered in at the bottom of blinds. A bit annoying.

Need to clean the rooms more often and take out trash more often

Hotel was clean and room was spacious. Was budget friendly. Breakfast consisted of cereal or waffles and orange juice and coffee. Good enough.

Air conditioning did not work. Had to move to another room. Hard beds. Ran out of toilet paper - no extra one in room 😞

Bed was horribly hard. Like sleeping on concrete.

Was old, room was somewhat clean. Oneof the beds was broken. The breakfast was just cereal so to day continental breakfast was a gar stretch.

Needs more electrical outlets

Hotel was ok for a 1 night stay. Bed was pretty firm, sheets looked clean. Air conditioner was pretty noisy but worked. Breakfast was pretty bare, coffee, cereal and a waffle maker. Didnt see any butter or anything else to drink. Staff were friendly when you saw some.

Nice room. They need to provide drinking cups. They also need breakfast items for people with type 2.

Rooms were dirty, had unmentionable items in room my grandchildren were in. Desk clerk didnt believe me. Will not recommend!

I guess ok for the money but frig was dirty and no cups--I went down to the breakfast area to get some to use in our room. I couldn't figure out how to connect to the Wifi but the front desk man was very helpful.

Stayed in this hotel four times within the past two months. Numerous small issues will ensure that I will not be staying there again, I accidently left a clothing item in the room. When I checked with the hotel to see if it was in their lost and found I was told nothing was turned in and then proceeded to get a lecture on checking the room for personal items before leaving. Lamp had a burned out bulb. Only one package of coffee instead of two. Refrigerator didn't work. Trim by the door lock was broke. Desk clerk extremely hard to communicate with. I'm not picky, but all of this was too much.

The Female at the front desk was very rude. They're was not a manger Avaible until the next morning. The problem was now. they wanted to charge us more money for 1 more person. Reservations got all messed up I had it for Saturday instead of Friday canceled that and got Friday night but only 1 person in the room and wanted to charge more for another person. Which is bull. I asked for a refund and they have not done that. They also canceled are reservation because of all they could not help correctly then..

Losty reservation and wanted to over charger desk clerk had no idea what he was doing didn't stay will never go this way again

The young man at the desk was very nice.

Quick stop off the interstate for an overnight. Easily accessible. Hotel was older, lighting was really dim, but maybe that’s a good thing so we couldn’t see how dingy it was. Beds were comfortable though. Perfectly fine for us to catch a few winks at and then leave early morning.

Conveniently located next to the highway. Breakfasts are cereals, orange juice, and coffee.

Nothing for breakfast unless you wanted cereal. No fresh fruit, muffins…etc. no waffles… the waffle machine was broken. Coffee wasn’t hot just warm

needs updating, out first room smelled of old cigarettes. the toilet didn't flush and the bathroom door didn't have a door knob. there was basically no breakfast 2 kinds of flake cereal and waffles, no fruit, yogurt, no bread or pastries. There was reg coffee.
