The hotel is remodeling, but that was never mentioned on their website or when I reserve the room. The pool was closed. The park lot torn up. Worst of all the mattress was so bad, making someone roll to the middle as soon as I laid down. I told the receptionist about a light out on my bedstand. She said she would come up but never came up to the room. The faucet in the shower would only run cold water. I turned it off and turned it back on, then it would only run hot water. Very frustrating.

The Refrigerator did not work causing storage issues for my wife’s expensive diabetes medication. Also, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken. The staff seems to not really care saying they would let maintenance know. The pool was also not available either.

They advertised a hot tub, but they took it out, so that was disappointing. That is one reason i booked there or i would have went somewhere else. When you pay for that and expect it to be there, that is not right. The beds were hard as well.

The pool area had construction materials in it, and it wasn't clear if it was open. There were no signs on the pool door. Breakfast was good. I enjoyed our short stay.

I like that they had recently put new carpet in but the chemicals in the carpet were too strong. Hot breakfast was gone because the hotel was at capacity and the pool was out of order. The parking lot had pot holes.

Staff was nowhere to be seen when we arrived. Rang the bell, called the phone, nothing for nearly 10 minutes. Then got to the room and the bathtub looked dirty, the paint job in the bathroom was sloppy with paint drips on the tile floor. There were crumbs in the bed when we pulled back the sheets and the nightstands had cup rings and also sticky stuff on them. We usually have great experienced with Country Inn & Suites which is why I prefer to book rooms with them. But this location is not great.

While I normally do not leave reviews, I was hoping for someone to reach back out to me after receiving a text from the property regarding my stay. It was stated that someone would follow-up with me, and no one has. I realize the property is going through upgrades, so I am assuming my king suite on the 3rd floor has not had any upgrades yet. The carpet was stained, the walls were dirty with sticky dripping spilled drinks near the fridge, the bathroom doors/floor were dirty, there was rusty mildew all over the bathroom door frame, the ceiling had a huge crack, there was a dead roach on the carpet by the bedside table, and the shower had zero pressure. I mentioned this at checkout and was simply apologized to. I have never had this many issues at a hotel before and would appreciate speaking to someone about a refund. I have photos of all of the above issues if needed. Thank you.

Tired, exhausted from being in 2 days of extreme heat & humidity. Late arrival. Some nice upgrades have been done, but upon closer inspection, the vents, fixtures, curtains are stained, torn, rusted, corroded, crud on floors, bathrm fan sounded like an airplane taking off. The vents hadn't been cleaned in decades. Just an overwhelming grime everywhere. Doors on refridge & microwave were positioned so you couldnt access the appliances. And then i realized the air conditioning doesnt work. Air coming out, but not cold at all. The smell of mold and old funk was unbearable. Was planning on relaxing the following morning, but was out by 7:30am for some fresh & clean air. Country Inns have never been this bad. Breakfast was good. Check in lady was great. Management needs to deep clean the place.

The whole hotel smelled like weed. Staff was outside smoking a lot, but were friendly when they were actually working behind the desk. Trash all over the hallways. Pool was gross and dirty. It was also freezing. Fine for somewhere to sleep while passing through. Would not recommend overall; spend the extra $30 and stay at one of the other hotels on the same road.

Black mold in the hallway. The room was so humid, our bedding was wet and so were our clothes in our suitcase when we woke up in the morning. Terrible, musty smell and damp air. We have stayed here before with no trouble, but we will not stay here again next year.

There was a noisy pump sound that was constant, rusty tub drain, water damage in bath painted over. Some things were up graded and soaps were available. Looked clean but had bed bugs. Night staff smelled of alcohol and was less than helpful.

The room was spacious and comfortable— loved the separate sleeping/living areas. Nice and quiet, comfy bed and super nice staff. I did not have the breakfast, so I can’t say anything about that. Being close to the interstate, there was some noise, but it didn’t bother me. If you plan to make coffee, brush your teeth or take pills, be sure to bring your own water. The faucet water tastes like mold and is unusable. Also the bathroom mirror provides very little light for makeup and there is no hairdryer. In spite of those things, I enjoyed my stay and will stay again. It is a great value for the price.

This was one of the most unpleasant hotels we stayed in on our road trip across America. The place was just outdated and there was no internet which apparently had been out for a week and wasn't expected back until the following week. That seemed ridiculous. The staff were disengaged and didn't even bother to tell us there was an elevator so we dragged our suitcases up to the third floor and only then discovered the elevator ourselves. The breakfast was fine but unattended by staff. The room was outdated, uncomfortable, but clean. We were glad that we only had one night there.

The tile floor was breaking off all over the place in the room. We found spiders and a beetle in the room and the toilet wasn’t properly sealed to the floor. The entire hotel was extremely humid and we both left with scratchy throats. Most of the breakfast machines were broken and we had to have our key reset 3 times in a 3 day stay. When we went to the front desk, we always ended up needing to call the hotel to find anyone to speak with!

Main complain is that the Internet didn't work. I needed a hotel for two reasons, suitability of its location on a long road trip, and availability of internet so that I could work for as many hours as possible after checking-in in the late afternoon and before checking-out the next morning. I was able to connect to the internet without a problem, but UNable to access a single website, including my own on which I needed to work. I spent my entire stay there siting on a sofa and staring into space, and am now a couple of days behind with my work.

The laminate floor was coming up in many places in the bedroom, molding coming away from the walls, phone didn’t work because the wires were cut/frayed, the tub spout pulled out of the wall. The front desk staff was nice and the breakfast offering were good (juice machine was broken but indicated that and they made juice containers available). If the issues were fixed I would stay again.

Older hotel based on general appearance of room, carpeting though out, paint. Our room had cracked sinks basin that didn’t effect function just appearance. Bed was very uncomfortable with firm sides and soft sagging middle that pulled you in while sleeping. Staff was friendly and reminded us that hotel was under new ownership and going to get remolded (why pool and hot tub was not working during our stay)

The first room we got to the exhaust AND fridge were not working. We told the front desk and after a bit of argument they moved us. The second room was in working order but the laminate flooring that they had laid down over the carpet was coming up. The hotel has been “updated” but it’s a poorly done job. They need serious renovations

The floor is broken and warped, vinyl planks. Noisy and very dated. Bathroom was very poor shape as well. Neighbors had tv on all night and loud. Only slept 4 hours due to the hardness of the bed and noises.

Christie was amazing! She was friendly and kind, and accommodating for our large group. She made us feel right at home and set up space for us to gather, and made sure we had what we needed. The rooms were spacious and quiet with comfortable beds and a big bathroom.

Absolutely the worst customer experience ever. I booked a 2 night stay for my 6 year old grandson for the weekend since this property has an indoor pool. Upon arrival, I noticed that the pool was closed due to maintenance. I told the lady at the front desk that I wanted to cancel my reservation since the reason I booked the room was because I wanted to stay at a property that had a pool. The clerk was extremely rude and told me that she would not refund my money. She stated that I would not be able to find a cheaper place to stay so I shouldn’t be so petty about the pool. Young man at check in was excellent and efficient. Bathroom has no towel bars or toilet tissue holder. AC does not work well. Bathroom mirror is distorted. Hinge on bathroom door is coming off resulting in a resounding bang when you shut the door. It just seems cheaply done.

Overall this property worked for what we needed and was a good price. On the plus side, the night desk agent was super friendly and helpful. I’d give him a 10/10. Also on the plus side is distance to the festival grounds if you are walking to Tailgates N Tallboys. Now the negative list: They did not have enough parking spaces for the number of rooms sold so if you were the last ones to the hotel at night, you did not have a place to park. Every night guests ended up parking at neighboring lots and we saw several get towed the next morning. The pool and hot tub were closed for ‘maintenance’ all weekend which was not disclosed at booking. Our room was not in good repair. The couch had stains on the cushions. The curtains and walls had huge stains. There was no bedding for the sofa bed. (They did give us some when we asked) When we asked for 4 new towels, they gave us 3 and said they were almost out of clean laundry so they couldn’t give us 4 even though we had 4 people in the room. Our toilet clogged and we called down and asked for a plunger. They brought it up but the two employees had a disagreement over which one would come in and help us until I said I would do it, I just needed the plunger. Then they told us that you aren’t allowed to put any toilet paper in their toilets. It all has to go in the garbage can or the toilets will overflow. We stayed for the Bloomington Tailgates N Tallboys and it was close to the festival. And Walmart was nearby for any items we forgot for our stay. As well as a few dining options within walking distance.

Hotel overall was fine. Easy on and off expressway. The room had an updated sink, but the floors was old laminate, echo from the TV, not very warm feeling. Front doors do not have electric opening, so hard to get in with a cart full of personal items.

Other properties have more choices for breakfast- not refilled very well. Is being renovated so pool and hot tub closed. Would have liked to know this ahead of time. Hot water for tea was lukewarm. Person at desk was handling desk and breakfast

Our stay was clean. We were not told pool was not usable. Breakfast was the worst. I understand the food is heat and serve but it was the WORST! The toilet in our room was a very low to the ground. The sink did not drain properly and slow! ,These are just to name a few things. No we will never stay here again.

The only issue with the rooms were that the carpet felt damp. Maybe it was recently shampooed and not completely dried?? The big negative was the lady in charge of the breakfast area. She was very, very rude! She snaped at people, was sarcastic, and banged things around when asked for help. Pretty much told a mam he lied about the water being cold for coffee. Only to find out he was right. Openly complained to herself as she replaced it. She pushed my adult daughter aside and reached across her and picked up the serving spoon she had just put down and slammed it down almost the same way as my daughter put it down. All while giving a big humm sound of frustration. Someone went to move a chair so the 3 of them could sit at the same table. She snapped that the chairs were not allowed to move and to get a chair down from the shelf "if" they really needed it. One man put some gravy on his plate, turned to tell his wife that it looked good. The lady interrupted him and asked if he was done with the gravy, he said "I guess I am." She reached in front of him, slammed the lid back on the gravy and said "Put the lids back on when you are done."(Paused) then said "Please," Her tone was very angry. I told the front desk staff and they said they get quite a lot of complains about her. Please provide some customer service training to the poor woman or replace her with someone who understands the hospitality industry. She made for a very uncomfortable ending to our stay.

The bathroom door would not shut. Then maintenance worked on it and it would hit you from behind if you did not catch it. The breakfast was mediocre. The cereal machines were broken, and outdated pastries. Very disappointed with this Country Inn Brand.

Thank goodness room was a little better after turning room AC on. But carpet still felt dirty. Parts of the wall/corners were damaged/paint off. Beds and linen were clean and nice though.
