Excellent pub on the outskirts of Chichester. Our room was at the back of the pub in what might have been originally stables. Converted into very nice rooms with en-suite. Very quiet when we stayed, but might be noisy in the summer as next to the pub garden. We enjoyed cooked breakfast for the two days we stayed and a evening meal on one night. The pub was popular with locals for lunch and dinner, which says a lot. Convenient for local walks and the Roman Palace. We got the bus from outside the pub into town rather than drive £5 return. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would visit again.

Enjoyed a lovely, romantic mini break here. Very clean room (no.4 in the garden) great shower pressure, working tv, tea, coffee, hair dryer, iron, easy check-in. Excellent full english cooked breakfast and fruit cereal etc. Although its a pub inn its a very peaceful room because the pub is more of a gastro pub and everyone went home by 10pm so we had an extremely good night sleep. Recommended!

We spent one night at the Bulls Head during our weekend away, and had a nice stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, the rooms were around the edge of the beer garden so you can sit and have a drink right by your room if you wanted. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of cereals, fruit and full English, we also had dinner which was nice too. It is in a good location with lots of exploring opportunities, so would make a good base if you are staying for longer.

The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, the rooms were around the edge of the beer garden so you can sit and have a drink right by your room if you wanted. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of cereals, fruit and full English, we also had dinner which was nice too. It is in a good location with lots of exploring opportunities, so would make a good base if you are staying for longer.

We can't recommend the Bulls Head enough. It is a superb pub. The accommodation was comfortable, the food was just excellent and the staff were brilliant. It was a truly fantastic weekend and we look forward to staying in the Bulls Head again really soon. Thank you to everyone who made our stay very special. Andrew & June

We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with a modern ensuite. The pub itself was charming in a beautiful area,the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was made to order with a variety of choices and the dinner was absolutely delicious. As a group of four having a ladies get away it was absolutely perfect. We would all highly recommend a visit here.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay as a surprise birthday treat for my husband at the Bull’s Head and have had the most enjoyable time. I cannot praise it enough. Of all the various types of accommodation we have stayed in over the years, I have to say this comes out on top. The food was absolutely excellent, having eaten in every evening and both trying different meals each time. The breakfasts are to die for & will be sadly missed when I return to my morning porridge! The actual pub is very old and maintains all the charm of its ancient history- so cosy, with little ‘nooks’, plenty of seating to enjoy your food. It has a very friendly atmosphere which reflects on all the bar & waiting staff. They work extremely hard & are so friendly & helpful. The outside seating area is perfect, plenty of places to sit & enjoy last of evening sunshine. We stayed in a converted barn - one of four - I think it is next in line to be refurbed. The owner and his wife Nicki are so friendly & nothing was too much trouble - and I must say - after the few days we were there, made us feel as though we’d known them forever. Thank you so much for our stay & you certainly haven’t seen the last of us! Sue & Rick

We stayed 3 nights a week ago. Our room was comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Looked newly renovated. Perfect to use as a base to explore the area. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Very happy!

Extremely pleasant stay the staff were friendly and efficient, The room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. The only minor issue was the lighting by the mirrors we found inadequate for getting ready for a wedding and it would have be nice to have a full length mirror. Breakfast wad great and will certainly stay again. Many thanks for making our stay most enjoyable.

Friendly, but chaotic welcome! We were asked to order our breakfast, but there weren't any breakfast menus left so the person who checked us in hoped he remembered everything we could have! The room was fine, needs updating, something the owner told us over breakfast they would be doing. Breakfast was very nice, perfect poached eggs and delicious mushrooms, and the fresh fruit was welcomed. The owners were both very friendly at breakfast - and helpful about where to visit locally.

Very welcoming staff, and food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. The only reason I’ve marked it down a little was the mattress in one of our rooms didn’t fit the bed frame! The mattress was a double on king size bed frame. I also felt that the taped up loft hatch in our room was untidy looking which is a real shame

We had a nice room in the courtyard of the pub. It was quite simple, but had everything we needed and was comfortable. The breakfast we had was excellent - especially the butcher's sausages.

Small character pub. Rooms across garden, small but clean. Well appointed bathroom. Bed a little firm for my taste, very thin small quilt for a double bed, would not have covered 2 people. Gluten free items on menu that could not be served for dinner. Not possible to create a full main course from items available.

The owner and his wife, and every other member of the team we encountered could not have been more polite and helpful. We'll definitely be back next time we're down that way. Special shout out to the fish pie, if you eat there, order it!

Breakfast was very nice, perfect poached eggs and delicious mushrooms, and the fresh fruit was welcomed. The owners were both very friendly at breakfast - and helpful about where to visit locally.

Fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals. Hot items are pre ordered the night before. Well cooked and tasty. Pub itself was comfortable. Food excellent. Well cooked and well presented. Ample portions too. We actually ate in the pub the 3 nights as food was so good. Only negative was i asked for extra gravy for my pie and was given it. When the bill came i was charged £1.50 under open bar. I was a bit miffed especially as i had not been advised i would be charged. A lovely stay with just the 2 negatives. Bigger towels and either not charge or at least advise there would be a charge for extra gravy.

Excellent pub on the outskirts of Chichester. Our room was at the back of the pub in what might have been originally stables. Converted into very nice rooms with en-suite. Very quiet when we stayed, but might be noisy in the summer as next to the pub garden. We enjoyed cooked breakfast for the two days we stayed and a evening meal on one night. The pub was popular with locals for lunch and dinner, which says a lot. Convenient for local walks and the Roman Palace. We got the bus from outside the pub into town rather than drive £5 return. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would visit again.

The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, the rooms were around the edge of the beer garden so you can sit and have a drink right by your room if you wanted. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of cereals, fruit and full English, we also had dinner which was nice too. It is in a good location with lots of exploring opportunities, so would make a good base if you are staying for longer.

We stayed 3 nights a week ago. Our room was comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Looked newly renovated. Perfect to use as a base to explore the area. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Very happy!

Breakfast was lovely, friendly chatty chef, breakfast box was a little dissapointing, more a packed lunch than a breakfast and provided the night before with no fridge to keep it in, ate it the night before as wouldn’t have touched it the next day! Nice rooms in the car park, a little over priced for what they are in my opinion.

We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with a modern ensuite. The pub itself was charming in a beautiful area,the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was made to order with a variety of choices and the dinner was absolutely delicious. As a group of four having a ladies get away it was absolutely perfect. We would all highly recommend a visit here.

The room was basic but very comfortable with a lovely shower room. Thoughtful extra touches such as a toothbrush beaker. Hospitality tray well stocked. Breakfast was pre-ordered freshly cooked using local produce. But what really makes the Bulls Head is the staff. Always friendly helpful and cheerful. The door of our room was sticking to the point that I had to ask staff to help closing/locking it. Which they did promptly and with a smile. But this was obviously a temporary problem which will have been fixed by now.

So friendly and low key, very warm feeling. A highlight was proximity to walking trails and the mill pond where 2 swans were raising 5 cygnets! We loved watching them and interacting with other passersby. Wonderful to stay somewhere that did not feel touristy.
