This was very comfortable and clean. We had an ensuite bathroom so can’t comment on the shared facilities. A little noisy as it’s on a main road, but this would not stop me staying here again. The location was convenient with light rail as we had an event at Moore Park. If you don’t pre book your parking here you will struggle to get unrestricted parking as it’s limited.

I stayed for a total of 3 nights- & even though the sign stated that ‘room servicing’ would occur every other day- I had absolutely no servicing done- no option to replace my towel which I used to wipe the communal bathroom (no laundry shoot to place dirty & wet towels). Disappointed at the extra cost for car parking- which should come with a warning as extremely difficult to access.

the room was lovely good size and clean. bed was very comfortable, i liked that the room.had a sink. the shared bathroom was right outside door and i never had to wait. i arrived late and they hat the key ans instructions in lock box. The laundry was convenient ans.the kitchen was good for utensils although i didnt cook

Me sorprendió gratamente ya que estaba muy limpio, tenia un lava manos dentro de la habitación, nos dejaron toallas, y algunas infusiones para desayunar. Además, tiene una cocina con todo lo necesario para cocinar, junto con la lavandería completa. Lo único que no me agrado fue que quisimos ussr la lavadora pero necesitaba una moneda especial, la cual debían dárnosla en recepción pero luego de las 18 hs no había nadie allí por lo que no pudimos utilizarla. La ubicación es muy buena, estando a menos de una calle del centro de Randwick.

Location great. Needs proper housekeeping services they didn't fix bed properly and cups were still dirty. Is not that cheap considering you have to share a bathroom. Shared kitchen is convenient with coin operated laundry facilities also. $7 surcharge if you pay through hotel keep in mind which should be stated before paying.

Room was small, door hit bed on opening but bonus was it had its own ensuite and was very clean. Staff were very friendly. Although on main road, traffic noise was minimal but we were disturbed by loud foot traffic in late hours of night on street outside window both nights. Secure On site parking was a great bonus too.

Great balance between an Airbnb and a hotel - nice private rooms with cleaning service/bed linen changes every 2 days, room had a fridge, kettle with tea/coffee etc and a sink. Shared bathrooms were kept clean - fantastic shower (dual head - waterfall and regular shower head) with great power, also lovely and hot! All the shampoo/shower gel etc had a gorgeous fragrance (and was also in refillable bottles - great from an eco conscious point of view). The shared kitchen had all the amenities you would need and there are also food shops/restaurants/takeaways nearby. The staff were lovely - very friendly and helpful plus the location was great - short walking distance to Randwick and The Spot and also a few minutes from the tram (to the city) and buses (to the beach). Had a lovely stay and would definitely come again!

Great location room clean upon check in. However housekeeping only tidied up very roughly. Bed wasn't made properly, cups weren't clean. Dirty towels weren't removed and we had to ask for more bath matts. Hotel charged $7 surcharge which wasn't mentioned to me when taking out funds over phone.

The room was fine, however I came in, there was a dirty plate near the kettle on arrival, the mattress was severely damaged, and uncomfortable, we struggled to sleep. I also put the sign on the door for the room to be cleaned. My husband and I were out all day morning to evening and we came back and it had not been touched.

I stayed a total of 3 nights. 2 nights in the double room with the shared bathroom and 1 night in the premium room with the ensuite. I made the decision to upgrade as I returned to my room on night 2 and was greeted by a cockroach on the bed. Not sure if it was in the room already, or if it came in from the shared bathroom. While the room was reasonably clean, the bathroom facility just depended on how considerate the other guests are. I was very happy with the premium room and if I stay here again I would choose this option for the whole stay.

This property was close to public transport, within just walking distance from the tram which made it amazing to stay at. Only downfall was our room faced out to the Main Street and you could hear the cars passing by quite loudly. Didn’t bother us too much as it was just a one night stay for a concert so we were barely in the room, so it suited us well

The room was small but alright. The bed sank a bit too much. There was a creepy man standing in front of the hotel at night. The wall and the door are thin. Given the price it was not the best choice but it was OK.

Our stay at The Alison was quite good. Reception lady was very friendly & helpful. Parking was secure & very convenient. Lovely comfy bed, clean bathroom( although tiny ). Great proximity to the light rail. The only downside was that our room was at the front & traffic noise was very loud & constant. We’d stay again but request a room further back, if possible.

I found the room was very small. The shared bathroom was just Ok. There was lack of toilet paper, so guess used hand paper and made the bathroom untidy.

I loved this property! The room was spacious and clean. This was my first time sharing a bathroom and didnt have high expectations but I was honestly blown away. I never had to wait for the bathroom and the bathroom itself was clean and lush. The only downfall was the rooms are not very sound proof and the parking is extremely tight.

Tidy room but such thin walls and it was too noisy. We could hear everything from outside. I read the review afterwards and many people complained about the same thing from years ago so obviously nothings is done about it. I should have checked the review before booking.

Stayed in the family room with 3 adults plenty of room. Bathroom was lovely, had heating. Comfortable bed, room was clean. Was ground level beside the road bit noisy but not too bad. Easy to find, great location beside shops/restaurants. Easy to access if out late. Lovely staff. Close to public transport.

The property was exceedingly clean and neat Though the sheets werent changed at all during our stay. Towels were changed while we were out, but the new ones were simply dumped on the bed, and the dirty ones not even taken away. The cleaning staff also didnt close the room door properly so we came home to an unlocked room... not good given it had all of our personal items, laptops etc in there. We were also a bit disappointed by not being informed that we had to pay extra for parking. We deliberately searched for and selected this hotel on expedia, for its location and because we new we needed parking. Street parking is crowded in the area, so not really a viable reliable option. Staff are very casual if there at all and no will or power to address complaints. So would we come again... mmm hard to say really... If we had another event within walking distance and didnt need a car probably yes, otherwise almost certainly not

Centennial park was close by. The staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The hotel was located two blocks from relatives so it was ideal. Could walk to the shops. Convenient.

Great little Hotel near to Randwick - perfect. Thanks to the great staff onsite there both at checkin - and even more so when I had to go back to pickup an item I forgot.

Me sorprendió gratamente ya que estaba muy limpio, tenia un lava manos dentro de la habitación, nos dejaron toallas, y algunas infusiones para desayunar. Además, tiene una cocina con todo lo necesario para cocinar, junto con la lavandería completa. Lo único que no me agrado fue que quisimos ussr la lavadora pero necesitaba una moneda especial, la cual debían dárnosla en recepción pero luego de las 18 hs no había nadie allí por lo que no pudimos utilizarla. La ubicación es muy buena, estando a menos de una calle del centro de Randwick.

This property was close to public transport, within just walking distance from the tram which made it amazing to stay at. Only downfall was our room faced out to the Main Street and you could hear the cars passing by quite loudly. Didn’t bother us too much as it was just a one night stay for a concert so we were barely in the room, so it suited us well

I have stayed at the Alison a number of times. This time however I noticed the noisey A/C unit. It constantly sounded like rain on a tin roof while running. Who to notify? There is no desk staff from 5:30. Also with the A/C off and trying to rest the next door’s T.V. Was loud enough to identify the program. The self-closing doors make a notable slam click. Maybe this isn’t a good place if you need real privacy and quiet.

Great stay nothing wrong with the hotel it was very neat and tidy and comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are extremely thin there and you can hear people whispering. There was someone there talking from 9pm till 4am completely drunk and I I as a heavy sleeper could hear everyone could. I love the place but not the best for a good nights sleep without noise.
