Hotel Du Vin, St Andrews

Lovely stay. Walked in to a warm and welcoming staff that was helpful from beginning to end. I can't say enough kind things. The room was clean and very nice and the location was perfect.

Lovely clean room and hotel. Breakfast service very slow and disorganised - despite booking a time for breakfast in advance, no table was available for us. Very slow to take orders and serve breakfast which was not worth the wait or the cost in any event. Overcooked eggs, tasteless sausage, dry black pudding and nothing was particularly warm. Bacon was lovely though.

Staff were attentive and friendly. Rooms were clean with ample amenities.

Went away for a rest after a bereavement.Total waste of time. Building works going on front and back. Work going on in hotel. Tripping over tools lying around. Bar closed due to maintenance. Room in attic next to lift shaft that made a loud noise all night. Couldn’t find a parking space. How is it legal for them to take money and not inform you of disruptive loud building work all be it next door. (excavation work) Was told my complaint would be passed on to manager. Waited two weeks and nothing .Hence review. My advice. Stay away for now.

Excellent hotel convenient to the university and golf course, stunning views of the sea.
