Tout était propre. Quelques traces de brûlures sur le couvre lit. La situation était très bien entre los angeles et San Diego. Le monsieur de l’accueil gentil. La chambre était grande avec une cuisine micro ondes évier gaziniere. La salle de bain très propre. Juste le train qui passe klaxonne c’est marrant. On ne l’entends pas la nuit. Juste avant de s’endormir et le matin.

Scandia Motel’s location is a real highlight! The beach is just a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy the ocean, take a morning stroll, or catch a beautiful sunset. Being close to Carlsbad Village’s restaurants, cafés, and shops adds to the convenience and charm. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy Carlsbad’s relaxed coastal atmosphere, with so much nearby to explore. A great choice for a beach getaway!

One thing I definitely like about this hotel that I don’t see at other hotels is it has a soap conditioner and shampoo dispenser in the bathroom in the shower and on the counter so I don’t ever have to run out of soap or go up to the office and complain I don’t have any. The hotel is nice. The staff is nice. It’s clean and quiet for the most part. The only noise that is a bit annoying and it’s not the hotel’s fault. We have a Navy/school across the street that plays drums at like seven or eight in the morning. I don’t know if it’s every day, but that bothered me as well as the trains that go by pretty consistent they’re like on the backside of the hotel, but that’s the only downfall and it’s not the hotel fault. The hotel itself is very quiet at night , It’s very quiet. They have a nice little flower garden you sit in. And a couple of their rooms are pretty cool the way that they look from the front on the main street. It gives like a house vibe / look.

Served the purpose at a reasonable rate. Inefficient use of space. They do NOT offer late checkout despite it being listed as an option with fee. No USB plugs. (thankfully had a converter plug/cables in my car) b/c this was an unexpected stay & I had no charger cube. sink faucet is weirdly low so difficult to wash your hands or hand wash stockings & hand towel rack is low & poorly placed. The sink setup is awkward. For as long as the wall is they should maybe have a closet type rack to hang things~instead of a weird wooden bench Didn't use the tv.Wifi ok A lil old & kinda rundown in places. chunk of plaster at my front door outside from the wall The surfaces, floor did not look properly clean. Hair/dust on counter tray & dirt or rust particles? on back of toilet. Ants in shower walls eating something that looked like dried noodle on the tile? Ants in the bathroom & sink area-they need pest control. You may not wanna put any food in the trash or surfaces or they'll prob swarm Needs new paint in the bathroom-patched areas look messy. bathroom door handles a lil rusted & the door needs cleaning or fresh paint. Shower tiles & curtain smell a lil mildewy. Prob needs a lil chlorine or vinegar. The ceramic soap dish anchored on the wall tile is cracked & could fall & injure a foot. They only give 1 tiny bar & 2 tiny liquid shampoo or something? I used it as hand soap gap in the wood blinds letting light in & someone could see inside if they wanted.
