No laundry service or pool

First the property does no look anything like the pictures you have up. The Sun signs on the building have all been painted over and it actually looks like it is not in business any more. When we pulled in we were not sure we had the right place.. When we were checking in I saw a sign that the dinning room was under renovations and I said so there is no breakfast and was told the rooms we rented didn't include breakfast. It is advertised that there is coffee in the lobby but there was none, The vending machine was out of order and we couldn't even get a bottle of water. The ice machine was broken and out of order so long people were throwing trash in the catch shoot of it. The shower curtain rod in one of the rooms was ripped out of the wall on one end. There was no safety lock on one of the room doors. The Tub in one room was pealing its inner layer. The seasonal pool was drained. The key pad on the back door was broken and the mettle on the frame was actually cut away so even if the lock was turned there was nothing to hold it in and the door opened freely allowing anyone access at any time. I saw people drive up, go in and come back out to ask me if I worked there cause they could not find anyone. Another time the person I assumed was manning the desk just sat talking with her friend rather than help a person. I felt so unsafe we left a day early

Ice machine was broken The Swimming Pool Had No Water The Door To Our Room Didn't Lock From The Inside .

Showed up to the property to find out there would be no breakfast due to renovations or pool which were advertised in the online description. It even included pictures of both. The pool had been drained, and by the looks of it quite some time before we booked. We had a long day of hiking and were hoping to take swim after being in the hot summer heat to find an empty pool. If we were able, we would've cancelled the reservation and moved to a different hotel. This place was a total disappointment. False advertisement, don't stay here.

They advertised free breakfast, no breakfast. Pool was locked with a key. To get service, you had to call the number listed on a board. The rooms smelled old and the hallways were hot and dark.The bathroom was new and clean-a plus. The parking lot was dirty and a broken vending machine was lying near the back door. Definitely not worth the price. Do not go off of the pictures listed, does not look like that. Young girl in the front at night was friendly and attentive.

I did my reservation here mainly because they advertised with swimming pool which is not in service, ice machine not working and it’s too noisy all night long and during the day too.

This hotel needs to be completely refurbished. It is very, very worn out. The lower floor is in the process of being done. They wanted to put me on 3rd floor with no elevator. I said no, so instead they put me where remodeling was happening. A smoke alarm beeped all night. NO LOCK ON THE BACK DOOR of the property so anyone could come in at night! I felt very unsafe. No one at desk to check me out.

Pool was not in service

Washing Machine didnt work, ice machine didnt work, noise was very loud and there was no breakfast option. However all of this was due to remodeling, so i understand why it was in such a condition. My family and I booked here due to an emergency for one night but would definitely look for other booking options if possible.

We asked for a king size bed.....upon arrival all they had regarding king size bed the only one was on the third floor and there was NO elevator. We took two queen beds first floor as we are seniors with limited mobility. Towel rack was gone. Loud noise of chld running overhead late into the night making us wonder if any adult was there. BIGGEST concern was entrace door at rear no security on it did not lock ....card entry was totally broken. Washing machines literally in main corridor. We were very disappointed appearance of being a dump. Add from which we booked said they had a "breakfast" actually NO they have not had one since COVID!!!

Not worth the price it supposed to be renovated well it doesn’t look like it at all the flooring is. Horrible the painting awful the toilet was not clean properly and many more there’s no batteries on the remote I call and see if a can get any and they said no until the next day the smell in the hallway was the worse, we had a joint door we can hear every from the next guest thru the door. If they charge the amount of money at least they can do a good renovation

Upon arrival, there was a toilet bowl setting outside the front door. We did arrive early and the receptionist was kind enough to check us in. Granted that there was a lot of renovation going on, but there was a lot of dust everywhere. The hotel was not ready to receive guests and should have at least stated that it was going through construction. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Room smelled horrible. Doing construction on upper floor. Too nosey. A lot of dust everywhere.

At first glance this hotel was ok for a budget hotel but further investigation showed many issues. Hallway and stairs were full of dried mud (probably brought in my one of the guest). First of all walk into room and no TV remote. Front desk handed us one that did not work. Had to wait 30 min for maintenance to get TV going. The next morning went to take a shower and the handle fell off in my husbands hand. Luckily he could force the shower to turn one. Told the lady at the front desk and she said the property was having issues all over with shower handles. Not acceptable. I am ready to give up on all super 8 properties. Franchise owners to not seem to want to keep their properties in reasonable shape. Once again I am ashamed to be a Wyndham stockholder.

My bathroom walls had sticky grime. The website advertised a grab and go breakfast which reception states had not been offered for years

The room was clean, but it had a strange smell to it. The handle on my shower came off and I had to use a pair of channel locks to turn the shower on. I talked to two other people and they had problems with their shower as well. There was construction going on so there was no breakfast bar. I have stayed at some of their other properties that were top notch, this one needs a little TLC. I will say that the staff and the customer service reps were very nice.

The shower had NO handle to turn on so I call front desk and they told me that it was the only one like that there were a few others she told me to do my best turning the broken knob plus TV wouldn’t work and furniture was bad I’ve seen better in garage sales.

Old outdated beat up furnishings, musty smell, dirty carpet, chipped up tub, pinholes in curtain which wouldn’t close all the way, and a 3/4” open gap between the door and the frame…that’s right…you could actually see the hallway from the room and the room from the hallway. I stuffed a bath towel in the open space and closed the door on it to get some privacy. Completely sick of paying a hundred bucks for one night this sort of shabby accommodations.

Tv in the room did not work water psi was weak and comforter on the bed had a huge burn mark in it

AC unit messed up. Stayed at 61 degrees on matter what could not adjust to make it go up. Froze in our room. Eventually had to unplug it. Bathroom tub was peeling so in order to take a bath you had to put down a towel and sit on it.

Because we had a very good experience with Super 8 in Truth or Consequences, we decided to stay at this one in Carlsbad. Various online descriptions listed breakfast to go and coffee in the commons area. Neither was available. The room was cramped and tired looking. Could use a new bathtub. It was the most expensive and worst hotel on our trip.

You get what you pay for but the no smoke alarm hooked up picture I took and the room phone having no dial tone at all was super sketchy.

Front desk and manager refused to accept our reservation, because of our service dog. Claimed they only had a few rooms reserved for service animals. I think they just didn't want abimals in rooms.

Front clerk didn’t know how to work hotel system owner had to come out and enter CC info, that were prepaid. After 1:45 min. NO BREAKFAST!!!!! Like it says on their listing. I was given 1 room that already had a guest😡!! Have another room with no shower handle😡 to open water. Gave me another room and the key didn’t work 3 times I had to go back to have it reprogrammed this is the WORST I’VE STAYED IN. DO NOT STAY HERE back door if not shut securely anyone can walk right in. And ofcourse they wouldn’t give me my money back to go somewhere else I have photos I’ll be posting.

I was really disappointed when the staff knocked on our door THREE times in the 45 minutes we had left. It was an invasion of privacy of the time I wanted to rest.

Check in process took a long time. There were many people in line. Space was congested. And the side didn’t have correct information. There is no breakfast provided. Wanted to speak with the manager, but the cashier would not give the name or number of the owner or manager.

The beds where very hard the staff at check out was nonexistent I had to wait 20-30 minutes to checkout and I was in a late to my sons board patrol graduation due to the lady at check out was very slow at getting out of the restroom there was several people waiting to checkout and she was just not very nice or in a hurry

Breakfast is STILL listed as being served after several complaints in reviews. As of January 10, 2024 it is NOT. Sign in the lobby says this is due to COVID. Housekeeping went into our room before checkout time when there was a 'Do Not Disturb' hanger on the door and removed all of our personal belongings. Poorly managed property.

Receptionist needs to be nicer to people, there was a few details that I didn't like but check-in was the most unpleasant

The evening (after 3:00 on a Sunday) staff needed to be called (number by the desk), only stairs (no elevator), partying all night in multiple rooms (loud - barely any sleep), and NO breakfast available despite claiming “free breakfast.” Cleaning woman was pleasant after knocking on our door - this was the only positive interaction.

I like the location of the propert. Staff was friendly. I did not like that I booked this location takimg into account the continental breakfast option, only to arrive and find out that there were no breakfast options available.

They had some renovations going on but the location was perfect. Our room was clean. Staff was helpful. Food was close by. We were comfortable and had what we needed. The price was good for what we got.

This is a very convenient location for interstates and restaurants and the National Park.
