Clean and well-run guesthouse full of old school charm (including numerous flights of stairs to reach your room...). Friendly and helpful staff. ots of bookcases and objects d'art, giving the sense of staying in the private townhouse of an elderly Dublin intellectual. Only downside is the surrounding area which is a bit dodgy. Other than that, highly recommended!

Very friendly host! But that’s where it ends! Charging £300 a night was absolute robbery the same property this week is £120 (joke) No Wi-Fi in the room (was told at the end you don’t get it in the basement) The shower over the bath leaked out the sides so no pressure, We had breakfast 1 day that was stone cold (food pre cooked and left out) Was told by the host don’t walk on your own out side (great) Hard to describe the smell in the room (musty basement) Parked my car in the secure car park at the rear of the property we had to move it out the night before as we was leaving early only to find I had a puncture!!! And a ferry to catch!! €270 latter (nail in the tire picked up from the secure parking) Pure greed by the landlord for a very dated very poor standard hotel. Wouldn’t pay £50 a night

The guesthouse was very charming as they haven’t changed much in years. All the staff were great especially Nicholas who was very personable. Beware of lots of stairs in the building. I for one loved being on the top floor. The neighborhood is a little messy and noisy on the street but that seems par for the course in most of the city. Many places to walk for food and there is a nice green park with a playground very near by.

Staff were fantastic - we had to leave at 6:00 a.m. to catch our flight and they made sure our car was out of the private parking in time to get off. The property is lovely inside, and a short walk to shops, restaurants, and more, and also a short drive to the airport. Recommended,

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were super friendly, the room was spacious, clean, and charming. Fantastic water pressure! Easily walkable to the Temple area and all the other touristy stuff. My only disappointment was the parking, which was not available during our stay. This was the reason I chose this accommodation because we hadn’t rented a car and didn’t want to have to worry about parking. The weekend was fine but come Monday there were no free parking spaces in front of hotel and so we had to park it on a metered street and feed the toll every 3 hours at 11 Euros a pop from 7 am until 7 pm. There may have been other options but we didn’t know any better. Other than that, we had no issues! Would stay there again if I wasn’t renting a car!

Excellent séjour passé dans ce guest house l’hôte a été très accueillant et nous a donné des conseils avisés sur les coins sympas à visiter. Cet hôtel est bien placé, dans une rue calme et tranquille, à proximité de l’hyper centre - environ 15-20 minutes de marches maximum. La chambre a été nettoyée quotidiennement, le logement est propre. Côté douche, un pommeau de douche serait idéal. Salle de bain correcte. Nous étions dans une chambre pour trois personnes.

Very convenient location, easily reached by no. 41 bus from Dublin airport, easy walk to Central Dublin. Quiet, low-traffic location. Clean, pleasant room, good breakfast, proprietor and staff most helpful.

Harvey’s Guesthouse staff are lovely and welcoming and so helpful. The breakfast is a great add-on and felt like we were dining at home. The room was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. Not really being familiar with Dublin or the places we’d ultimately plan on visiting, the location wasn’t especially walkable (to Temple Bar, Trinity, etc) which would have been our preference vs. public transportation. But that’s on us - we should have researched it more. That said, hopping on a bus is no problem from this location.

Clean, nice size room, historically decorated very nicely. Bathroom good size for a family of 4. Breakfast was very good! Vegetarian friendly. Area is North and about a 15-20 mon walk to temple bar, 30 min walk to Grafton Street.

Amazing, Nicholas and Oscar were absolutely professional and friendly and personable. The room was spectacular and very clean. Walking distance to both the south and north acctractions. Highly recommend this property. Character and history was evident throughout the guesthouse. Didn’t do breakfast but is smelled amazing. 5 stars for us. Heather Barron, Vancouver Island BC

We recently enjoyed a 3-night weekend stay at Harvey Guesthouse with a group of five girls. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and housekeeping came by daily to offer fresh towels and tidy up — even though we didn’t need it every day, it was nice to have the option. The location is convenient, just 15–20 minutes from the airport, and in a quiet area with shops nearby. It’s also not too far from Temple Bar, making it easy to get into the heart of the city. Due to a delayed flight, we arrived after the official check-in time, but one of the owners kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. There were a couple of minor downsides: the shower pressure could have been better, and we’d recommend bringing your own hairdryer as the one provided wasn’t very powerful. The bathrooms could also benefit from a bit of modernisation. Breakfast is available daily from 8:00–10:00 AM for €10. It includes a selection of cereals, toast with spreads, tea, coffee, ham, cheese, and fried eggs. You just need to write down how many people want it and roughly what time. Maison d'hôte très bien située, très proche du centre vivant de Berlin (20 minutes à pieds du quartier Temple Bar). La chambre est très propre et très confortable, avec salle de bain individuelle (dans laquelle il y a une baignoire, ce qui est très agréable pour se détendre après une longue journée de marche). Harvey’s Guesthouse was truly such a pleasant surprise! I was expecting just a simple place to rest my head but there was such charm and character to the place that really made you feel like you were at home with a great little bed and breakfast vibe. Robert really makes a great effort to connect with his guests and make you feel welcome. I was expecting a tiny European room but they had nice high ceilings and felt like plenty room for four people to share space. My only thing to say is just it wasn’t clear that breakfast was an added charge so just note that if you do want breakfast, it wasn’t too upsetting however because the woman running breakfast is so sweet and accommodating making sure you have everything you need for a nice meal. The area is nice and quiet with a park on the block over and is very close to bus stops including a hop on hop off bus stop that each of the three different companies running those tours stop at, and although it is not too close to city center it was not a problem at all for us to walk and felt safe to do so. Overall Harvey’s is a very nice place to stay if you’re looking to be a little out of the hustle and bustle of the city tourism but still have a nice and comfortable place to rest your head. Oh also the shower pressure was some of the best you will find and nice big towels as well haha.

Maison d'hôte très bien située, très proche du centre vivant de Berlin (20 minutes à pieds du quartier Temple Bar). La chambre est très propre et très confortable, avec salle de bain individuelle (dans laquelle il y a une baignoire, ce qui est très agréable pour se détendre après une longue journée de marche). Seul petit hic, donne sur une rue très passante, donc un peu bruyante. Mais cela ne m'a pas empêché de bien dormir Un hôte (Nicholas) et une équipe très agréables. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were super friendly, the room was spacious, clean, and charming. Fantastic water pressure! Easily walkable to the Temple area and all the other touristy stuff. My only disappointment was the parking, which was not available during our stay. This was the reason I chose this accommodation because we hadn’t rented a car and didn’t want to have to worry about parking. The weekend was fine but come Monday there were no free parking spaces in front of hotel and so we had to park it on a metered street and feed the toll every 3 hours at 11 Euros a pop from 7 am until 7 pm. There may have been other options but we didn’t know any better. Other than that, we had no issues! Would stay there again if I wasn’t renting a car!

Decent enough guesthouse with nice staff. Clearly an old building but all comfortable enough albeit with constantly changing water temperatures in the shower. Continental breakfast offered on 1 of the 2 mornings we stayed…needed to pay extra. €720 for 2 people, 2 nights, no breakfast…I could have got a decent hotel with facilities, closer to central Dublin and including breakfast for that…my bad, should have shopped around. Excellent location for Croke Park, but 30 minutes walk to Temple Bar and 50 minutes walk to Aviva Stadium.

The owner and staff were first class. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. Nothing was too much hassle. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The guest house is only a few minutes walk from O'Connell street.

Excellent séjour passé dans ce guest house l’hôte a été très accueillant et nous a donné des conseils avisés sur les coins sympas à visiter. Cet hôtel est bien placé, dans une rue calme et tranquille, à proximité de l’hyper centre - environ 15-20 minutes de marches maximum. La chambre a été nettoyée quotidiennement, le logement est propre. Côté douche, un pommeau de douche serait idéal. Salle de bain correcte. Nous étions dans une chambre pour trois personnes.

Everything was wonderful. Nicholas, Robert, and Oscar were helpful and very nice. Any time we had a question about where to go, they were willing to help out. The location was great as we walked to a lot of places. I would stay there again.

A wonderful find off of Gardner street. The two brothers, Robert n Nicolas and their wonderful house butler, (Mr, Oscar) make this stay one of the most enjoyable experiences in Dublin. There are two beautiful comfy reading rooms and a beautiful breakfast. It’s quite close to the Bus lines and the Laus street car. And walkable to Temple Bar area, Trinity, O’Connell St, Henry pedestrian shopping street, (Arnotts!) EPIC Museum, etc. it’s right across Xavier Church. You can get to many places within 15-25 minutes walk. The owners are very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s my go-to -home away from home. It’s in area Dublin 1. And the curtains are amazinglu beautiful .Much appreciation from Guest - Pauline in USA.

Had a lovely stay. Was a last minute trip to join family. The staff were so welcoming and helpful with great tips on what to see and where to go. Was lovely and quite at the guest house with a short walk to the main sites and attraction. As i single women i felt very safe out walking in the neighborhood. Had a single traditional room and was done beautifuly, charming and characterful. With lovely touches of the modern world (bedside lamp with wirless phone charger) A great place for live music and food near by is murrays, had a great night there!

Amazing, Nicholas and Oscar were absolutely professional and friendly and personable. The room was spectacular and very clean. Walking distance to both the south and north acctractions. Highly recommend this property. Character and history was evident throughout the guesthouse. Didn’t do breakfast but is smelled amazing. 5 stars for us. Heather Barron, Vancouver Island BC

We recently enjoyed a 3-night weekend stay at Harvey Guesthouse with a group of five girls. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and housekeeping came by daily to offer fresh towels and tidy up — even though we didn’t need it every day, it was nice to have the option. The location is convenient, just 15–20 minutes from the airport, and in a quiet area with shops nearby. It’s also not too far from Temple Bar, making it easy to get into the heart of the city. Due to a delayed flight, we arrived after the official check-in time, but one of the owners kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. There were a couple of minor downsides: the shower pressure could have been better, and we’d recommend bringing your own hairdryer as the one provided wasn’t very powerful. The bathrooms could also benefit from a bit of modernisation. Breakfast is available daily from 8:00–10:00 AM for €10. It includes a selection of cereals, toast with spreads, tea, coffee, ham, cheese, and fried eggs. You just need to write down how many people want it and roughly what time. Staff were fantastic - we had to leave at 6:00 a.m. to catch our flight and they made sure our car was out of the private parking in time to get off. The property is lovely inside, and a short walk to shops, restaurants, and more, and also a short drive to the airport. Recommended,

The owner was super nice and accommodating, friendly and very kind. Great condition for a 250 year old house! Buslines super close by to get into downtown but the walk not bad either. And hot water!!! The area wasn't pristine but it's a city.

Harvey’s Guesthouse staff are lovely and welcoming and so helpful. The breakfast is a great add-on and felt like we were dining at home. The room was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. Not really being familiar with Dublin or the places we’d ultimately plan on visiting, the location wasn’t especially walkable (to Temple Bar, Trinity, etc) which would have been our preference vs. public transportation. But that’s on us - we should have researched it more. That said, hopping on a bus is no problem from this location.

The guesthouse was very charming as they haven’t changed much in years. All the staff were great especially Nicholas who was very personable. Beware of lots of stairs in the building. I for one loved being on the top floor. The neighborhood is a little messy and noisy on the street but that seems par for the course in most of the city. Many places to walk for food and there is a nice green park with a playground very near by.

Lots of character and the staff were most welcoming. While the location provided walking access to many areas of interest, the immediate area felt somewhat unsafe and the sidewalk garbage and pet waste was very visible, unlike more highly travelled nearby streets.

Harvey’s Guesthouse was truly such a pleasant surprise! I was expecting just a simple place to rest my head but there was such charm and character to the place that really made you feel like you were at home with a great little bed and breakfast vibe. Robert really makes a great effort to connect with his guests and make you feel welcome. I was expecting a tiny European room but they had nice high ceilings and felt like plenty room for four people to share space. My only thing to say is just it wasn’t clear that breakfast was an added charge so just note that if you do want breakfast, it wasn’t too upsetting however because the woman running breakfast is so sweet and accommodating making sure you have everything you need for a nice meal. The area is nice and quiet with a park on the block over and is very close to bus stops including a hop on hop off bus stop that each of the three different companies running those tours stop at, and although it is not too close to city center it was not a problem at all for us to walk and felt safe to do so. Overall Harvey’s is a very nice place to stay if you’re looking to be a little out of the hustle and bustle of the city tourism but still have a nice and comfortable place to rest your head. Very friendly host! But that’s where it ends! Charging £300 a night was absolute robbery the same property this week is £120 (joke) No Wi-Fi in the room (was told at the end you don’t get it in the basement) The shower over the bath leaked out the sides so no pressure, We had breakfast 1 day that was stone cold (food pre cooked and left out) Was told by the host don’t walk on your own out side (great) Hard to describe the smell in the room (musty basement) Parked my car in the secure car park at the rear of the property we had to move it out the night before as we was leaving early only to find I had a puncture!!! And a ferry to catch!! €270 latter (nail in the tire picked up from the secure parking) Pure greed by the landlord for a very dated very poor standard hotel. Wouldn’t pay £50 a night

Charging £300 a night was absolute robbery the same property this week is £120 (joke) No Wi-Fi in the room (was told at the end you don’t get it in the basement) The shower over the bath leaked out the sides so no pressure, We had breakfast 1 day that was stone cold (food pre cooked and left out) Was told by the host don’t walk on your own out side (great) Hard to describe the smell in the room (musty basement) Parked my car in the secure car park at the rear of the property we had to move it out the night before as we was leaving early only to find I had a puncture!!! And a ferry to catch!! €270 latter (nail in the tire picked up from the secure parking) Pure greed by the landlord for a very dated very poor standard hotel. Wouldn’t pay £50 a night

Very convenient location, easily reached by no. 41 bus from Dublin airport, easy walk to Central Dublin. Quiet, low-traffic location. Clean, pleasant room, good breakfast, proprietor and staff most helpful.

Harvey’s Guesthouse staff are lovely and welcoming and so helpful. The breakfast is a great add-on and felt like we were dining at home. The room was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. Not really being familiar with Dublin or the places we’d ultimately plan on visiting, the location wasn’t especially walkable (to Temple Bar, Trinity, etc) which would have been our preference vs. public transportation. But that’s on us - we should have researched it more. That said, hopping on a bus is no problem from this location.

Clean, nice size room, historically decorated very nicely. Bathroom good size for a family of 4. Breakfast was very good! Vegetarian friendly. Area is North and about a 15-20 mon walk to temple bar, 30 min walk to Grafton Street.

We recently enjoyed a 3-night weekend stay at Harvey Guesthouse with a group of five girls. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and housekeeping came by daily to offer fresh towels and tidy up — even though we didn’t need it every day, it was nice to have the option. The location is convenient, just 15–20 minutes from the airport, and in a quiet area with shops nearby. It’s also not too far from Temple Bar, making it easy to get into the heart of the city. Due to a delayed flight, we arrived after the official check-in time, but one of the owners kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. There were a couple of minor downsides: the shower pressure could have been better, and we’d recommend bringing your own hairdryer as the one provided wasn’t very powerful. The bathrooms could also benefit from a bit of modernisation. Breakfast is available daily from 8:00–10:00 AM for €10. It includes a selection of cereals, toast with spreads, tea, coffee, ham, cheese, and fried eggs. You just need to write down how many people want it and roughly what time. We didn’t know about this until speaking to one of the owners the day after we arrived, so a heads-up at check-in would’ve been helpful. Overall, we had a quiet, pleasant stay in a well-located guesthouse that was a great base for exploring Dublin.

Decent enough guesthouse with nice staff. Clearly an old building but all comfortable enough albeit with constantly changing water temperatures in the shower. Continental breakfast offered on 1 of the 2 mornings we stayed…needed to pay extra. €720 for 2 people, 2 nights, no breakfast…I could have got a decent hotel with facilities, closer to central Dublin and including breakfast for that…my bad, should have shopped around. Handy to Dublin City centre, this hotel is clean but dated in places. Very helpful desk staff and comfortable bed. Close to bus route to Aviva Stadium which was the reason for booking. We were on the top floor, stairs not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and there is no lift. No air con which made the converted attic small double bedroom very hot during a warm summer day and stifling overnight. Decided not to get breakfast but plenty of options nearby. Got to park in small hotel car park for three days, which was great. We would stay again but request a room on a lower floor.

Had a lovely stay. Was a last minute trip to join family. The staff were so welcoming and helpful with great tips on what to see and where to go. Was lovely and quite at the guest house with a short walk to the main sites and attraction. As i single women i felt very safe out walking in the neighborhood. Had a single traditional room and was done beautifuly, charming and characterful. With lovely touches of the modern world (bedside lamp with wirless phone charger) A great place for live music and food near by is murrays, had a great night there!
