Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Saskatchewan

The staff were amazing and did the best they could with what they had. They really seemed understaffed and overworked. There were a bunch of ants coming into the hallway from somewhere, there always seemed to be a shortage of pool towels. Breakfast was limited and either cold or frozen still. Our air conditioner had an error code and would randomly make a loud noise trying to engage the a/c pump. I couldn’t sleep well because of this noise, it would randomly wake me up around 3-4 am every morning. I mentioned it to the front desk lady and she didn’t best she could but she needed an extra worker to help her out. The owner needs to invest in extra staff.

Stayed 4 nights staff was great and helpful especially when you need decaf coffee. Hotel needs updating as the carpet in the hallways is rolled, the elevator door needed a kick to close so it would work. Cardlock keys worked 50/50 just had to finesse. If you want an inexpensive place to stay that is clean with a comfortable bed this is it.

Wished the hot tub jets worked

The staff were friendly and accomdating. The pool area was nice, but the hot tub wasn't working properly. The rooms were adequate and reasonable for what we paid. It was adequate for a quick place to stay.

this is the 3rd Super that has listed a hot tub that I have stayed at where the hot tub was either broken or just not available. I will no longer book with Expedia for this reason. Don't advertise what is not there

It was clean, and had everything needed. The carpet in the hallway of the 3rd floor was bubbled in some spots, but the room itself was clean. They did not have privacy sheer curtains, usb plugs, or extra pillows in the rooms, but all the basics were covered.

Owner operated, Super 8 was great. Clean hot tub and pool area. We would stay again Thanks.

The staff at the property were very friendly. Hotel facilities are aging but very well maintained.

No hot water had to move rooms. Staff asked us to run water for hour to get hot water. New room toilet broken. Should get money back. Terrible facility. Staff was nice

You cant beat the amazing customer service from the front end staff. They were all so friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately when we arrived in our room, the cleanliness was unacceptable. I wont mention the details as I do appreciate that the night shift staff sincerely apologized and would have moved us to another room if there was on available. In the morning the manager offered us a small discount on our stay and had the cleaning staff come and do a deep clean while we were gone. The hot tub was down both nights we were there but to no fault of the property. Parents need to be supervising their teens and teams so they don't disrespect the place and put soap in the hot tub and pool.

Front desk staff was amazing! Friendly, helpful and funny! Room was clean and well appointed with amenities. Will stay here again.

Staff were very accommodating and friendly. There was dust along the walls and dust under the vanity, but all the high touch surfaces were spotless. It’s an older hotel and shows it’s age, but everything worked as it should. Breakfast was good: sausage, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, 3 types of dry cereal, muffins, instant oatmeal, toast, waffles with coffee, tea, orange and apple juice. Linens were spotless. We were upgraded free of charge from 3 beds in one room to a suite with a separate bedroom and 2 beds in the main room. We were very pleased and would stay again. Very quiet! Nice pillows- a soft and a hard on each bed.

The room was comfortable. The bathtub was not completely clean. I cleaned it myself before using. Went to get washcloths and was told she had 2 washcloths for the entire hotel. She gave them to me. It was quiet

Customer service staff were all very friendly & helpful, but unfortunately our entire room smelled like cigarette smoke. It was the most obvious when entering and using the bathroom, but after being in the room a while your nose went a little blind to it. I suspect this would be a major problem for someone with allergies or asthma. Pillows were extremely big and firm and left for an uncomfortable sleep. I recommend you bring your own pillow !

This was the filthiest hotel i've ever stayed at - will NOT return! Upon entering our room it smelled like literal death. Upon inspection we found ROTTEN SHRIMP in the fridge! When we called down to front desk to ask for someone to come clean it out, she stated she was the only one there and a bus load of kids just showed up so she was not able to get it cleaned out for us. She did provide us with a new room, thankfully. Our new room was only better in the sense that it didn't smell like death. There were food crumbs in the microwave and all over the carpet, the coffee maker had dried up left over coffee in it, there were blood stains and what looks like pink frosting on the comforter and duvet, that was just the room... The hallway pictures have a layer of grime on the glass, the entire place reeks of strong cigarette smoke, the tile surrounding the pool is so filthy people can scratch their name in the dirt/grime. I've stayed in many Super 8 hotels and It is very surprising to me that they would allow their name to be attached to this one. The only good thing about our stay was the lovely front desk agent who checked us in.

The staff were super friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. However it definitely needs a lot of upgrades and we had some plumbing issues in our room. The pool is a bit chilly and the hot tub was a little too hot but they were willing to try and turn it down for us. The breakfast area was quite small and the selection wasn’t that great. Overall for the price we payed it worked for us.

like: spacious room, nice extras like the loveseat and the gas fireplace and the jacuzzi jet-tub dislike: no instructions how to use the TV remote or what the TV stations were about - it was unlike any TV setup we have ever seen before, and the stations made no sense. no pay-per-view movies available. clock radio alarm didn't work. gas fireplace didn't work. was very difficult to get the plug to go in and stop drainage in the jacuzzi jet-tub. elevator reeked of cigarette or cigar smoke.

It’s very close to dow centre. Unfortunately the rooms are not very soundproofed so could hear people walking around above and in hallways

Staff were great, beds were comfortable, rooms affordable, continental breakfast ok but exactly the same for the 4 days we were there. Our only issue was that expedia told the hotel it was a booking for 1 bed 1 person and not the 2 beds and 4 people that i actually booked. Staff immediately noticed and put us in the proper room.

Although we booked a non-smoking room, the room reeked like cigarettes and when we tried to state that to the front desk, they just said it was a non-smoking room. We are not smokers and definitely noticed. Other than that, the room was pretty clean and decently quiet but very old and could use a refreshing.

Hands down, best customer service from a Hotel employee. I made an error on my part and the Owner Simmi, went above and beyond to make it right, Expedia made it extremely difficult for her to correct it.

At check-in, the front desk staff immediately began giving me a lecture about how I had significantly underpaid for my family room booking, and at that rate they wouldn't even break even on the cost for my party to stay at the hotel. She continued to rant about how Expedia is a terrible leach company and undercuts the hotels, making the hotels appear to be ripping people off with their higher rates. -There was no typical instruction on breakfast, elevator location or Wi-Fi access. -The hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke as soon as we got off the elevator. -When we opened the curtains in the separate bedroom, the window sill was covered in greasy, dried-on food remnants. -There were additional crumbs and food remnants in the bed. -The phone in the room was not functional (tried calling the front desk) and was filthy with crumbs and dirt -The hot tub filter/jets were not working and the hot tub was filled with floating debris and hair. There was no signage or any indication that this was not working and we didn't realize until we had already entered the disgusting tub and were soaking in it. -I was met with resistance when asking at the front desk for additional towels (5 people needed to shower after the gross hot tub). 2 extra towels were reluctantly provided. Presumably because I booked on Expedia and therefore had not paid enough for my room. In my opinion, I drastically overpaid for this experience and thankfully the girls were still able to have a good time.

Checked all boxes for what we needed, close enough to Edmonton to be convenient for those visitors, all staff were pleasant, it was clean and we were happy with our experience

Easy check-in, clean and tidy and the continental breakfast was about a 7 out of 10! Only issue was that I’d confirmed a room with 3 beds but was given a room with 2 queens. It wasn’t a huge problem but will just double check that I’m not charged for the 3rd bed.

The staff are helpful and friendly. My family really enjoyed this location because it was quiet and felt really safe. Whenever we had a problem the staff would totally accommodate. For instance, our room was really warm and humid, the man at the front desk came to our rescue with a screw driver and adjusted the AC. Whenever we do go back to Edmonton we will be sure to stay here again. Thanks Super 8 in Fort Saskatchewan you really out did yourself!

The hotel was near excellent shopping as well as a main road to get to the city. The hotel was very respectable looking and well staffed. The breakfast was excellent as well as the facilities. A great place to bring a family. We enjoyed the pool and the room was very comfortable. I recommend the hotel to anyone.

First time we have stayed at the Super 8 in Fort Saskatchewan. Nice location and great staff. Breakfast was great as well. Pool could have been a little warmer but was still a great time.

The hotel is very dated. They need a new toaster as only one side worked and it took along time to toast as there was a line up for the toaster.Staff was nice and helpful.

It was enjoyable. Room was clean, pool was nice and hot tub was hot. Breakfast was good and the staff is very friendly. Stayed for 5 nights and I will stay again.

Overall it was good. Great staff. Very disappointed of the breakfast option, not much, all week it was scrambled eggs or mini omelette and sausages, the last two days no sausages or bacon. Only apples as fruits.

I have stayed there before. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 this time because the free breakfast used to be awesome and now it was hardly edible and almost no variety. My last morning I did not even bother to have any. The staff though are some of the nicest people and most helpful people you could ever meet. I truly enjoyed chatting with the front desk staff.

We had a good sized group so we booked the triple queen rooms. They worked great! A few didn't find the beds comfortable but most had no issues. The rooms were as advertised. The girls happened to get a room with an extra sink outside the bathroom which was very convenient. The breakfast was very good with lots of options and nice hot options as well. Nice dining space. The staff were cordial and polite. Great experience
