Beekman Arms and Delamater Inn

I liked it all except that I prefer to be in the main lodge and assumed I was, however I'm in a little white out building... the room is fine and I actually have a parking space and that part is great...

Rooms are scattered about in smaller buildings. No elevators since these are older buildings. Large room which was unexpected. Parking was in several areas and you may not be close to your room.

The property has a long history and is very well maintained. It comprises several buildings in close proximity to each other.

Historical hotel located right in the beautiful village of Rhinebeck. Someone was always available at the desk. We were on the third floor so lots of steps to climb. A little walk also to the breakfast area. Dinner there was excellent. Enjoyed our stay.

Hotel has character...stayed in the portion that dates back to 1766...clean rooms...quiet considering room had in window AC...restaurant was great...terrific server (Padraic)... food was one those fancy presentation but instead great tasting and sufficiently filling

The hotel has been updated in common areas and they were clean and attractive. The gym and sauna were closed due to some kind of water issue. The room was clean and large comparatively. The couch was torn and stained. It should be removed. The shower had great hot water and pressure but made a loud humming noise. The toilet needed to be shimmed. Rocked badly. There was no housekeeping the first morning and no notice to that effect. The next two mornings there was good service. The hotel is extremely convenient in location. The staff was responsive. I would stay again.

These are motel style rooms behind the Beekman Arms. They are updated and cozy rooms in the heart of beautiful Rhinebeck Village. A short walk brings you to a very complete morning continental breakfast on the Inn’s expansive property at the Delameter Inn.

The room was spacious, with small frig, micro wave and coffee maker. Basic continental breakfast, but even in the newer section where we started there was a musty smell, and spiders in the tube. Ok for 1 night.

Convenient location. Condition cleanliness of room could have been a bit better.

The bathroom wasn’t clean, there was dirt and what looked like a pubic hair on the tiles. i took a photo, but can’t seem to upload it here.

We were disappointed to find our bathroom appeared to not have been cleaned, with a ball of hair in the corner and behind the toilet seat. The bedroom contained a dehumidifier which needed to be emptied 3 times per day (or night) and I discovered there was black mold inside the bucket. Bathroom vent made plenty of noise but did not remove any moisture. Most staff were kind but there was much confusion regarding our bill at the end of our stay. This was a very disappointing vacation for us.

Room clean and well stocked. Front desk never had attendant and we were out in the "Dog House" pet friendly building. We didn't have a pet but they did relocate us. Breakfast items very poor. Hard and tasteless. Otherwise everything was lovely

Rooms on the property of the inns are in need up updates. The room smelled of mildew. Staff was notified 2 times. Nothing was done.

We booked the Townsend King which was nice but after we discovered the filthy toilet splattered with feces and requesting that someone clean it, we were given the option of staying in another room because they had no one available to clean the toilet. We were given the keys to a "chicken coop" looking building in the rear. The room smelled like mildew, so we told the front desk to find another room for us. We reluctantly settled for a room in the main inn above the front desk. This room was outdated and had tripping hazards all over the place. The bed was so high off the floor my wife had to use a step stool in the room just to get in & out of bed. The ceilings were low and looked like they were going to collapse. You could hear people talking well into the night at the front desk. The room was nothing like the room that we had requested & would have been happy to stay in, if the toilet was not feces spattered. When we asked for a refund we were told that we would have to speak to the manager Johnathan, who would be in the following morning at 7am. We checked out at 7:30 and were told that Johnathan was unavailable but we could wait for him. I told the front desk that we had to leave & expected a full refund. Never received any refund or adjustment. When we got home from our trip, I requested a refund through the Expedia messaging. No response to this and another request. The town is great, but this outdated, over priced , poorly run inn is one to avoid.

The room was lovely, at first glance. Unfortunately, when we got there the windows were opened and the air conditioning was off. It was 90 degrees outside and very humid. It had to be at least 90 degrees, and possibly more, in our room. It took 2+ hours with the air conditioning blasting to get the room comfortable. I think it would have been more efficient and ecologically sound to keep the air on set at 75 on the day they knew the room would be used. There was a burned out light, the carpet had folds in it, and the one window was broken, making it impossible to close completely. This hotel has potential but really needs a once over to make it great. We had dinner at the restaurant which was quite nice. The breakfast area was right outside our room which was convenient. The assortment was fine but I’m not a big breakfast person. Overall, I’d say we were a bit disappointed with the hotel, in general. It needs someone to pay attention to the details.

Location terrific. Rooms spacious. Very clean and loved the Betkmas 1892 toiletries. Conditioner bottle hole to small so hard to get out. Grounds lovely. Breakfast just perfect. Hard boiled eggs a little rubbery.

The room was nice. The fireplace was a great centerpiece. However, the internet was down the whole stay at the hotel. and the staff seems annoyed to answer question or be helpful. They were quick to response and it seem to bother them that we asked.

We loved the history of the hotel as well as the charm. It is very convenient to all the shops and restaurants. Our room was large and comfortable. It even had a fireplace to make it cozier. It could use a little updating, but overall, a wonderful stay.

While the room was lovely and the staff was attentive, the WiFi was poor to nonexistent, and the shower needed to be turned to C for cold in order to get hot water.

No AC, extremely hot and windows didn’t open. I asked for a fan and the one they brought was broken. I like the charm of the place, but if the windows are painted shut they need to come up with some way to move the air around in the heat. The front desk didn’t seem to care much.

Fantastic stay, clean, hugh room with fireplace, can walk throughout the town. Great breakfast!!

In room 44, the bed was so high that I needed a chair to get into the bed.

Negatives: 1. TV in room wasn't working. 2. Evening desk staffer was informed, said he would be up to fix it, but never came. Positives: Bed, bathroom, general ambience, parking. Possible improvements: better chair in room (though space limited), hot breakfast or at least some breakfast meats.

The building was constructed in the 1800’s and it was evident by the squeaky floor. The room was very large, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was adequate, good water pressure however the toilet was a child size, Very small and low. There was a ceiling fan but NO AC that could be adjusted for room temperature, and it was uncomfortably warm overnight. The breakfast was in a separate building a short walk from the house we stayed in, and was a typical continental breakfast with pastries, bagels, cereal, fruit and hard boiled eggs. Coffee and juice were also available. Check in and out was in another building but easy enough.

Clean room, took a very long time to cool it off once AC was turned on. Bed wasn’t very comfortable, great location.

The entire hotel was immaculate. A coffee machine and sherry in our room were lovely and thoughtful. All of the staff were cheerful and eager to help.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Our room was well appointed, bathroom was updated, and bed was comfortable. The stairs were a bit of a pain with our luggage but doable. We ate in the historic tavern and the food was excellent. The front office staff was exceptional. I would definitely recommend a stay there.

We arrived to be sent on a wild Goose Chase! We got to a Room a few Blocks from the Main Hotel. It was a Three Unit Bldg. the Keys we were Given did not Fit the Lock. Also there was a Dog in the Unit Below that was Continually Barking. The Whole Place looked Terribly Run Down! We then had to walk back to the Main Hotel and explain that the Keys didn’t Fit. The Young Woman was very Rude and Unhelpful. A Man came in to Relieve Her and after some complaining we got a Room in the Hotel. It was two Single Beds. It had a Gerryrigged A/C very Noisy. The Television Cabinet Doors would not Stay open. The Bathroom had noExhaust Working. Lighting was Poor, and No Mat in the Tub as it was Extremely Slippery. Taps for water in the Tub were very Hard to make the Water Safe and not too Hot. The Shower Head was Ancient and Dispersed the Water poorly. Continental Breakfast was not Available in the Hotel but a few Blocks away. It was a Very Expensive unhappy Time for Us. What we got for Our Money was Abysmal. We are both in Our 70’s and this is not How anyone Should be Treated

My mother and I stayed at the Beekman for the Sheep and Wool festival and it was amazing. My mom loved the creaky historic floors and room. Ryan at the front desk was a fast friend and a serious highlight of our trip to New York. Hoping to be back next October. You guys were great!!

Upon check-in we were greeted with we need a photo ID and credit card, not a welcome to the Beekman Arms or any of the usual pleasantries upon check-in. Next was you do not have a reservation as your name is not in the system with a tone of contempt. Within seconds I pulled up the email sent with my reservation. We eventually received three apologies, but it was too little too late. When we opened the door to our room, the tv was on with the volume up. The remote was broken, so I manually turned off the tv and back to the front desk we went....oh what fun!

The staff upgraded us to a room w fireplace without hesitation or extra fees. Stayed at many places before and it’s the little things that go a long way, plus Food at their restaurant was delicious.

Checking in at about 4PM, there was a long wait with a couple checking in ahead of me that took a long long time. Despite apologies, nothing happened until another employee showed up to reduce the line of customers quickly.

The antique market is very unique but overly expensive compared to others in the area. Room is beautiful and dining excellent. Staff wasn’t too friendly or helpful with directions to our room. They seemed busy so it felt little like we were bothering them upon check in.

Stayed one night. The place was excellent, very clean and centrally located and walkable into town close to all the restaurants and shops.

Location and peacefulness..

Iiked it all. The room lovely. Historical Hotel dating back to 1766. Most of decor beautiful period pieces. Original art work and hand written documentation preserved and in display. Tavern, cocktails,and Julia bartender was great. Lamb Shank Dinner a classic onion soup delicious.

The experience we had at the Tavern restaurant was great but the breakfast offerings were not that good. There were no warm food options and little protein.

It's a really neat, old Inn. Very convenient to walk to Rhinebeck shop's and restaurants. The room itself was outdated (and not in a charming way) and in need of a refresh. Electrical outlets for charging phones were not conveniently located near the beds. The continental breakfast was way too far away and wasn't worth the walk (grocery store muffins and cereals). I will say the walk to breakfast in the crisp air did help me clear my head so it did have an upside.

We were excited to stay at historic inn. But we weren't in the building pictured but another building a few blocks away. Breakfast was paper plates and pretty lame, compared to average chains like Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. The garbages were very full and it was disappointing.
