The Gold Mountain Manor is awesome! The cabin is very cozy and peaceful. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by natural beauty. There are plenty of places in the cabin to lounge and take in all of the beautiful scenery. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Darrin and Amy are very friendly and make you feel at home. Great place to stay if you are in Big Bear!

We loved our stay here, it's a very cosy lodge with a pool table, lots of fireplaces, wonderful porch for relaxing and taking in the mountain air. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the breakfast is a real treat and it's a wonderful chance to get to know the other guests as well as the innkeepers!

As our first experience at a Bed & Breakfast, we were spoiled! Darrin and Amy were incredible hosts! The place was clean, full of things to do and really cool antiques, we could have stayed in our whole trip if we wanted to! The hosts even served us breakfast! Can't say enough about our stay. If you are planning to be in Big Bear, we highly recommend staying at the Gold Mountain Manor!

This is a charming, traditional B & B! The staff is very friendly. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. A gourmet breakfast is served at a common table which was fun and delicious! There are games and activities for both indoors and outdoors. The front garden is lovely even at night when it is lit with fairy lights.

We were greeted as soon as we pulled in the lot by Darrin and his friendly dog Jax. It was like family welcoming you in their home. The entire property is cozy, peaceful, and full of beautiful decor and trinkets, The place was built in 1928 so it’s full of history, charm, antique furniture, working wood burning fireplaces downstairs and in your room. The veranda was a nice place to enjoy morning coffee overlooking the snow covered garden. Plenty of outdoor garden to walk around or sit in a rocking swing and enjoy the beautiful pine trees. My husband and I loved exploring the place and also the fact it’s only 10-15 minutes to big bear village. 9a breakfast was delicious, made with love and care. We sat with the other guests there which was nice to meet them and hear about their plans for the day and the next morning see how their adventure went! The place is really a gem and we look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful old cabin converted to a B&B, the old style where they actually serve you breakfast! Quaint and quiet made for a wonderful weekend at Big Bear. Toni was so nice and the owner, Darrin was also around and they were so hospitable. Enjoyed playing pool in the billiard room and enjoyed the Clark Gable room despite having the bathroom across the hall! Highly recommend this place for a nice change of pace. We can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Gold Mountain Manor. It is a truly unique lodge in the beautiful setting of Big Bear Lake. The hosts Darrin and Amy made us so welcome - it felt like staying with old friends. The lodge has a range of beautiful guest areas including a verandah where a delicious breakfast is served each morning and several lounges with lovely comfy sofas - the perfect place to while away a few hours. The garden setting was surrounded by trees and lots of seating areas. Our bedroom - The Clark Gable room - was sumptuous and cosy. Our only regret was that we wished we'd booked a longer stay!

We came for a weekend get away for the weekend during the summer in August. It was so much cooler than Los Angeles, the room was comfortable, cool with a huge restroom and access to various indoor and outdoor areas. Our favorite part was the garden, we sat every morning and every evening outside chatting, enjoying the sounds of the night. We will definitely come back.

The manor is very warm and inviting. The age of the building is not a negative factor, I would say it’s quite the opposite. The common areas have all the modern amenities and each room is unique and charming. The host provides a delicious homemade breakfast that you don’t want to miss! The only area that I didn’t give a five star was condition. Only due to the fact that the building is nearly 100 years old. Not due to neglect.

Great communication!! Darrin texted me prior to my arrival with all the instructions I needed it, very helpful and easy check in. I liked the room, clean, comfortable and very cozy. Toni was very nice to us in the morning during breakfast, Food was delicious (prepared by Darrin ). Just want to say thank you Darrin and Toni for your friendliness and for treating us right at home.

Amazing little gem off the main road that has a great charm and unique themed rooms. We stayed in the Clark Gablle room with an extremely comfortable long size bed. The owners of this bed and breakfast are super friendly and serve amazing breakfasts! Will definitely be back!

It was such a shame that we only stayed overnight, as this would have been a nice place to unwind after a full day of skiing. Everyone was extremely friendly, we arrived late and the host made self-check in very easy, rooms are quaint with a ton of character, bed wasn't the most comfy out there but still slept pretty well in spite of it! We will most definitely be back!

As a true bed & breakfast, the stay was fantastic. The food was excellent - omelets, french toast, fresh fruit yogurts, etc. all served out on the patio for a beautiful start to the day. The room was comfortable and cozy. And they truly are pet-friendly. We were able to bring our little dog with us and had a nice, relaxing weekend.

As our first experience at a Bed & Breakfast, we were spoiled! Darrin and Amy were incredible hosts! The place was clean, full of things to do and really cool antiques, we could have stayed in our whole trip if we wanted to! The hosts even served us breakfast! Can't say enough about our stay. If you are planning to be in Big Bear, we highly recommend staying at the Gold Mountain Manor!

Darrin reached out to us on the day of our check-in to query about our time of arrival (by texting us)…and his willingness to allow us to check in early. He was very pleasant, professional, courteous, and offered great customer service. It was a great start of our vacation!

Great communication!! Darrin texted me prior to my arrival with all the instructions I needed it, very helpful and easy check in. I liked the room, clean, comfortable and very cozy. Toni was very nice to us in the morning during breakfast, Food was delicious (prepared by Darrin ). Just want to say thank you Darrin and Toni for your friendliness and for treating us right at home.

The Gold Mountain Manor is awesome! The cabin is very cozy and peaceful. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by natural beauty. There are plenty of places in the cabin to lounge and take in all of the beautiful scenery. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Darrin and Amy are very friendly and make you feel at home. Great place to stay if you are in Big Bear!

Had a great time with my fiancée there this past weekend. Love the breakfast and the hospitality, very homie and friendly location got a romantic getaway. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the world for the weekend or the week. The lake was beautiful and plenty of things to do around big bear. I would stay again or even have out wedding there.

Amazing little gem off the main road that has a great charm and unique themed rooms. We stayed in the Clark Gablle room with an extremely comfortable long size bed. The owners of this bed and breakfast are super friendly and serve amazing breakfasts! Will definitely be back!

It was my first real Bed and Breakfast experience and we felt that we are at our own home. The hosts are great and they were always ready to help and assist us. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the location is very close to the mountain and also about 20 minutes to village. We had a great time.

We were greeted as soon as we pulled in the lot by Darrin and his friendly dog Jax. It was like family welcoming you in their home. The entire property is cozy, peaceful, and full of beautiful decor and trinkets, The place was built in 1928 so it’s full of history, charm, antique furniture, working wood burning fireplaces downstairs and in your room. The veranda was a nice place to enjoy morning coffee overlooking the snow covered garden. Plenty of outdoor garden to walk around or sit in a rocking swing and enjoy the beautiful pine trees. My husband and I loved exploring the place and also the fact it’s only 10-15 minutes to big bear village. 9a breakfast was delicious, made with love and care. We sat with the other guests there which was nice to meet them and hear about their plans for the day and the next morning see how their adventure went! The place is really a gem and we look forward to staying here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Gold Mountain Manor. It is a truly unique lodge in the beautiful setting of Big Bear Lake. The hosts Darrin and Amy made us so welcome - it felt like staying with old friends. The lodge has a range of beautiful guest areas including a verandah where a delicious breakfast is served each morning and several lounges with lovely comfy sofas - the perfect place to while away a few hours. The garden setting was surrounded by trees and lots of seating areas. Our bedroom - The Clark Gable room - was sumptuous and cosy. Our only regret was that we wished we'd booked a longer stay!

We came for a weekend get away for the weekend during the summer in August. It was so much cooler than Los Angeles, the room was comfortable, cool with a huge restroom and access to various indoor and outdoor areas. Our favorite part was the garden, we sat every morning and every evening outside chatting, enjoying the sounds of the night. We will definitely come back.

We loved our stay here, it's a very cosy lodge with a pool table, lots of fireplaces, wonderful porch for relaxing and taking in the mountain air. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the breakfast is a real treat and it's a wonderful chance to get to know the other guests as well as the innkeepers!

As a true bed & breakfast, the stay was fantastic. The food was excellent - omelets, french toast, fresh fruit yogurts, etc. all served out on the patio for a beautiful start to the day. The room was comfortable and cozy. And they truly are pet-friendly. We were able to bring our little dog with us and had a nice, relaxing weekend.

This is a charming, traditional B & B! The staff is very friendly. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. A gourmet breakfast is served at a common table which was fun and delicious! There are games and activities for both indoors and outdoors. The front garden is lovely even at night when it is lit with fairy lights.

Beautiful old cabin converted to a B&B, the old style where they actually serve you breakfast! Quaint and quiet made for a wonderful weekend at Big Bear. Toni was so nice and the owner, Darrin was also around and they were so hospitable. Enjoyed playing pool in the billiard room and enjoyed the Clark Gable room despite having the bathroom across the hall! Highly recommend this place for a nice change of pace. We can't wait to go back!

10/10 would recommend. Darrin and Amy were so hospitable for our weekend getaway. This cozy B&B is very warm and welcoming. The staff are very responsive and it truly feels like home. Breakfast was also top notch and will cater to any dietary restrictions if needed. We will definitely be staying again the next time we’re in Big Bear.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Gold Mountain Manor! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The entire property is so peaceful, and we loved spending time relaxing and taking in the beautiful garden. Rocket absolutely loved swinging on the bench with us there! Our room was super clean, immaculately maintained, and featured a very comfortable bed that made it easy to get a great night's rest. A huge bonus for us was how super pet-friendly they are—it is rare to find a place that is both beautiful and so genuinely welcoming to pets. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing getaway and highly recommend this beautiful manor! Special Thank you to Toni who welcomed us with such a warmth and kindness.

Today it’s best known as the Gold Mountain Manor, a wonderful, historically maintained Bed-and-Breakfast. The original builder family invested in the early West Coast Movie Business and their sprawling 25 acre ranch Main House sufficed to keep the ‘who’s who” of Hollywood away from public eye. The current day Manor rests on an acre. It’s authentic "ranch-style" Log Mansion is an example of early 20th-century luxury architecture. CHARMING. As first time Bookers here, we were ‘Internet Skeptical’ but that was laid-to-rest the moment we drove up and was greeted by one of the owners, Darrin. Located on the North side of Big Bear Valley in a quiet area tucked slightly inland from the water’s edge of beautiful Big Bear Lake. The 7,000sf mansion exudes common areas large enough for entertaining. The main room grand fireplace is built from quartz mined from Gold Mountain. Looking closely, you can see flecks of gold embedded. Of the current day 7 Suites, we chose the Cozy Pine with its modernized rustic feel, a tree inspired 7 foot poster bed, a slate-surrounded jacuzzi tub for two, remote-controlled fireplace and in-room TV and Coffee. ........ continued on next review ......
