Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with exceptional staff. Not all of the windows have fly screens and there were numerous wasps and other flying insects outside. Because of this I did not feel comfortable to have the windows open, even during the recent heat wave. Appreciate that air conditioning units cannot be fitted due to the age and character of the building but fly screens should be achievable. There was a fan in the room and this helped for me but even so, my laptop got very hot and would not charge. Later when moved to a cool location, it was fine. I would love to visit again but probably not during a heat wave.

The hotel’s location is wonderful, surrounded by nature in a peaceful and unspoiled area. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. However, on the evening of our stay, there was an event taking place in the restaurant area, and the noise from the guests continued until quite late, reaching our room. In such a calm and tranquil setting, I believe situations like this should be managed more carefully to preserve the peaceful atmosphere that guests expect. Additionally, having air conditioning in the rooms would make the stay even more comfortable, especially during warmer periods. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would be happy to return in the future.
