Arena is in a great location and literally on the doorstep of the great Wet End shops and restaurants. A short 10-15 minute stroll to the cbd as well. The apartments are well maintained and the pool & bbq are between the 2 buildings is fantastic. The reception staff are excellent and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Lots of restaurants to chose from that was walking distance. Close to South bank. Parking was not included in accommodation costs. $25 per night. Would have been nice to know that when booking.

We were glad that we could drop off our luggage early in the morning before starting our day in Sydney. While we were organising our bags outside, a friendly staff member named Inna greeted us with a warm smile and kindly invited us in. She even checked our planned itinerary and recommended some great local restaurants nearby. I’ve never left a Google review before, but her kindness moved me to write one for the first time. The location of the accommodation was excellent, and although the building isn’t new, it was tidy and well maintained. However, we were very disappointed to find cockroaches in the room. This is something that absolutely needs to be addressed.

Take me away, well located, excellent parking, nice rooms and a good balcony. very central. The only thing is the cleanliness, the sofa had a very bad smell, the carpet in the living room was very stained. in general it lacked good grooming.

Overall a good / value for money stay in a great location with easy access to numerous cafes (great breakfast options!) and walking proximity to South Bank. The property was in good condition and has all the basic amenities needed for our stay. The only shortcoming was the cleanliness was below average - the ceiling fans / window rails / curtains were notably dusty, and notable dirt between gaps in toilet / kitchen counters.

Arena Apartments are terrible. There was no reception desk for check in, then when we finally got into the apartment it was filthy ( showers, floors, water jug wee on blinds in bedroom) and also had no working television. We called to advise it was broken and were told a caretaker would look at it, after 3 further phone calls, he arrived at 8pm only to rudely tell us he wasnt the maintainence manager and couldnt fix it, he couldn't move us and it was unlikely he had another tv. So too bad!! We paid $350 for the apartment which didnt resemble the photos . We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. If you expect quality apartments with RELIABLE service. DO NOT STAY HERE.

If I was to stay again I would book a deluxe apartment. Room needs an update/tidy up. Dirty blinds, fixtures missing etc. perfectly functional but it’s the small things that add up to make an impression.

Bed was terrible as it was two single beds put together and could lay in the middle as the mattresses weren’t even. Very uncomfortable and ended up sleeping for a bit in the lounge room. The blind directly in line with the top of the bed also let light come in which was in eye line when laying down in bed. Made it very hard to get to sleep as well with outside light beaming in from other rooms etc.

Apartment itself was fine. Nice and spacious and 2 bed, 2 bath was extremely handy for us as we were attending an event at the convention centre. Check in wasn’t overly clear & directions on how and where to check in on arrival could’ve been clearer also. Other than that, great stay and exactly what we needed.

Facility was fine. Size was fine. Non-regular hour checkin process and hotdesk was bad. Communication was bad. 1. I called 3 numbers as the self checkin kiosk didnt work. one 1 number was able to help me. The numbers are all over the places...providing different phone numbers (on the door, in email, on screen). all differrent numbers. 2. my checkout time was also not the same. the signage for self checkout was not clear.

The property itself is decent, but the communication from workers over the phone if you're checking in after 5pm is very poor. Took an hour to check in and get car park. Not exceptable. I asked a couple that were in the lobby for help and they said there is at least once a week problem with guests checking in that they help. The couple were tenants of the apartments. Workers finish at 5pm, so if you're checking in after that time i definitely wouldn't recommend this place especially if you are trying to get car parking.

I stayed for a week with my family, and although the facilities were decent, the customer service was absolutely appalling. Since we were checking in after hours on Christmas Day, it would be expected if there was an issue while checking in. Which is why I made several calls weeks, days, and even just a few hours in advance, to make sure we would beable to get our keys. Every time I was always reassured that all I had to do was call the on-site after hours caretaker with the given number - no need to worry. Yes, someone will definitely be there to help you check in. And yet my family and I were stuck, waiting outside for TWO whole hours - with no one picking up our calls or answering the several voicemails we had left. The ONLY reason we were able to get in the night was thanks to a very kind couple who were permanent residents in the apartment. They made several calls for us and eventually managed to get the supposedly on-site caretaker to come over. Christmas Day or not, that kind of customer service is entirely unacceptable - he didn’t even seem apologetic at all for making us wait outside for 2 hours. Overall, the staff were unfriendly, and the customer service was non-existent. Nice rooms or not, our stay was extremely disappointing.

Inna on reception did a wonderful job in relocating us as our apartment didn’t have the king bed as requested. She escorted us to our new room once it was ready and made sure we were happy. Love the location of these apartments as it is an easy walk to the West End for cafes and supermarkets or to South Bank for more dining options or ferries to other sight seeing options.

Upon arrival the check in clerk informed us and another group of guests that the check in kiosk was for after hours checking in only. Then proceeded to check us in one by one on that kiosk. Instead of troubleshooting it by the very least turning it off and on again he took everyone to the desk and checked us in there using a payment terminal that didn't have tap as a payment option so no one could use their phones to pay. After that whole situation we made it up to our room and it was cool as the air conditioning had been on, the counter tops and tables had been wiped down but it was very clear that the room was not dusted regularly as dust had already begun to settle on these surfaces again. After a sleepless night for my partner being asthmatic, I went on a cleaning rampage and found the air conditioning filter to have not been cleaned or changed for probably about 6 or more months. The top of the fan blades in the bedroom had a thick layer of dust on them as well as all the door frames and picture frames. The lights above the kitchen counter were coated in dust that had blown out of the air conditioning vent that was aimed right at them. There were no tissues in the room so I had to go to the pharmacy and get some while I was getting some anti-histamines also to stop her from sneezing to death. I can not and will not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Great area to access South Bank. Only disappointing experience was 2 nights of very, loud, noisy guests in apartment below. Noise policy wasn't in place for those guests, or maybe permanent residence, as locals did say it has happened before.

Arena is in a great location and literally on the doorstep of the great Wet End shops and restaurants. A short 10-15 minute stroll to the cbd as well. The apartments are well maintained and the pool & bbq are between the 2 buildings is fantastic. The reception staff are excellent and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Great location, courteous staff. However the staff were seemingly not empowered to take simple decisions. We were there for 6 days & after 3 days asked for cleaning & change of linen. The service offered at the time of booking was housekeeping upon request. However the staff refused & we had to show the booking conditions in writing. Very reluctantly they agreed & carried it out as a favour. There was no electric kettle in the room as mentioned. The gym is small & rudimentary, just for information.

Room was okay. Location not great. Beds weren’t super comfy or warm. The building is poorly insulated, cold, hot, cold and noise travels very loudly from other apartments and outside. Wouldn’t stay again.
