Really really nice staff - they were so accommodating and helpful- beyond what could be expected. We only stayed one night but they made us wish we had stayed a little longer.

Not sure what's going on with the 5/5 reviews - our experience was vastly different. I've given feedback to management directly, so won't labour the point here. Positives: - The staff were lovely (as everywhere in Sri Lanka) - Breakfast was generous, reasonably priced and good - Great view - Hot shower Negatives - This is a 2-2.5 star property at best - looks good from afar but needs serious renovation - Rough finishings, tired furnishings, musty smell throughout, very sparse (our large family room was mostly empty floor space) - Felt like an abandoned castle in the middle of nowhere - zero atmosphere We had initially booked 2 nights but left after the first and moved into another hotel.
