Check in, quick & easy. Very disappointed by misleading photos of pool area, it looked like a hot tub, which is a must have for me, so imagine my surprise when informed there was no hot tub, it's a kiddie pool. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We were able to offload the luggage at the front desk & my son took it to the room while I parked in the on-site parking garage. A nice convenience. Location is great.Entering the hotel from the parking garage requires a room key. Nice level of security. the halls were narrow, a little dark, & potentially dangerous. Not very inviting. Entering our room felt like entering a mechanical room. Very tight living area, poor use of space. Bathroom was very, no counter space, & very low ceilings w/ damage to tiles. Had a balcony w/ partial ocean view, nice. TV didn't work @1st but fixed quickly. Beds not comfortable, small for full, & noisy.AC works well pretty loud.Beach access was fantastic. Breakfast TERRIBLE. felt rushed. Ice machine on our floor out off order.@1104 on day of departure staff was knocking on the door telling us to get out. Very disappointed overall. Staff at check in were wonderful. Front desk staff called to let me know i had left something of significant value. Held it until i could get back to pick up. That was greatly appreciated. Charged a resort fee for a hotel. DEFINITELY NOT A RESORT. Wanted to add photos but its not responding to clicking the button.

I loved that it was in walking distance to many of the shops, attractions and the beach. The hotel needs to be renovated. I was disappointed that the pool was closed. The breakfast was not what we expected. We had to warm up the omelette’s ourselves. The juice was also very watered down.

good location, we were staying on the 7th floor and the elevators kept breaking. My son was trapped in one until the fire dept came to pry the doors open. That elevator was out of order the rest of our stay. The remaining elevator kept stopping, requiring several trips via the stairs to 7th floor. The doors on the elevator had several pry marks on the door so was not very comforting everytime you had to use it. Several times I came down the elevator then had to walk back up.. my husband is disabled and can do fairly well in normal circumstances but was unable to do some things due to maybe not being able to walk the 7 flights back up. Our car was parked on the 5th floor so it was possible to do the 2 floors and get to the car. The rest of the stay was fine. Rooms clean and easy to get to the beach.

Can’t beat the views from the ocean front rooms! Only ONE elevator worked, out of 3! That was a bit annoying, but we were only there one night. We enjoyed the parking garage attached to the hotel too!

This hotel is clean, not updated but clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Room service came twice a day sometimes to check if we needed anything. The free breakfast was awesome! They had muffins, fruit ,bagels, cream cheese, cereal.. plenty more! The gym also had a beach view and under the hotel had two restaurants and stores! Super convenient!! Also not to mention it’s near stores and the rides! Overall, great experience.

My stay was OK. Pool, proximity to beach and balcony in room are all things I look forward to when choosing a hotel. The only major issue I had was the site “ stated” there is a hot tub, but there isn’t! The pic that portrays there being a hot tub in the pool area isn’t correct, what is there is “a child’s pool!”

The hallway smelled horrible, and the elevators were really sketchy; one of them broke down. Our bathroom tub would not drain properly, and the second bathroom's sink would not drain. The pool area was a mess. But other than that, it was great; the customer service downstairs was amazing. The people doing the breakfast were polite and kind

Floor was grimy, probably from some spray that didn’t get wiped away. Everything was fine, if not awesome. However, while packing up to leave, my husband stepped on a large cockroach. If we weren’t already leaving, I don’t know that I could have stayed an extra night knowing that more bugs were probably crawling around the room.

The floor in the room wasn't clean, the shower had mold and even pictures had stains. The ocean/beach view was the nicest part. This is a hotel advertising as a resort when it is more like a hotel in need of a renovation. Charging a resort fee is just a scammy cash grab. Brooms were mounted along the corridor walls to get to the rooms, put them in a closet somewhere. The fake wood floors were uneven, had softspots and dips when you stepped in certain places. The floor had a long running crack that they just covered with tape. The parking garage is tight. We had issues with getting our truck in and was a big ordeal everytime we wanted to go out and come back to park. Some of the doors from the parking garage to the hotel corridors where the rooms are were left wide open to the public even though a room key is normally required to get in.

The condition of the property is the only thing I have to complain about. Only one elevator functioned during my stay and it was very inconvenient as I was on the 5th floor. The bedrooms were okay, they were not dirty but not clean either. When I wanted to use the microwave, I found it was not connected, so I had to connect it myself. The hotel room phone also was not connected. Online the room seemed a lot bigger to me but they were actually quite small. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful, but the building (excluding the lobby) needs some much TLC.

We have stayed here several times before but this is the first time our room was not great. The toilet had some strange thing happening that made a terrible loud noise when flushed. The front door jam is splitting so the door was wobbly when opening and closing. And the room had an odor resembling a mix of musty and sewer. We spent little time in the room but the view and the beach were great!

We were not able to get into our room until 45 minutes past check in time. Check in being 4p.m. We finally received a phone call at 4:45 that our room was ready. Employee was rude and insisted it was our fault room was not ready because at the time of Reservation (over a month before this date) we requested a floor on a lower level. Door did not close properly. Had to push or pull on it to get it latched and locked. Toilet didn’t flush properly was loud and handle needed to be held down. Room smelled of sewage. Will not return to this hotel in the future.

Great place to stay! The employees were so friendly and great at thier jobs. Check in was fast, everything was as it should have been. Reservation accurate for what I pd for. I even got to pick what floor we were on. The room was clean and well equipped. Only one elevator was working.not a big problem except for last night when a tour bus arrived. Still didnt wait long. The breakfast was ok. Mostly carbs. There was an omelet that you microwaved, not that good, some yogurt, oranges and bananas and the rest was bread. We loved our stay and we will be back!

I stayed two nights. This morning when i woke about 9am i got in the shower. When i got out of the shower and wrapped myself in a towel, i heard a mans voice. Asked my boyfriend if he said something, he said no. I told him i heard a man talking. I turned around and there was a man in the middle door way my room between the living room and bedroom. I screamed and slammed the middle door and told my boyfriend there was a man in our room. He went to see and the man had left the room and was down the hallway. Said he was maintenance. I did not order any service. I felt super unsafe

Check in check out both quick, easy. Front desk Clerk was helpful, pleasant and help with any questions we had. All staff was hepful polite and went out of their way to help. Only thing that was with only 1 elevator working at times the wait was a little long. Also with the shops closing Tuesday and Wednesday was a disappointing since they were my shopping days.

Stayed for 5 days. The room was cleaned 2 of those days after we contacted the front desk two times. I had to go to the front desk multiple times for just clean towels. It was very difficult to communicate with cleaning staff due to not speaking English or being able to use a phone translator.

Awesome service from the beginning to end. Amazing balcony overlooking the water. One of the elevators were broken most of my stay, but that was just only a mild inconvenience because I was on the top floor. But they were consistently working on it and super friendly about the whole thing. The only thing I was wished they had was a light on the balcony so I could read. Housekeeping even kept my book open to the page I left it on when remaking my bed!

The hotel is conveniently placed near the pier, Fun Park, and a beautiful beachfront view with multiple exits to street level. The two Ocean’s 14 restaurants attached to the hotel are also worth checking out with reasonable prices and exceptional food.

It was okay. Being on the boardwalk and close to things was nice. We had to change rooms when we first arrived at night due to extremely loud neighbors and the vinyl floor in each was peeling up. Need some updates but good location.

We had a good stay at Sandcastle Resort on the Beach. The parking deck is very small and narrow. I drive a Honda Odyssey and had trouble finding parking that I would fit in and the clearance is low. I thought we would scrap the top of our van. Our original room we checked into had a clogged toilet (room 207) and we had to move up a floor (308). The staff were incredible and got us into a new room in minutes. The second floor is loud with the pool, laundry and breakfast, so make sure you request a higher floor. Be aware, breakfast is cereal, bagels and pre-packaged danishes and muffins, and some fruit. Definitely the biggest perk of this hotel is the beach access, you are right next to the pier and about the middle of the boardwalk, so you are within walking distance of everything. Staying at this end of the boardwalk is quitter than staying near King Neptune.

I love the fact that we were right on the Beach. Parked my car and walked into the resort and never saw it again which was awesome. Walking distance to every thing. Clean, beautiful, awesome staff, Am never staying anywhere else but here! My family and I had an amazing time.

I stayed on a family vacation in July 2022 in room 405, with an oceanfront view. The room was nice, and the view was great, however, the exterior door to the balcony was in disrepair. I communicated with the person at the front desk about the condition of the door (severely chipped paint-you can see it from the beach.), unlike the other outside balcony doors. It didn't affect our stay negatively, it was just the condition of the door that they should be made aware. I am not certain if any action will be taken to address this, I was not left with that impression. Cleaning only comes every 3 days unless you request a special clean, this is typical now it seems, however, the guests were left to have to either call the front desk or on many occasions go down and ask for clean towels, and toilet paper, etc. Which the hotel obliged. There has to be an easier way. It becomes real inconvenient. The location is good, you can walk to pretty much everything. Parking is tight especially for SUV's.

The rooms have been upgraded a bit, but we didn’t even get a ‘do not disturb’ sign. There is a larger refrigerator and a microwave, as well as a small table. No luggage rack. Small bathroom. Positives include plenty of on-site parking, a bike rental/beach shop on site, and the location on the boardwalk means a short walk to the beach. We loved the location and the fact that it was right at the fishing pier! Lots of eateries around and the live music in hotel bar was nice! All was good, but the property needs some updates. And the "complimentary breakfast" was handled very uniquely! We had to give them a "ticket" to go inside. Then we were in a long line like "school cafeteria style" only to have very select food options, which was not your usual waffles, eggs fruit...There was no meat at all?? But overall, okay stay!

Beautiful property I’ve stayed here twice. Not a huge fan of the breakfast but everything else is amazing. 2 restaurants connected as well as a store for all your needs. Amazing view of the ocean. Walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Definitely a 5 star! Highly recommend.

While the hotel clearly has a bit of age, mostly seen in the hallways and elevators, it is a perfectly decent stay. For five days staff was friendly and we had no issues. The breakfast is mostly carbs and starches with the option of a microwavable omelet fresh fruit and yogurt as well. We got a gift when checking in when we mentioned it was our honeymoon. No additional cost for parking. Anything we needed additional was no issue and got to us fast. Walk right out on the beach. Nice restaurant and gift shop/convenience store right on 1st level. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Hotel staff was fantastic. 2 out of the 3 elevators were working, and this caused long waiting periods to get upstairs and downstairs. Ordered food from the restaurant, and nobody called to tell us it was ready resulting in soggy food. Not cool for what we paid. Hallways were dirty, but the rooms were ok; smaller than expected though. Furniture could stand to be updated as it was visibly damaged and falling apart. Some of the dresser drawers would hardly close. The batteries were dead in the safe. Aside from all of the above, we truly enjoyed our stay. Everyone we spoke with that worked at the hotel was fantastic and helpful. The location is great, and we were able to enjoy music from the restaurant below on our balcony. We had fun watching people get up early to get a morning surf in as well as watch the sun rise; truly spectacular. Pool was REALLY chlorinated, but we had a great time regardless. Awesome shower water pressure. We will definitely stay here again.

Y'all did amazing! We had a good time, yes there are reviews that say it was a bit outdated but don't let that discourage you! it was very clean. They do a good job keeping it clean and breakfast was nice too. The pool was nice and clean and fresh towels. The bed were really comfortable, the water reaches a nice temperature. The ac in our room worked just fine.. the only thing that could use a little attention is the outside patio floor, but it's outside I'm not expecting it to be super clean. Thank y'all and keep up the good work!

Location is great, had breakfast every morning wished had a little more than the basic continental but I get it. I used the laundry which was a great amenity, I stay over 5 days. I also loved they had a garage to park the height for that is 6’2 not very high but works great for a basic vehicle
