Can't recommend the Senda Hotel enough. It provides an intimate feel of an upscale ecolodge while having all the services of a larger hotel. The staff and kitchen are top quality and you can book any activity straight from the hotel. There is plenty of wildlife on the property and also access to a nature reserve.

We spent two amazing days at this beautiful hotel. Everything was special from the welcome to the cabins, the activities they offer and the wonderful staff who was always willing to go above and beyond. The restaurant was also great in terms of food offerings, quality and service. There were also special touches we didn’t expect like a game room and smores for the kids!

Cute little cottage with hiking trails on the property. Easy 10 minute downhill walk to Santa Elena where there are more options for dining. Be sure to bring a raincoat and to take a taxi back up the hill. The base fare is $3 for a taxi ride plus whatever you choose to tip.

We loved our stay at Senda! The staff was friendly and helpful. We appreciated all the assistance and advice they provided. We enjoyed the evening service. The hot water bottles were wonderful on the cool evenings. Our room was spacious. The bed was quite comfortable. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. Every meal we had was amazing. We also liked that they provided binoculars for our use during our stay. Overall, if you are looking for a wonderful and comfortable place to stay in the Monteverde area, you should choose here.

We had the best service we have ever had at a hotel at Senda Monteverde. We felt like cherished guests. The property is beautiful, the restaurant is amazing, and we were so well taken care of. Even the mini bar and snacks are included in the hotel price. It was everything we hoped for and more. An absolute paradise.

Wonderful experience. The rooms are all along a steep hill and have great views. We were given Room 28 Premium King bed which is close to the top of the hill and the views were stunning. The hotel has a number of golf carts and someone can take you up there if you need help. The grounds are beautiful and there are trails behind the property which lead to the Aguti reserve to which the hotel provides free admission. The staff and service was excellent as was the hotel restaurant, El Sapo. Our room also included snacks, drinks, and filtered water. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again. It definitely lives up to the hype of being one of the top places to stay in Monteverde.

The service here was amazing! From the welcome greeting with drinks to the amazing fine dining restaurant service that included free made to order breakfast with fresh squeezed juices They even did a bed turn down service every evening that included a warm water bottle in your bedding to heat it and chocolate on the pillow. Free high quality snacks, beer, wine and juices in the room. I can't say enough about how every staff member was friendly, smiling and always trying to engage and make sure our stay was perfect. We will be going back and trying their other locations.

Over we had great time at the place. Great views and staff are friendly. Restaurant staff are okay as some of them are not friendly. The menu was not good and not many options. It is good to have a shuttle service to downtown for shopping, eating etc. staff are very nice and friendly.

Sende and their staff were a delight. Accommodating, personalized, and warm. They treated us and our 5 year old like family. Location is great, rooms are spacious, property is lovely. But the staff is what makes this place such a gem. Will return.

Overall pleasant stay. Cabins are nice but bathroom and shower are rather small. There is no TV in the room which we did not mind. Rooms do have AC which is useful as we did have one very hot day during our stay. Breakfast is very nice and portions are generous. Only comment to hotel is that they did not honor hotel.com booking confirmation regarding free tour for 2 people (if you are a hotels.com gold member). They tried to explain that this is a tour in a nature center on the hotel premise which is free to any hotel guest regardless.

Overall pleasant stay. Cabins are nice but bathroom and shower are rather small. There is no TV in the room which we did not mind. The staff and service was excellent as was the hotel restaurant, El Sapo. Our room also included snacks, drinks, and filtered water. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again. It definitely lives up to the hype of being one of the top places to stay in Monteverde.

The service here was amazing! From the welcome greeting with drinks to the amazing fine dining restaurant service that included free made to order breakfast with fresh squeezed juices They even did a bed turn down service every evening that included a warm water bottle in your bedding to heat it and chocolate on the pillow. Free high quality snacks, beer, wine and juices in the room. I can't say enough about how every staff member was friendly, smiling and always trying to engage and make sure our stay was perfect. We will be going back and trying their other locations.

Cute little cottage with hiking trails on the property. Easy 10 minute downhill walk to Santa Elena where there are more options for dining. Be sure to bring a raincoat and to take a taxi back up the hill. The base fare is $3 for a taxi ride plus whatever you choose to tip.

Sende and their staff were a delight. Accommodating, personalized, and warm. They treated us and our 5 year old like family. Location is great, rooms are spacious, property is lovely. But the staff is what makes this place such a gem. Will return.

This is a lovely hotel surrounded by vegetation and wildlife. The staff was very friendly and always happy to help. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved our stay here.

Wonderful experience. The rooms are all along a steep hill and have great views. We were given Room 28 Premium King bed which is close to the top of the hill and the views were stunning. The hotel has a number of golf carts and someone can take you up there if you need help. The grounds are beautiful and there are trails behind the property which lead to the Aguti reserve to which the hotel provides free admission. The staff and service was excellent as was the hotel restaurant, El Sapo. Our room also included snacks, drinks, and filtered water. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again. It definitely lives up to the hype of being one of the top places to stay in Monteverde.

Sende was extraordinary. We loved our quiet cottage in the forest but also being able to access town in a short walk. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was pleasant. We were excited to experience Monteverde but hadn’t done much planning before arriving. The staff helped us coordinate tours and all their recommendations were great.

We spent two amazing days at this beautiful hotel. Everything was special from the welcome to the cabins, the activities they offer and the wonderful staff who was always willing to go above and beyond. The restaurant was also great in terms of food offerings, quality and service. There were also special touches we didn’t expect like a game room and smores for the kids!

Tenía derecho a una excursión gratuita por la reserva y después de una semana no logre que me indicaran, de recepción me mandaban a excursiones y que decir que no me la dieron cuando llegué porque no disponían de ella. Cuando un alojamiento de esta categoría va incluido no pueden no dártela. Además una cosa, que no afecta solo a este hotel, sino en general a todos los hoteles en Costa Rica, pero en ninguno nos pasó excepto en este, aparte de estar diluviando y con frio que acrecentó el malestar, no me parece correcto que la entrada al hotel sea a partir de las 15 h cuando a las 17 h ya es de noche y se acaba la actividad diaria, prácticamente.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We came here on our honeymoon and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was great, the breakfast was great, and the dinner options were awesome as well. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved out stay at Senda Monteverde. The grounds are gorgeous and have access to a beautiful hiking trail just out the back. They have a new pool and hot tubs that made our experience even more relaxing. Their restaurant is delicious. We ended up eating there for multiple meals and were happy with our choices every time. The staff were all extremely helpful and kind. They are very thoughtful and helped us with any bookings we needed. We needed a ride to the airport at 2am and they easily arranged this for us and even had a to-go breakfast ready for us with the security guard at the front desk to take with us. We would 100% stay here again!

The place was well maintained with a garden and access to beautiful trails, Aguti wildlife trail in particular. Not many vegetarian options for food, but there are restaurants nearby. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
