Great views (if you select the junior suites with view) at reasonable price however this is a boutique hotel meaning there's no common area like balcony or separate space to sit or lounge and no breakfast. Hotel has two separate buildings, the rooms with the views will be at the adjacent building which is a side entrance at an alley, you will have to climb up one floor of stairs (tight and inconvenient) to get to a small elevator which can take you to your floor. The staff were very friendly though. I think they advertised it as soundproof room but I could still hear much of the busy city despite being in the 7th floor with the soundproof windows. I only recommend staying here if you select the annex junior suite (sea view) which made up for the incovenience otherwise it's not worth it.

Since we arrived at the hotel they made us feel welcome. The room is spacious. A lot of light and clean. The staff explained and suggest restaurants around. The hotel is 5 minutes walking to the tram which takes you to all the mosque and all the tourist places and Also de funicular that takes you to İstiklal avenue. The metro and the ferry ( Asia to Europe) also is 8 minutes walking. The hotel offers shuttle to the airport 45Eur. I will definitely come back to the hotel in the future.

Located one block from the harbor within walking distance. Location is central with train and subway about half a mile away. We stayed on the sixth floor with a fantastic view. Hotel is small and does not provide eating facilities. Staff is family owned and operated, Price was very reasonable. I would stayed there again. They made arrangements for transportation to the airport for $25 per person and able to made money exchange from US dollars to Turkish dollars.

Wonderful property, on a busy main road though but please don't let that worry you, just bring ear plugs. The room we had was on floor 5 with a fabulous view over the river and the Sultanahmet district. The property was clean and the staff warm and friendly and genuinely interested in their guests and making sure they had everything needed. Berk, provided us with tea or coffee each morning if we wanted it at no extra charge. Lovely lad and we hope he enjoys his adventures in Slovakia next year. The location was excellent being at the foot of the hill for the Galata Tower, make sure you bring decent footwear. Great choice of eating places and a stone's throw from the Galata pier for ferries to the Asian side or the Galata bridge to get over to the Sultanahmet district where most of the big Mosques, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Market are. Overall, great hotel with great staff in a great location.

Our stay at the Union Hotel was comfortable and convenient. Kasim (night staff) and Anna (day staff) were friendly and helpful. Anna even gave us free magnets as a farewell gift. Convenient Location & Amenities The hotel's central location made exploring easy, with trams and bus stops nearby. We appreciated the free water, simple breakfast (coffee/tea and Turkish bagel), slippers, and iron/ironing board (provided upon request). The water pressure in the shower was also good. Minor Issues We had an issue with the shower drainage, but it was fixed promptly. We also noticed the bathroom doorknob was loose and would fall off, but it didn't bother us enough to mention it. Solid Choice Overall, the Union Hotel is a solid choice for a convenient and comfortable stay. While not perfect, the staff were friendly, and the amenities were sufficient for our needs.

Amazing Hotel. Very prime location, affordable prices and the best part is amazing staff. I highly recommend this place. Staff will greet you with best Lemonade you can have in Istanbul. Would like to stay here if I visit Istanbul anytime in Future.

호텔은 깔끔합니다. 그보다는 위치에 점수를 주고 싶습니다. 구글지도로 볼때뵤다 갈라타다리와도 가깝고 할리쯔다리와도 가깝습니다. 할리쯔 다리위엔 지하철역이 있어 탁심광장으로 갈 수있고 갈라타다리 앞에 아야소피아가는 트램이 있습니다. 트램역 가기전 모멘토호탤 옆건물 1층에 갈라타타워 언덕 올라가는 지하케이블카? 같은 Tunel이 있습니다. 재미로라도 한번 타보세요. 갈라타 언덕은 생각보다 경사가 심합니다. 호텔이 있는 도로가 공구상들이 모인곳이라 밤에 좀 어두운것 같지만 길건너 정면으로 통과하면 골든혼 강가로 바로나가고 강변 먹자골목이라 밤에 맥주한잔 하기도 좋아요. 도로 앞이라 차량소음이 약간 있는데 창문 잘 닫고 자면 전 크게 문제 없었습니다만 민감한 분들은 참고하세요. 아 그리고 체크아웃때 매니져님이 이스탄불 마그넷을 선물로 주셨어요. 딱 호텔을 근거지로 나돌아다니는걸 선호하는 분들에게 딱이에요. 1층에 커피숍이 있지만 식당이나 루프탑은 없어요.

Hotel war sauber. Zimmer wurde täglich sauber gemacht. Personal war sehr freundlich. Man hört den Straßenlärm von draußen. Aber es hat nicht gestört, da es Nachts ziemlich ruhig war. Tagsüber ist man unterwegs. Man ist schnell bei der U-Bahn, sowie bei den Booten. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in der Nähe. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel.
Hotel war sauber. Zimmer wurde täglich sauber gemacht. Personal war sehr freundlich. Man hört den Straßenlärm von draußen. Aber es hat nicht gestört, da es Nachts ziemlich ruhig war. Tagsüber ist man unterwegs. Man ist schnell bei der U-Bahn, sowie bei den Booten. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in der Nähe. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel.

We stayed at the Union Hotel Karaköy on our second stay in Istanbul and are very happy we did! It allowed us to see a different side of the city being in close proximity to the Galata Tower, Taksim Square, and the Galata Bridge. Our room overlooked the Golden Horn offering spectacular views. The front desk staff were extremely helpful (especially Omar) and our room was very clean and safe.

AM ersten und letzten Tag kam ein Gestank aus dem Badezimmer hoch. Die Klimaanlage hat staubig gerochen, wenn man sie warum eingestellt hat. Das Internet war zum Teil sehr langsam.

This hotel was very clean, friendly and well run. The port view from my room was just "excellent/five stars!" The room was compact, but modern and everything functioned well. The bed was comfortable. The sandwich shop a few steps away was very tasty! Recommend.

The staff at this hotel are wonderful. Ana and Ahmed checked us in, and were extremely friendly and great to talk to. They gave us great suggestions, and were lovely to talk to about life in Istanbul generally. Our one issue was that the street noise was pretty noticeable throughout the night. Otherwise, the room was nice and comfortable. And the view was incredible! We would stay here again if we return to Istanbul

They gave us great suggestions, and were lovely to talk to about life in Istanbul generally. Our one issue was that the street noise was pretty noticeable throughout the night. Otherwise, the room was nice and comfortable. And the view was incredible! We would stay here again if we return to Istanbul

We will be back!! We absolutely loved our stay here. Staff, room, location, WiFi, everything was amazing!! We were a little worried of some past reviews saying it’s loud being on a main road but the windows they installed are great, once you close the window you hear basically nothing. We kept the window open for fresh air and still slept great.

We took a room for 4 nights with a sea view, which was as expected, an impressive view. Check-in process was quick, and staff welcome was great. Overall, it was okay but for the price we paid it was not worth it and we did have some misadventures. Some of them below: 1) Noise level from street and especially from neighboring rooms was horrible!! You get used to the constant traffic noise from the street. But noise from other rooms is not acceptable. There is no insulation at all. You could hear anything happening around you. The first night we had some people staying next door and they were talking loudly non-stop until 3am. We have called reception twice to ask them to do something about it, but nothing changed. The other nights were still a bit better, but we could still hear ‘less noisy’ neighbors. This is unacceptable to have no insulation at all!!! 2) Second day: while we were out exploring the city, we received a message late afternoon from the hotel telling us that we needed to move rooms as there was an unexpected plumbing issue in the bathroom (pipe exploded). When we arrived, we were escorted to our room by a very unprofessional staff member. He would talk to us incredibly informally and make very bad jokes (this for the rest of our stay). One of the jokes was really racist. But the most important thing was that when we arrived in our room, some workers were already in with doors wide open and doing their things. We had to move our stuff while people were around us.

The staff was so friendly and so helpful with scheduling my airport shuttles, suggestions of where to visit in the city, and even offering me a delicious homemade lemonade after I returned from a hot Istanbul day of walking around. Service felt very personal, and rooms were exactly as advertised. Great connections to the metro and walkable to everywhere.

Wonderful property, on a busy main road though but please don't let that worry you, just bring ear plugs. The room we had was on floor 5 with a fabulous view over the river and the Sultanahmet district. The property was clean and the staff warm and friendly and genuinely interested in their guests and making sure they had everything needed. Berk, provided us with tea or coffee each morning if we wanted it at no extra charge. Lovely lad and we hope he enjoys his adventures in Slovakia next year. The location was excellent being at the foot of the hill for the Galata Tower, make sure you bring decent footwear. Great choice of eating places and a stone's throw from the Galata pier for ferries to the Asian side or the Galata bridge to get over to the Sultanahmet district where most of the big Mosques, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Market are. Overall, great hotel with great staff in a great location.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay here! Staff was great, very helpful, considerate, and even gave me a map with the run down of the area. My room was on the 6th floor and I had a beautiful view of the Bosphorus & mosque. Sunset and sunrise was absolutely beautiful! Location: The hotel is a short walking distance to Galata tower, cafes, shopping and the bridge. Located near public transportation and quick drive if you choose to use a taxi. Cleanliness : The room was VERY clean and had everything I needed. Safety: As a solo female traveler, there was never a time I didn’t feel safe, which was very important to me. I’m so grateful for the staff being so accommodating and welcoming. Assistance: They also help you book any tours and transportation. Also, I left something in the taxis van, they were able to call around and get in contact with the driver and recover my items. I was so grateful! If you’re looking for a safe, affordable, clean hotel, look no further.

We stayed at the Union Hotel Karaköy on our second stay in Istanbul and are very happy we did! It allowed us to see a different side of the city being in close proximity to the Galata Tower, Taksim Square, and the Galata Bridge. Our room overlooked the Golden Horn offering spectacular views. The front desk staff were extremely helpful (especially Omar) and our room was very clean and safe.

the location is perfect - close to public transport, 10 minutes to any important place in the old area or to Taksim sqr. warm welcome with free coffee and water. Just be aware that there is car noise from the street, it took me a day to get used too.

Ich war gemeinsam mit meiner Mama für 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel und kann vorallem die zentrale Lage wärmstens empfehlen. Man braucht ca 15 min zum ägyptischen Bazaar und ca 20min zum Istiklal (zu Fuß). Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Liebe Grüße an dieser Stelle an folgende Herren; Ömer, Ibrahim, Ismail, Kasim, Ahmad, Kasim und den Besitzer Herr Behram (hoffe es ist richtig geschrieben).

Great views (if you select the junior suites with view) at reasonable price however this is a boutique hotel meaning there's no common area like balcony or separate space to sit or lounge and no breakfast. Hotel has two separate buildings, the rooms with the views will be at the adjacent building which is a side entrance at an alley, you will have to climb up one floor of stairs (tight and inconvenient) to get to a small elevator which can take you to your floor. The staff were very friendly though. I think they advertised it as soundproof room but I could still hear much of the busy city despite being in the 7th floor with the soundproof windows. I only recommend staying here if you select the annex junior suite (sea view) which made up for the incovenience otherwise it's not worth it.

Located one block from the harbor within walking distance. Location is central with train and subway about half a mile away. We stayed on the sixth floor with a fantastic view. Hotel is small and does not provide eating facilities. Staff is family owned and operated, Price was very reasonable. I would stayed there again. They made arrangements for transportation to the airport for $25 per person and able to made money exchange from US dollars to Turkish dollars.

The location was excellent being at the foot of the hill for the Galata Tower, make sure you bring decent footwear. Great choice of eating places and a stone's throw from the Galata pier for ferries to the Asian side or the Galata bridge to get over to the Sultanahmet district where most of the big Mosques, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Market are. Overall, great hotel with great staff in a great location.

Location is great for touristy activities, it’s in the middle of many spots and many public transportation stops. However, it also happens to be surrounded by some noisy hardware shops. The staff members were incredibly kind and provided unbeatable service. The lemonade was very tasty. There was no breakfast, but they had limited portions of simit and tea. The only thing was that there were several power outages (beyond the control of the hotel), at times for many hours. When the power is restored, everything turned on and the phone rang, which was alarming when it happened in the middle of the night.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay here! Staff was great, very helpful, considerate, and even gave me a map with the run down of the area. My room was on the 6th floor and I had a beautiful view of the Bosphorus & mosque. Sunset and sunrise was absolutely beautiful! Location: The hotel is a short walking distance to Galata tower, cafes, shopping and the bridge. Located near public transportation and quick drive if you choose to use a taxi. Cleanliness : The room was VERY clean and had everything I needed. Safety: As a solo female traveler, there was never a time I didn’t feel safe, which was very important to me. I’m so grateful for the staff being so accommodating and welcoming. Assistance: They also help you book any tours and transportation. Also, I left something in the taxis van, they were able to call around and get in contact with the driver and recover my items. I was so grateful! If you’re looking for a safe, affordable, clean hotel, look no further.

Muy buen servicio, el personal es muy amable y preocupado de que te sientas bien. La vista de la habitación superior es muy bonita, el unico pero , es la calle en que esta ubicado el hotel, es una avenida llena de ferreterías que dejan poco espacio para caminar por ella , es hasta dificil cruzar la calle , punto a favor de la ubicación es que es relativamente céntrico y que a 40 metros hay una cafetería muy buena para tomar desayuno ( Galactos)

It offers great view of the old town, and is in a convenient location. The immediate surrounding area is a bit industrial with a lot of construction related shops. However, many cafes and interesting spots are also with 5 min of walking distance and many main attractions are within 15 min. of walking.

Our stay at the Union Hotel was comfortable and convenient. Kasim (night staff) and Anna (day staff) were friendly and helpful. Anna even gave us free magnets as a farewell gift. A equipe foi muito atenciosa, cordial e prestativa durante toda a estadia. O quarto era confortável, limpo e bem cuidado. Como pontos a melhorar, o chuveiro do banheiro não ficava preso no suporte, sendo necessário segurá-lo durante todo o banho, o que era bastante desconfortável e pouco prático. Além disso, apesar de não ter tido nenhum problema durante a estadia, não gostei muito da localização: os arredores têm alguns estabelecimentos antigos e pouco atrativos, e as ruas ficam bastante escuras à noite, o que acaba causando uma sensação de insegurança.

We had a room facing the waterfront on the 8th floor and the views were phenomenal. Only one other room on that floor, with little noise between neighbours, although you could hear them in the hallway, that’s expected. As other reviews stated this hotel is on a busy road and honking and noise is common, if that bothers you just bring earplugs or you kind of just get used to it. We would stay here again, it’s easy to get around via walking or tram or metro. Thanks!
