We usually stayed at hermosa beach house and booked this hotel bc it was in the same area that we like to be in. Location is great but the floors were dirty and the sink smells, definitely needs to flush bleach down those sinks. There are some foundation issue bc as u walk towards the bathroom the floor angles downwards. We booked a suite with multiple beds. The staff were super friendly, but the room is just not very clean.

If you’re staying in room 1, not the best room to be in, the ac works for a little while and shuts off, night time was bad, felt like I was sleeping in a sauna, or room had a bad smell, there’s a sewer drain in the restroom, out first day someone used the restroom while we went and checked the room, someone ate half the chocolate and wrapped it back and my wife saw that the package was tampered, not sure how they clean in there but the floors had sand, the people upstairs had no consideration about making noise at 5:45 am, people sitting out front of the door by 6:30 am being loud (people do sleep and not party at 6am) our car was moved around like musical chairs, I asked why my car was moved from its original spot after being there a full week without moving it the first 4 days and the guy says “it’s because there’s an event going on at the beach”. What does the volleyball games have to do with my car being parked where it was at from the get go. He didn’t have an answer just looked puzzled. People pay all this money to stay here and really not worth it. You tip someone really good because they take care of your vehicle and then it’s parked out in another parking lot where I can’t get to my stuff. The hotel is not just for the people staying there but for the whole strand of outsiders and you can’t even sit anywhere because of all the walk ins coming in. Sorry but this place was a joke for what you pay.

Great location. Restaurant and bar are fun and lively. Our room was just right. Clean and comfortable. We did not have a view room which was understood (we didn’t want to pay a higher rate). It was nice to have a light breakfast but the serving area was a little tight. Our complaint was the valet. We provided a $10 tip when we left. We didn’t use our car during our stay. However, after handing the valet the tip she walked away and didn’t even lift our suitcases into the car! We are in our late sixties. It left a sour note.
