Was disappointed because they listed property with pool and hot tub? It’s been closed 5 year or more.? Hair dryer didn’t work. Breakfast was was horrible If I would have know this I would have booked closer to the cabin where I took a family for 5 days

It was the lowest rate for what I needed. When we got there we found out the pool was closed due to remodeling which sucked because my 5 year old was looking forward to swim. Other guests were noisy and parking lot was tore up. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Shower towels were to thin to my liking. Breakfast was decent, but not many options. I also didn't like that breakfast hours were 6a-9a on weekends as well.

The pool, hot tub and sauna area has been closed for over 5yrs but yet they keep all photos on website and say those facilities are open until you find out otherwise during check in. The parking lot looked like a horror movie with Geese poop everywhere you step and even all over sidewalks leading up to the hotel entrances.

When we got there they were renovating thier pool so it was shut down but the staff started the sprinkler for my daughter to go through. We totally appreciate all they did for us.

Just a weird vibe. Christmas decorations and fake flower decor … dust caked on the coffee maker… drains all seemed a bit clogged … inexplicably moist atmosphere and old, stained carpets … lots of debris behind the dresser…. Couldn’t find a tv station that worked. Crumbs on a broken futon in the “suite” room. Flies in the room. Sign that says let the staff know when you check out but the staff wasn’t there lol The bed was surprisingly comfortable though! Inexplicably comfortable, so that helped at least. This hotel really needs some updating. Don’t think I’d come back unless i absolutely had nowhere else to sleep when visiting.

My room hadnt been cleaned at all! Toilet was dirty. Tub, bathroom sink were all dirty. Table had crumbs all over it. This room didnt look like it was even cleaned. I was given a second room and it was almost as bad as first one. Alot of money to pay for 2 dirty rooms!

The carpet in the room was filthy. The toilet ran unless you shook the handle. The bathroom fan sounded like a jack hammer and the tub surface was worn out.

Room was not cleaned at check-in. Once called that it had been cleaned, checked in but there was stuff on the carpet, stain on the sheet, stickiness on desk. Floor in the breakfast area was very dirty. Workers were friendly and helpful though.

Convenient for what we needed - the bedding was basically a sheet - no comforter. February in Northern MN - you need a blanket on the bed not a sheet. Leather recliner chair in room needs replaced, the leather is falling off. Staff was friendly and nice breakfast

Rooms mostly clean. Exceptions were bathroom floor and nightstand drawer. Continental breakfast choices were great. Tv screen needs to be upgraded to larger size. Staff friendly and accommodating.

It was a king bed suite... the overall setting in the room was depressing. The living suite area had only one lamp, the sleeper couch was cheap and hard as a rock. Overhead light was dim and against the brown walls it was unflattering. No pictures in the walls. Blankets were paper thin. Coffee (one packet) was weak and coffee pot did not dispense the coffee into the pot. I had to hold the valve with a stirrer to get the coffee into the pot. Towels were VERY thin and bathroom had many patches in the walls. The shower curtain bar was rusty. ONLY saving item was the shower water and pressure!!! It washed away hours of tense driving and a poor nights sleep!!! I paid $129.00 and NOT worth it... Thank you

I stayed there over Easter weekend. The hotel was very dead. So they could have put the people that were there anywhere but they congregated them all around my room above me and on both sides of me. I had my dog with me because they are pet friendly. One of the days I was there there was a dog in the room next to me that kept barking. I called the front desk to notify them of this because it was upsetting my dog and in turn he wanted to start barking. I just wanted to let them know it wasn't my dog that was doing the barking. Then they call me back and ask if my dog is barking! I said no I'm the one that called you! I think the owners left the dog and the room by itself and that's why it was barking? And then being I had people on both sides of my room I heard non-stop talking through the walls. I just didn't understand when they had pretty much the whole hotel to put people they put them all in one area! I had a jacuzzi tub in my room which was nice I used it a couple times. The bed was relatively comfortable. Overall my stay was okay. Just a few things that didn't make sense to me that could have been different and made my stay a little better. I might stay there again if I am in that area.

The staff was very nice. My sister and mother also stayed and when my sister thought about if hotel had elevator (they did not) they switched they rooms so my 88 year old mother didn't have to climb stairs. The shower/ tub had a little issue - the shower head was low for me and as showering the water was slow to drain and I was standing in water.

Staff is great, breakfast was good. I've stayed here twice for work, both times on a monday. Both nights it was packed. If it's this busy all the time it seems like there should be money for much needed repairs and updates. The longer you put it off the worse it will be when you do it. When I was researching stays, everything in nearby Hibbing and Chisolm were charging upwards of $200 a night. This place was $120. Maybe if they updated the place they could adjust the rates accordingly.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before when we’ve had softball tournaments in the area. No problems. This stay will be our last one. The AC sounded like a plastic grocery bag was rattling in it all night. Room wasn’t even notably cool. The room was so dated and stains and wall damage showed it. The gal at checkout was rushed and rude to other guests calling to book. Such a disappointing stay.

We were in Chisholm to ride the Mesabi Trail, and the hotel was literally across the street from the access point. It's a cute hotel, with friendly, homey, staff. They are still renovating, which makes things a little inconvenient right now. The breakfast had a generous selection of items, most of them pre-packaged.

You can bike from the hotel to the bike park, this was great. Hotel was clean and quiet and the breakfast provided was well done, thanks!

Pretty limited on the breakfast selections. Hotel just seems a little run down. We did not appreciate hearing a dog barking in the hotel.

The girl at the front desk was excellent, very accommodating. Too expensive but i guess when you are the only place in town you charge what you want. Pool and hot tub under construction, another reason price should be reduced. Breakfasr was ok but again not what one would expect for the price being charged. No hot options other than something you have to heat up in a microwave.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of variety of pillows. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was great.

The breakfast was Amazing! homemade better than any of the surrounding restaurants or any restaurants I have frequented for that matter. the staff was friendly, the beds were lumpy and not uniform.

Average 2 star hotel. Had a tiny coffee maker in room... But no cups. Tiny TV that I didn't use. 2nd morning no hot breakfast and coffee was all gone... So not a great experience.

Excellent soft towels. Breakfast had pretty good breakfast burrito fixings. You do need to bring your own shower supplies such as shampoo and body wash. I really don’t have any complaints. The bed was comfortable. All good.

Clean, quiet stay in Chisholm. Nothing too fancy, but everything was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was well-stocked with waffle-maker, eggs, sausage, cereal. Only complaint was the internet was super slow, but staff said there had been a recent power outage so that might not be the norm. Also important to note - there is no pool. There might've been a pool in the past and staff said they are unable to take down lingering photos from Google. Not a significant issue as I wasn't banking on having a pool, but just thought I'd share.

Everything about my stay was excellent, AND the breakfast was TOP NOTCH. The variety of foods and drinks equals that of the iconic hotels! The hot entree changed every day and each day provided a very delicious hot breakfast. I have already shared my opinion with family and friends and will continue to do so.

It’s a great place in the Iron Range to spend a night or more to get relaxed away from the busyness of city life, a nice accommodation if you want to do mountain biking in the Redhead trails or even in the Giant Ridge. Nice, quiet and clean!
