Absolutely loved this Bed & Breakfast! Eric was a great host and incredibly friendly. The rooms were lovely and very clean. The breakfast was great and the property was gorgeous and well maintained. Rocking chairs on the porch were the icing on the cake. Would highly recommend anyone staying here!!

Fantastic stay at Holbrook House. We stayed in Compass Rose. It is a large room with a modern bathroom and recent renovations. The small balcony is nice. The breakfast was delicious. There is coffee and tea all day long. About 5 min walk to town and restaurants.

Had the best stay at the Holbrook house. Eric and Michelle were super accommodating when checking in. We looked forward to each morning with Michelle’s breakfasts. The place was clean and tidy and had its own country/bay side charm. They definitely make you feel right at home. The house was walking distance from bar island and Frenchman bay and all the downtown restaurants and shops. Eric was very helpful and knowledgeable on where to go. Would definitely recommend Holbrook house to anyone that is planning on visiting Bar Harbor.

This is a wonderful place from which to explore Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! The B&B is clean and comfortable, and it has a lovely porch and backyard if you want to spend a little time relaxing outdoors. The hosts are warm and welcoming and have great suggestions for dining throughout Bar Harbor (our two best meals were Eric’s recommendations). My partner and I wanted to spend long days hiking in the park, and we greatly appreciated the takeaway breakfast options—they were delicious and incredibly convenient for us. Based on the quality of the takeaway breakfast and the lovely treats they set out in the afternoon, I have no doubt that the full breakfast is amazing! The inn is just a short walk from the main Bar Harbor area, which means you get a little reprieve from the noise while still having access to all the restaurants and shops. We couldn’t have asked for more, and we’d absolutely stay here again if we return!

Nice Inn on a busy street. Short walk to Main Street. Exterior is beautifully landscaped and a nice front porch. Our room was a bit small, but very clean and comfy. Hosts are busy but helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious.

We really enjoyed our stay at Holbrook House. It is a beautiful well cared for property with everything that you need. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and the host was very pleasant. Would recommend a stay there if you are in the area

When you enter in, it is a very calm and peaceful environment. Very clean. People very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great. Wonderful location to town. Only feedback would be try to get a room on the backside away from the street as sometimes you can hear traffic.

We felt like we were being punished. No shower curtain in the bathroom, water was all over the floor, wall, etc. The room has a 6” slant from one side to the other. When you sleep in the bed, you feel like you are going to roll out. They could have disclosed this up front and gave us the opportunity to make our own decision. I have pictures of both.

My wife and I liked the feel/ambience of this BnB. Although on the main road to Bar Harbor proper, it was quiet yet easily accessible via a 10-min walk to shops, restaurants, and the shore walk. Adjacent to Acadia Natl Park, this is also a great base from which to explore all the park has to offer. Our room was clean, if basic (i.e., no tv or other hotel-like amenities), but we did not miss anything. The outstanding feature was the breakfast--first rate in every way and so filling/nourishing that we could skip lunch. Highly recommend for a 2-3 day stay.

Nice location and excellent breakfast. Rooms don't look like photo on website. Room was small and Victorian feel and bed not comfortable. Fortunately we didn't spend time in room. Breakfast was the highlight prepared by a former chef. Just wish coffee was stronger/better prepared but they did have a Keurig machine as alternative.

The B&B is clean and comfortable, and it has a lovely porch and backyard if you want to spend a little time relaxing outdoors. The hosts are warm and welcoming and have great suggestions for dining throughout Bar Harbor (our two best meals were Eric’s recommendations). My partner and I wanted to spend long days hiking in the park, and we greatly appreciated the takeaway breakfast options—they were delicious and incredibly convenient for us. Based on the quality of the takeaway breakfast and the lovely treats they set out in the afternoon, I have no doubt that the full breakfast is amazing! Eric and his team were wonderful. We feel so lucky that they had a last minute room available for a few days. A delightful and special place to stay. Breakfast and snacks were delicious and plentiful. Bed was comfortable and the shower was HEAVEN. This B&B is just a couple of blocks from the main street of Bar Harbor. We only used our car to drive to Acadia, minutes away from Holbrook House. There is even a park shuttle close, if you don't want to take your car into the park. We cannot wait to go back!!! Highly recommend!!

When you enter in, it is a very calm and peaceful environment. Very clean. People very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great. Wonderful location to town. Only feedback would be try to get a room on the backside away from the street as sometimes you can hear traffic.

Fantastic stay at Holbrook House. We stayed in Compass Rose. It is a large room with a modern bathroom and recent renovations. The small balcony is nice. The breakfast was delicious. There is coffee and tea all day long. About 5 min walk to town and restaurants.

My wife and I liked the feel/ambience of this BnB. Although on the main road to Bar Harbor proper, it was quiet yet easily accessible via a 10-min walk to shops, restaurants, and the shore walk. Adjacent to Acadia Natl Park, this is also a great base from which to explore all the park has to offer. Our room was clean, if basic (i.e., no tv or other hotel-like amenities), but we did not miss anything. The outstanding feature was the breakfast--first rate in every way and so filling/nourishing that we could skip lunch. Highly recommend for a 2-3 day stay.

The Holbrook House was an ideal location for our trip to Bar Harbor. A nice walk to town and an easy way to Acadia Park. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfast was delicious.

Nice location and excellent breakfast. Rooms don't look like photo on website. Room was small and Victorian feel and bed not comfortable. Fortunately we didn't spend time in room. Breakfast was the highlight prepared by a former chef. Just wish coffee was stronger/better prepared but they did have a Keurig machine as alternative.

Amazing older house converted into a bed and breakfast. Breakfasts were wonderful! Room was small and did miss having a TV during Hurricane Milton.

The Inn has a charming atmosphere both inside and out and very helpful staff. Erik helped orient us and provided us some excellent recommendations for meals and how to best navigate Acadia. The food was delicious and the servings were large. The Inn itself is a short walk to Main Street and the water, while a few blocks away from the huddle bustle, making it the perfect place to stay. Overall very high marks for them. I’d highly recommend this place for your stay in Bar Harbor.

It was a treat to stay at this property during our trip to Acadia National Park! The accommodations were very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. Beautifully maintained old mansion close to everything in Bar Harbor. Highly recommend!

We requested a first floor room as I am orthpedically challenged. When we got there it was a second floor room with no chance to change. The room was awful, decorated in flea market antique style, with ridiculously antique wallpaper that was peeling, carpet that was poorly instaled and was "rippling" off the floor, The bathroom had a tub with no separate shower. I was unable to bathe as I can't step into a tub, unfortunately, so I left unshowered. The bed was designed by Torquemada to torture us. It was overly soft, it wasn't level (the head was at least. two inches lower than the foot) and the pillows smelled like they weren't laundered. We couldn't sleep well. For 380 a night you would think that a hotel would provide premium bathing supplies, like body wash, etc. Nope, cheap stuff. No desk, there WAS a chair in the room that was a bit dusty, no closet to hang stuff, no safe. The breakfast wasn't awful, just "meh". And the owner/innkeeper was courteous, just unable to run an inn in a professional way. I asked expedia to refund us our second night and we checked out early as I refused to spend another night there. Expedia was not helpful. So I'm out $380. STAY AWAY from this place. You can get better, for less.
